Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Everywhere, snows dissipated and flowers bloomed, the bursting SummerClan fields alive with that lionized glory others spoke of, envied. The brutal winter was slipping further and further away as new-leaf gained momentum: snowdrifts gave way to sprawling tapestries of crocus blooms and a dappling of late snowdrops; the ice floes treading the lakes melted down into the transparent, minnow-thick water; and the remaining chill was cut through by a vicious sun, taking hold each morn' and barely letting up by time evenings set in. The nights were brief and the days more perfect than they'd ever been before.
Sunstar was giddy as she led the clan toward the Wildflower Meadow. Her soft, plumy tail lashed to and fro, she had to repeatedly remind herself to not bounce ahead- they were traveling with kits, after all-, and a familiar confidence and energy emanated from her, but she was still able to move with her easy grace despite the visible effort it took to rein in her excitement. Once they all arrived, it became clear a feast was in order; every type of prey SummerClan had to offer was presented, all adorned by herbs that had been marinating into the meat over time.
Before dismissing everyone, she turned to them and cleared her throat, gazing between her clanmates with a glowing pride. "This leaf-bare has been the hardest SummerClan has faced in moons. We were taken over, forced to accept cruelty and violence as routine, and had our herb stores and prey taken from us to feed and heal cats that didn't work for them, but we cane together and prevailed against the odds. We proved to the whole of the mountain ranges- beyond, even- that our clan won't fall even when pushed, even when pressured, even when thin with hunger and lashed by pain. I'm beyond grateful to every one of you, and for that I arranged this feast. Eat up~"
"You know, I don't remember the last time we gathered like this," Dawnflicker spoke from where she had rushed up to walk beside Sunstar, uncaring if she was actually listening or not as she chatted aimlessly, about anything and everything she could think of, “other than that equinox-picnic-thing we had with Springclan and Swiftclan that one time, but I don't know if that counts or not." She shrugged, looking ahead to the stretching fields and, as the ground rounded slightly, the heaps of prey. Her tail flicked, she bounced on her paws, "oh! How exciting!"
Instead of digging in immediately, instead sitting back to enjoy the growing waves of the sun, stronger now with the beginning of spring. She settled into the grass, tail laying behind her until the paws of a kit made her yank it away with a wince and a slight, strangled noise. She got not a breath of an apology as the tortoiseshell tom was already off, yelling to his friends.
"I'm going to get the best food before yooou guys," Monsterkit yelled to the other kits, diving for a vole and tucking it closer. He didn’t eat it, instead just rolling it around under his paw as a way to entertain himself.

"This is great!" Fisherpounce purred to Sunstar. "Leave it to you to think of fun and unique things like this to do." He looked out over the fields prepared for their feast. The air was warm and the sunshine inviting. This would be his second Newleaf season, his first as a warrior. "I'm looking forward to what Greenleaf will bring us this year."
While Sunstar collected the clan, Foxfable had been frantically working on finishing touches to the spread. He probably could have prepared more, but at the sound of Sunstar, the tom straightened up with a smile. Things were as near perfect as one could have expected: the prey was neatly organized, flowers bloomed around them. For the most part, Foxfable was completely satisfied (there was a small part of him that wished he had just a little more time, but no matter how long he had been given to prep, he probably could have found something else to tinker with).
His gaze scanned the patrol, settling on each cat for just a moment before he padded over, a kind smile on his face. This was what it looked like to recover into something stronger than before, right? "Welcome to the festivities," the little thing purred as Sunstar finished, his chest puffed slightly in p[ride for his peers.
Dawnflicker's presence was always a welcome one where Sunstar was concerned. All of her original ire regarding the she-cat had since evaporated, and beyond her being a serviceable warrior of SummerClan, she was one the leader could now consider a friend. "I used to force the clan into all of my many elaborate, completely well thought out," she could sense Fisherpounce trotting to join them and could imagine the eye roll even if she didn't glance his way just yet, "plans. Right, Sir Fisher?"
As the rest of their clanmates began to disperse, she was content to relax between Dawnflicker and Fisherpounce, discussing bright things, sharing in the atmospheric mirth, and for the first time in moons let her worries lapse to the back of her mind. She was mewing an agreement to the rusty-furred tom when Dawnflicker's tail was trampled by not one miscreant kitten but two, and she couldn't withhold the ensuing laughter at her friend's expense as the culprits fled the scene.
"Oh, yeah?" Meer 'Sticky Paws' Kat took this as a personal challenge. He torpedoed himself at Monsterkit with all the force of a windswept leaf, swiping a multicolored paw that oozed honey towards the vole in an attempt to entrap its furs in the glob.

"Yes, quite a few, Queen Sunstar," Fisherpounce meowed agreeably with a huge grin on his face. "I think the war with the sky ants was only just the start." Memories of that fun time flooded back. It seemed like such a long time ago when in reality it wasn't. This clan had been though a lot in his short lifetime making him feel older than he actually was.
"Look at the kits playing," he laughed as he watched their antics. "They're really enjoying this."
Look at the kits playing. Dawnflicker nodded mutely, face scrunched as she held her throbbing tail, though it only lasted briefly and before long she could tentatively let it go back to where it had been resting. She nodded towards the kits, "actually I think they're fighting. Do we. . . do something, or?" Her gaze flicked to the two of them for a moment before fixating on the kits again.
Monsterkit stared at Meerkatkit with eyes like a rageful fire, tucking the vole deeper under his chest until he was practically laying on it and swatting his paw away. He was left with a disgusting sticky feeling. "Ew! Are you oozing? Go melt somewhere else before I destroy you!" He yelled, and despite the silliness of the threat he was completely, utterly serious.
Trailing the patrol had been Cypresspaw, hesitant to go along in the first place because, although he liked the flower meadows and the beauty they held, such an open space made him feel nervous, vulnerable. But it wasn't that bad, he decided as they arrived at the feast and cats took their places, mingling with each other. He took a spot beside Foxfable, giving a warm smile, though he said no words.
