He would have never admitted that he had been avoiding camp recently, even though it was undeniably the truth.  The battle with Sunclan still hung heavy in his mind, and it made even the camp feel unsafe; the familiar scents and placements of dens in the Clave felt surreal and foreign in the wake of it all. It was for that reason when the sun started to rise, and as other cats were heading to their dens for their daily rest, Windsweptashes found himself silently leaving through the camp exit and heading deeper into their territory, all the while trying to convince himself that this was his own thought out decision to do some extra hunting for the clan rather than out of an anxious impulse.
