Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Emberburn slunk through MoonClan's territory, he was heading towards the rogue border, a place where he frequently hung out. Even he couldn't understand the pull that the rogue lands had to him. But the dark red tom was always wondering what was out there, he'd never crossed the border .... yet, but maybe one day he would.
Emberburn stopped in his tracks and turned around, he'd been taken by surprise when he heard his Clanmate call out to him, he hadn't realized anyone else was around. "Nothing." he responded with a small shrug. "I just like to sit at this border sometimes." he added.
"Undiscovered land!" Emberburn replied, happily surprised that Sightline didn't lecture him about Clan borders like so many of his Clanmates did. "Lot's of prey because it's not usually hunted." he added. "Sometimes I just get so bored because these borders have been my whole life. I've lived and trained in them and patrolled them and hunted among them and I know every rock, stick, tree... the best places to hunt... everything... sometimes I just want something... new. But I could never leave the Clan. This is my home, it's a constant tug of war... wanting to explore and knowing that I have responsibilities here."

Sightline's heart raced at the thought. "I get it. I feel like there should be more to clan life than this."
She thought for a second. "Let's go. We'll only be gone for a little bit, beside I'm a Lunar Guard, I can give a relative good excuse." She pointed her tail to the barn in the distance. "Let's go there!"
Emberburn glanced at Sightline in surprise, it wasn't something he was expecting from a Lunar Guard, but the offer was irresistible. He padded over the border, fixing his green gaze onto the barn in the distance. "This is the first time I've actually left MoonClan's borders." he said excitedly.

"Then what are you waiting for?" The she-cat asked teasingly as she raced past him, gleeful as a kit.
The wind had changed and there was a sweet smell of freedom and freshness as she raced through the green grass. She looked back at Emberburn, her eyes meeting his.
Emberburn laughed joyfully in response, meeting Sightline's gaze as he quickly caught up with her, his gaze scanning the horizon, as far out as he could see, he felt the weight and the burden of borders and patrols and every other responsibility lift from his shoulders and it was the most light hearted and freeing feeling he'd ever experienced before.
Emberburn shot Sightline a playful glance before dashing towards the single tree, his long legs carrying him swiftly over the ground. Mid way there he caught the scent of fox, which made him stop dead in his tracks, his gaze scanning their surroundings carefully, it smelled faint, it had been there maybe several hours before, but he knew it could still be in the area. He turned to face Sightline. "Fox scent," he hissed quietly. "It's probably still in the area, just doesn't know we're here."

Sightline sniffed the air, concern crossing her face. "Then again, it is faint. Let's get continue on, but let's be more cautious. There's still more to explore out here!"
Emberburn cast one more suspicious look towards the treeline in the distance before continuing on his route. "Is this the first time you've been outside the border?" he asked.

"Other than the time we had to escape from the Twolegs? Then no... I've always been... nervous?" She questioned herself. "I never really knew what was holding me back. But now, being the guard is giving me an excuse? Maybe I'm abusing this power, but... I don't know." She looks at Emberburn with a kind of anguish in her eyes, longing and conflict swimming in her eyes. "I can't explain the feeling."
"I highly doubt it's an abuse of power!" Emberburn responded lightly with a laugh. "I would have crossed the border sooner but to be quite honest our past two leaders have kind of scared me?" he said. "At least Swiftstar is a reasonable cat and he probably wouldn't care much that we are out here." he said, meeting Sightline's gaze.
"Wait, really?" Emberburn asked curiously. "I didn't know that!" he added, his gaze following Sightline's up the barn, it was much bigger up close. "I wonder what's inside..." Emberburn wondered aloud.
Emberburn jumped in surprise when Sightline told him to run and then his gaze caught the fox hurtling towards them. He bolted off towards the barn, not far behind Sightline, making sure to keep a safe distance between them and the fox, but the fox was quick and gaining on them. He scanned the barn frantically looking for a way to get in and thankfully his eye picked up a hole that was big enough to fit the cats but too small for the fox to follow. "This way!" he called to Sightline, dashing towards the hole.

She quickly followed, the fox close behind. She burst through the hole, making it to safety. The fox though had trouble finding his way through the hole and managed to only stick his head in, maniacally snapping at the two cats.
