type of lore: actual history (kinda) & festival?
The entry:
The Festival of Fellowship
Soon after Wastedstar left Moonclan leadership, the clan was breifly taken over by a mysterious foreign cat called Ranunculusstar, who claimed to have been from a far off island of cats who also, like Moonclan, worshipped the moon. She claimed they were intelligent, sophisticated, that they had the perfect society. Though soon after Ranunculusstar left Moonclan, the memory of this so-claimed perfect society - still thought by many to have been crafted by Selene herself and to be the eventual plan and ideal for Moonclan to this day - lives on. A small festival is held once every year during the Buck Moon as a time to remember that Moonclan may not be the only other group of cats to worship Selene out there, and that there is a community of believers. It also serves to remind Moonclan to follow Selene's plans and ways so that they may also rise up to that said perfect, powerful society they heard about long ago. As a general tradition, there is a clan meeting to discuss the future of Moonclan, and afterwards a time for public repentence of sins or to state how they plan to be better and more faithful to Selene going forward until the next Festival of Fellowship as a way of holding accountability. It is also traditional to set gardenias afloat in the river, under the belief that Selene shall guide their safe travel back to their fellow believers on this mythic Isle. (If you really want to play it up, you can say that occasionally fresh gardenias appear to be sent back a month later, imply that they really are communicating with some far off foriegn place.)

type of lore: superstition?
The entry: Although not all cats believe in it, there's a common superstition that the type of moon you're born under in Moonclan both effects your personality, your future, and your potential luck. There's a general belief that cats are luckier on the day of the full moon and on the moon phase they were born under, and that some types of moon stages bring more luck than others. Queen often try and predict the genders, number of kittens, and their kittens' future by the stages of the moon they might be born under, and elders and a few self-proclaimed "experts" in the clan sometimes enjoy giving cats readings about their future. The general guide to the moon stages is listed below.
Full Moon:
Lucky Number: 8
Peronality traits: Ambitious, Strategic, Natural-Born leaders.
Associated gender: Male and Female
Other notes: This is thought to be the luckiest moon phase to be born under. It's also thought more clan leaders are born under a full moon.

New Moon:
Lucky Number: 1
Personality Traits: Emotional, Clever, Secretive
Associated Gender: Male and Female
Other Notes: It is thought that the new moon is the most unlucky moon phase, and those born under it are thought to have a tendency to die young. It is not unusual for a Queen to try and avoid kitting during the new moon. However, there is a small minority that believe the new moon is luckier, or as lucky, as the full moon, and treat it as such. Those that believe the latter tend to think those born under the new moon make the best leaders.
