Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The pool below her rippled, and her eyes shifted in her reflection. Staring right back at her was her. Yet, the cat gazing at her from the pool did not match her movements. Confused, she tilted her head to the side. The cat gazing at her did not do this, instead, she smiled. It seemed as if this cat were trying to speak, her mouth was moving. Yet, no sound came out. "I can't hear you.. what are you saying?" Again, the cat's mouth continued to move, but there were no audible words. Confusion overcame her as she kept talking to the pool, then a wind came. Rushing around her and rippling the pool once more. Shaking her head, but then... the pool was her reflection again. Following each move she made, and this mysterious cat who tried to speak to her was gone. Yet... it was her, was it not?
Meadoweyes blinked a few times. Sunlight filtered into the den, the rays warm and inviting. Her eyes seemed a bit fuzzy at first, and it took the medicine cat a moment to come to from her dream. Right. It was just a dream... She found herself sighing. It was the fourth time she had this dream, and she never got any further with it. She never could hear what her reflection was speaking to her saying. It was frustrating, and often stayed on her mind that remainder of the day. Yet, she had shared this with no other cat. After all, they would be just as confused as she, wouldn't they?
Meadoweyes sat up in her mossy nest, and began quickly running her tongue over her furs for a clean. Though, her mind was a bit absent, she tried to take comfort in the familiar scent of the den.
Inside the camp, Breezestep was assigning patrols, her tone brisk and professional. Turtlepaw and Shatteredshine were heading out to hunt; Luckywillow, Grumpysparrow, and Ghostcrown were checking the borders; Roo and Mothpaw were going to practice their battle skills; and so on. Satisfied with the assignments for the morning, the grey-and-white she-cat slipped into the medicine cat’s den and blinked at Meadoweyes.
“Good morning,” the deputy greeted. Breezestep’s eyes crinkled with warm, but despite the early hour she still looked tired. “Do you have any plans for the day, or need a warrior to help you with your duties?” If she could tell Meadoweyes was dazed, she said nothing for now.
