Justice-tyke knew that even though she was close to being promoted, she wasn't really supposed to be out here. Especially not by herself. But the nursery was far too boring for this orange tabby she-kit and her mother wasn't around to tell her no anymore anyways. Her chest ached at the thought of her mother but she pushed through it and began running through the territory, on the lookout for anything unique, unusual, or interesting. Today she was hoping to find a dead bird or catch one, she really wanted a bird skeleton to display with her collection. The others thought her fascination was weird and morbid , but it did not deter her for even a second. Justice-tyke had only been about 3 moons old when she discovered how much she loved collecting.
Now her brother wasn't around to go on collecting adventures anymore either. Her eyes watered at that thought and she pushed ahead faster, no longer caring what was around her or ahead of her anymore. What was the point of being here when her family was all gone? There wasn't one. Why was she still here? Who was she pushing ahead for anymore? Her promotion ceremony was coming up and nobody would be grooming her to get ready or watching her with pride. Just a bunch of strangers eyes watching. Uncaring, indifferent. They didn't care whether she failed or succeeded and that hurt more than anything.

To be fair, Knox-Tyke wasn't meant to be out in the open either. The young tom was small enough that he could be easily swept up by and bird of prey, should they feel so inclined for a snack. Still that didn't stop him from going out anyway. His kitten fur doing next to nothing to protect him from the chill that encompassed these parts. Trudging through the snow he was at least thankful that he did not have long fur. In only for the fact that the snow did not cling to his fur as much, so it didn't slow him down. He didn't have a goal or objective in mind or even a destination, he just wanted to be outside.
He didn't see Justice-Tyke, too busy trying to stay above the snow when she walked right into the she-cat, recoiling and bring a pay to his head to rub where the impact had connected with the other tyke.
"Ow..." he muttered blinking a few times to see who or what he'd walked into.

Justice-tyke having been caught off balance fell face first into the snow. "Blech!" She shook the snow off of her face and sticking her tongue out as she tried to get the mud off of the tongue. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" She complained loudly. Once he tongue was successfully freed of mud she eyed the younger cat up and down.
"You're not supposed to be out here anyways," which was funny coming from a cat who wasn't supposed to be here either.

"Neither are you" the retort was instinctual, Knox wasn't even sure who he'd run into, but he knew they weren't that much bigger than he was. Taking a few steps back and glaring at Justice-tyke, now on the defensive from being yelled at, the tom took on a more hostile tone than even he would of liked.
"Watch where I'm going? Maybe you should pay attention to your surroundings then you wouldn't end up with mud all over your face." The bengal's tail lashed irritably behind him as he spoke. Annoyance surged through him, not specifically at Justice-tyke but himself. If Kai had been here he'd of laughed it off like he intended for this to happen.
