The silver tom looked uncertain as he stood at the camp entrance, waiting for his apprentice. Silverspectre didn't even know why he was chosen for this, but here he was, waiting for a cat who he hoped wouldn't be disappointed with his unwillingness–or truly, inability–to talk. He peered around. Sneezepaw, his apprentice was called. Where was he?
Sneezepaw was, of course, running late. He couldn't quite remember what time it was that he had been meant to meet with his mentor, but he had gotten distracted along the way, and was now running at full speed towards the camp entrance. He managed to stop just in time before he ran into Silverspectre, and gave the tom a large, warm smile, which made his typical scrunched up face look like he was about to let out a large sneeze at any moment.
"I was on my way here when I noticed the strangest thing," he began immediately, before even saying hello. "There was a frog! Wait, no, I should start somewhere else. I had just left the den and was walking over here when I tripped and right there! Right in my face! There was a frog! That's strange, don't you think? It's cold, so I heard that frogs don't come out in the cold. Maybe it got lost, or it just doesn't mind the cold. But, anyway, it just hopped away and went towards the medicine cat den! Maybe it wanted the water in there. Frogs like water, don't they?" He obviously wasn't actually waiting for an answer.

A small smile appeared on his face, though it was still filled with the skittish awkwardness he always had on his face. He was about to attempt at saying something to his young apprentice, but when he began to speak first, his posture had frozen...and then slowly his shoulders rolled back down, his shoulders relaxing slowly as they continued to speak, seemingly unbothered by his lack of response.
He smiled, his tail tapping the tom lightly on the flank, a gesture to walk as they spoke, nodding at the conversation the tom already filled in without prompt.
