Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
i just like making funny little stories anyway this is tom nook & nook's cranny if they sold drugs and killed people! we love it <3
Background
They lived as stray city cats their entire lives, making a home for themselves in a dead end, secluded alleyway between two apartments. On the surface, for the commons, they worked up a reputation as a bunch of smooth-talking scammers, but for those who need something more, they're a dangerous, terrifying force. Eithne was a self-proclaimed loner before, at various times, she stumbled into "the kids," as she calls them, and took them under her wing as assistants.
the business
In the crook of an alleyway amongst the boxes and the trashcans and the litter, Eithne set up shop moons and moons and moons ago. It almost grew into an empire, cats from all over the city would come for the things they traded in return for things in return, especially favors. They stole things from twolegs like old toys, blankets, and food. They caught prey and picked medical and nonmedical herbs. Coins, crystals, bones (for decoration), other shiny things, anything of value.
Selling is not the only thing they seem to be able to do. For those who needed something more, something discrete, they were hitmen. Needed someone gone? Wanted revenge? Wanted someone out of the way? They were on it, you simply had to kick your feet up and relax. And don't read the fine print, certainly you won't regret it. Their business was going so well, why would they leave? Maybe it had something to do with pissing off the wrong guy. Now they have to figure out how to adjust their previous skills to the League, but retirement is sweet.
note
Of course, nothing is set in stone and creative freedom is up to the adopter! I didn't have any particular gender in mind for Blair and Lachie so you can have fun with that. And they're probably not all the same age, but I imagined Eithne as being a bit on the older side, but feel free to change that as well <3 also completely your choice on whether they stay as close as they once were or not.
♢ EITHNE (en-ya) The Conartist, the Merchant picture ♢ rped by open
Getting on in age but spry as ever, she used to be a hardcore loner, tough and mean and stubborn, but over time she mellowed out, preferring to nap or sunbathe more than anything. Relaxed and guarded, she can still hold her own incredibly well and isn't scared of violence if it came to her, but she's stopped looking for it. Solitary, collected, well-spoken, and has a secret little soft spot for the kids. She's great at twisting words and deals to benefit her most and is extremely adamant about fairness. Not extremely mother-like — more the cool aunt type — but she feels responsible for their well-being and survival. She believed the League would offer good opportunities.
Lost her eye in a fight with a particularly aggressive tom — he argued she scammed him, she would argue he was stupid enough to believe it. She's been honest ever since.
Eithne's right hand, often they're more involved in the sales side of things, present in business meetings. The type to be taking notes and carrying books and shifting through papers. Incredibly organized, usually quiet but is an incredibly competent smooth-talker and a secret charmer. Incredibly organized with a photographic memory, they don't meddle much in the violence side of things. Most responsible out of all of them and, though they're rather sociable in a business sense, they aren't one for small talk and can be easily annoyed.
Snarky, observational, charming, and irritable.
Has a stub tail and various scars from when they were attacked by a dog as a kit. Eithne healed it up and they've been inseparable since. Intense phobia of dogs and wild animals.
A recluse, they prefer solitary, quiet spaces to anything else, and are incredibly adept at staying silent and hidden for long periods of time. They help refill stock by going out and collecting or "borrowing" items used to sell. Their skills lies in being able to find use in just about anything and knowing exactly where to find it. A treasury of sorts, they keep track of who has or hasn't payed up. The others regard them as a buzzkill that takes themselves too seriously. Prone to aggressive outbursts. They seem to know an infinite number of facts for just about anything. They can read.
Boring, knowledgeable, aggressive, reclusive.
After attempting to explore an abandoned hoarders house on the edge of town, Eithne stumbled onto Blair hiding in the depths, and it took a few tries to get them on board to come along. They have similar hoarding and kleptomaniac tendencies, but it's calmed significantly.
Sociable, loud, fiercely independent, and opinionated, she's the perfect mix of scarily cunning and adorable. Her energy is boundless and she loves lifting the spirits of others, but she's just as capable of tearing them down harder than they've ever been teared down before. She uses her words before she uses her claws, but they are both just as sharp. She knows everything about everyone and used it to bring customers right to their door with promises of great things. She's mostly the one present on assassinations. Something akin to a jack of all trades considering just how much she can do. Good at reading people.
Perceptive, sneaky, bubbly, intelligent
Her father was the one who took Eithne's eye, something she bore witness too, and on an impulsive decision, she decided to seek Eithne out herself to help her out. Partially feels responsible, but she really had no part in it at all, and she holds a broader resentment to her father for multiple things.
