A small white figured drifted through the tunnels of the Regime, seemingly lost in thought. Momi could feel the tension humming off the walls like icicles. She frowned slightly before giving her head a little shake. There was no time for feeling down. She knew that things would settle down eventually and the Regime would return to its normal bustle, but it was her mate she worried about the most. She couldn’t imagine the stress Mars was going through... The little she-cat gave a decided nod in the air, silently resolving to keep his spirits up the best she could.
The Regime was not as strong as it used to be. A series of unfortunate events had weakened them and he knew that others were beginning to suspect it. Of course they were slowly recovering, but it just didn't seem fast enough for the new commander. He had been working tirelessly to get things back in order, only stopping when he had to. Today was no different. He was on his way to Post Kilo to see how the mercenaries were coming along with reinforcing the tunnel entrances. He knew that he could probably leave this to Gardenia, but at the same time, if he did it himself, it would allow her to work on something else. He only slowed when he spotted Momi. "Going for a walk?"

Momi greeted him with a sweet smile and a purr as soon as noticed the tiredness in his step. "Mhmm. I was listening to the tunnel walls, really." She responded while brushing her cheek against his. "I think the Blind Protector will bless us this season." Her comment was more of a hope than actual truth, but she still felt like The Blind Protector had something planned for them. Surely the buds come after the rain, right? "Where were you going? Would you like some company?" She wished he wasn't so busy so he could rest, but she also knew the amount of work that they were doing, so it would have to be this way.
"I was on my way to Post Kilo to check on the mercenaries there. It would be nice to have a bit of company though." He let his fur brush against hers. It was nice to be in her company since Momi was one of the few cats he could still talk to. Even if he was the Commander and she was his soldier, she was also his mate which meant he would never treat her any differently than he had before.
