The cold chilled his bones as Subaru ventured his way through the territory with Shina at his side. The two came to Fallclan from their past groups around the same time so they had grown to be close, but silent friends. It was only natural he preferred to have the large white tom with him on patrols instead of the noisy ones like Turkeyleg. However, today they had to go out with others and somehow they had gotten separated from the group. "Shina, am I blind or are they playing a trick on us? I can't even follow their scent trail in this weather." He grumbled as the wind beat against his whiskers, nearly plastering them to his face. Shina just responded with a grunt in agreement and squinted his eyes to try and spot them.
Not overly fond of the freezing temperatures, snow, and wind, Pinesnap had kept a steady pace in order to get the patrol over with sooner rather than later. The walls and shelter of the camp was much more appealing to her at the moment. Glancing around, she noticed that she had somehow lost the rest of her patrol. With a slight huff that simply disappeared into the blowing wind around her, she slowed her pace to hopefully find them.

The wind made Shina's eyes water as he combed over every bush and rock, hoping to catch sight of Pinesnap. He held up his tail for Subaru to halt as her scent suddenly hit his tongue. All he had to do now was remember the direction. "This way." He spoke to the warrior beside him and began to make his way in the direction he guessed the wind was heading in that moment. Subaru, not one to argue in annoying situations, simply followed. "Pinesnap!" He yelled, hoping she would be able to hear him.
It took several moments for Pinesnap to determine the direction in which she could swear she’d heard her name being called. She was pretty positive that it wasn’t the wind that was whipping her short fur in about every direction. “Here!” She called, following the path she was sure to be the right one to her traveling companions. She surely wouldn’t miss this weather at all once it passed.
