Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
When the Sun God failed to answer Crimsonstar's call, the leader knew it was only a matter of time before disaster befell SunClan.
She had set a watch; claiming to the clan that it was to 'keep watch for a potential retaliation'. While it was highly unlikely to happen anytime soon from MoonClan as they were at the moment, it was a good enough excuse.
She'd hoped it would allow her to gauge how much time they had, how well she could keep the clan without panicking.
But the earthquakes had only gotten worse and worse.
It was closing in on midday when disaster finally struck.
The earthquakes had been growing worse and worse, enough to where cats of SunClan moved away from any rocks or structures that looked unstable and could risk potential serious harm.
But the greatest harm was unleashed with a shockwave.
Crimsonstar had been in the middle of camp checking on the supplies and making sure none of the kits Cherrypaw had were in any trouble from the earthquakes shaking the land under paw.
When the shockwave erupted so hard it made Crimsonstar's ears hurt, followed by a violent shaking of the land underpaw.
The shaking subsided quickly, but dread was pooling in Crimsonstar's gut and her head turned towards the volcano.
Her heart sank into her stomach as she saw glowing red at the top and a rising cloud coming off the summit.
Disaster was upon them.
Seeing the fiery rocks starting to rise from the volcano told her that action was needed immediately and she let out a yowl.
"Grab the kits and apprentices!" She shouted. "The volcano is erupting, RUN! NOW!" She commanded racing to where Cherrypaw and her kits had been snatching up one and shoving the kit to Strongbelief. "Grab only your fellow cats! Leave everything else and run! Run for your lives!" She hollered to the cats that had still been gathered just outside of camp.
She knew it. She knew it. Lacelily had tried to warn them that the Sun God had abandoned them. A few tears escaped the corner of her eyes as she ran to warn as many of her clan as she could. They would surely not be able to save everyone and her chest ached at just the thought of that. Once again she felt as if she were losing everything and nothing would remain. "Everybody out! Go! Stay together!" She echoed Crimsonstar and grabbed one of Cherrypaw's kits herself, continuing to shout at the others to run through its fur.
"Hey!" Charmingkit shouted as Crimsonstar grabbed him and threw him at a warrior. "I can walk!" He shouted stubbornly.
Dragonpaw looked back at the volcano with her ears flattened against her head. She only had three legs and was just barely getting used to it. She would never be able to keep up with the rest of the clan and would only slow them down... She limped over to the furthest point of the camp and began ushering cats out. She might not make it out but she could certainly help everyone else out.

The shockwave scared the bejesus out him, just when the earth rumbling under your toes felt normal - life gonna throw a curveball and just said frick your hearing and now all he could hear was a ringing in his ear as Midnightcurrent covered one ear with his paw. What a nasty little trick, and here he thought it was too late for halloween, too early for April fools - life was just being a beach at this point, and he was no SummerClan cat that's for sure.
He aggressive rubbing his paw over his ear not that it helped none, before walking off to find the nearest cats around. Lacelily was shouting something but it muffled to him. There goes that perfect 20/20 hearing backfiring on him for no reason, the ringing was slowly lessening in his hears but that had to have damaged something in him.
"Right, keep calm! Stay together now!" He hollered and without hesitation joined Dragonpaw's side - was Yarepawn's group really down to just the three of them including Guppypaw? He didn't sound nearly as panicked as he should but guess that was just the defeatist in him taking the pilot's seat. The past days, weeks have bene hard and he as already emotionally drained of being on high alert and constant flight or die mode. He had no idea where they were even running to, they just started to recover from on disaster and now this all over again? So soon? He merely followed the direction of the others never even looking back to the volcano; the dampen sounds had him confused at the stronger intensity of their panicked state - and what was those little 'boom' sounds? He felt like he was hearing mini earthquakes of the ground breaking but not feeling the shaking as before
"What is even going on, I can't hear right!" the frustrated, former Janus sighed slowing down to rub his paw over ear. If only it were that simple to heal.
Goldengrace's heart pounded in her chest as she looked wide eyed towards the volcano seeing the ominous cloud over it. "Where will we run?!" She cried recalling how when it had first erupted they'd been trapped on the ceremony island, with no way out.
Crimsonstar paused to consider this question narrowing her eyes as she thought hard. They needed to go somewhere where the lava was unlikely to reach them, somewhere that could take the magma flow and likely get them far enough away from the fire that was about to come down upon them.
"Run for the ravine!" She ordered. If they could cross it any magma would run down into it, and they would be far enough away from the volcano.
Any other option would take them into enemy territory or not have any opportunity to get to higher ground, this was the best option in Crimsonstar's mind.
"Move! Move!" She growled going back and starting to shove any stragglers towards the moving group. "Lacelily! Take the lead, Strongbelief take Charmingkit! I need warriors to grab Cherrypaw's kits. If you're taking yourself grab a kit!" She ordered. uniqcrimstardance
Crimsonstar's words made Goldengrace shift anxiously on her paws. The ravine had been where she'd lost her family. But another glance at the volcano prompted her to action, darting over to Cherrypaw. "I'll take one too." She told the apprentice bending down to pick up one of the kits biyuu ☆彡 (and whoever has a kit that needs to be carried unknownhearts @starkravingmad Bunny @ian )
Resilientbloom went over to Dragonpaw, "You're doing good but we should get moving," She said urgently. "We can go together?" She offered to the apprentice and Midnightcurrent offering him a tight grimace, "We need to move," She said, and when he mentioned he couldn't hear right she made sure to enunciate. "Us, go, now." She stressed so he could read her lips. uniqcrimShadowbladeღ
Crimsonstar had herded most of the clan out of the camp. The cats of SunClan began their run for the border.
But alas they weren't fast enough to escape completely unscathed, a fiery rock slammed down in the midst of the group. Several cats screeching as they perished in the heat of the flames. And the tight ranks broke. Cats scattering away from the flames that were starting to spread from the molten rock that had landed by them.
"Keep moving!" Crimsonstar shouted. She spotted Dragonpaw lagging, trying to shove along some of their stunned clanmates. But the apprentice was far too close to the flaming rock, and the embers for Crimsonstar's liking.
Rather than let the apprentice continue to endanger herself, the leader rushed over to the apprentice and snatched her up. "Stay with me! This way! The border isn't far!"
In the distance a current of red was beginning to flow down from the volcano, steadily making it's way towards them like a rushing river. If they didn't hurry it would cut them off from the ravine.
"Forget this!" A cat growled in the back. "We go that way we're right in the way of the flow! I'm running this way!" With that he took off towards the southern border.
Crimsonstar saw some SunClan cats break ranks and scatter, but she didn't release her hold on Dragonpaw striding ahead.
Resilientbloom hesitated terrified, before gritting her teeth. Mother and father had gone this way, and she trusted Crimsonstar and the other janus and soothsayers. The choice was clear, follow their leader.
The white she cat hared after the leader. "Come on! Come on if we hurry we'll beat that flow and hopefully escape the rain of fire!" She shouted to her clanmates as she ran.
At the head Crimsonstar ran, even with Dragonpaw's weight the ginger leader maintained a fast clip at the front of the group. They would run and they would make it, leave the land behind to smolder.
'But we will survive. I will not die here, nor falter in leading those who trust me to safety.' Crimsonstar thought.
