Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Eris had long since left for Nightclan, and the League was nothing but a simple, fleeting background thought. She had a kingdom now, she had all the live subjects she could ever ask for, infinite herbs and plants and prey — and she was expecting. Though she would never mingle amongst the nursery queens. Part of her was fearful of the fact, part of her was intrigued by the concept of having little living things growing like flowers in her, but she was mostly excited to meet them. And it felt strange to her, for she hardly gave other living things the time of day. Truthfully, there was only one cat she cared about, and it was Kier. Despite the sickness, the new softness to her, she was ecstatic, yet it was gentle.
Somethkng had drawn her to League territory once more. Nostalgia, perhaps, but she wasn’t one for that. Curiosity. Aimless wandering that had somehow landed her here. She wasn’t sure, but when the trees grew thicker, the pines receded and we’re replaced by large deciduous trees. For a moment, it didn’t click, and then it did. With a lift of her head, a prick of her ears, she stopped quickly and suddenly, staring around wearily. Then, almost immediately, she brushed it off, continued her way into their territory as if she owned them too. Perhaps she would stop by her old lab, or maybe the field she had buried that cat with Hywel (she was supposed to dig them up later, wasn’t she? After his stupid ceremony concluded). Compared to Nightclan, she found the League to be rather dirty, unworthy, full of degenerates and the like, and she loved feeling above them.
"You look too comfortable here." Narrowed eyes flickered from the shadows, a darkened growl bubbled in her chest. This cat, smelled like... Kier. Kate moved fluidly from the undergrowth, coming to stand in front of the cat. Recognition clicked in her brain, this cat was once a league cat just like Kier had been. It took her a moment, but finally, she remembered her name. "Eris, right?" Her lip twitched as she felt her ears grow hot. Does she know where Kier is? What is he up to? Is Harley with them?
Her growl bubbled down as she glanced the cat over again, her stubbed tail flicking behind her.
She startled, stopping in her tracks, looking around in an attempt to locate the voice. Her eyes watched the undergrowth shiver and tremble until a vaguely familiar shape was in front of her — though, Eris didn't know many cats. Though she had been a part of the League, she was never one of them, she'd always been in her lab, and the rare instances she could be found near the Mansion or the greenhouse or the marshes, she was alone.
Pushing her previous scare aside, she barked a laugh, "Comfortable? Here? Right — this place is a dump." She kicked at the dirt as if it would prove her point. Eris, right? She hesitated again. She didn't know this she-cat, not by face, not by name, and yet somehow she had her name, somehow she knew she was with Kier. She didn't deny her question.
"Why is that any of your business?" She stepped closer, attempting to chase away her unease, "what nobody do you happen to be?

She couldn't confirm that Kier had anything to do with Harley's disappearance, but she also couldn't shake the feeling that he did. As much as she thought the two had formed some type of bond not too long ago, she felt deeply that it was going to be severed permanently this time. Kate did not falter as the cat came closer, in fact, she could feel her chest slightly puff out. Unafraid of the cat before her, and ready to fight. "I happen to think that knowing where my brother is, would be my business." She paused, passing a glance over the cat's rounded belly. "I'd bet from your scent, those little creatures growing inside you, are his." Her eyes moved back to meet Eris' gaze, narrowed.
"I suppose I could simply follow your trail back, and find him. Or, you can just tell me."
"Brother. . ." it clicked suddenly, the pieces fit into place, and now she knew why Kate was familiar. Siblings. From the same devilspawn that had taken Kier's first life. For a moment, she looked down. Though she had been extremely loud about it in Nightclan — she wanted her subjects to know, of course, for her kits would be in charge of them too — she hardly spoke a word outside. Perhaps her frailness made it all the more obvious. She gave a dissatisfied hum.
"Well, Kier's sister," she spoke as if she didn't quite believe it, "following the path of your wretched mother? You can't scare us that easily," though the way she took a step back, the way her tail whisked to float by her side, showed otherwise.
Eris smiled again, "we're royalty now, dear, we've got no business for cats like you. Ta-ta!" She turned away, swift and exaggerated, her voice a sing-song note of arrogance and superiority. What was she thinking, coming to the League again just to waste her time.

A sudden growl rose in her throat at the mention of her egg-donner. She'd half a mind to swipe that smug look off that cat's face, her claws burned to deliver a blow. Yet, Kate was trying to keep her quick and fiery temper under control. She sucked in a breath, but caught the slight flutter of this cat's brave act, and that was enough. "I'm nothing like that crow."
The bob-tail cat shoved herself to her paws and bunched her muscles. With a quick shove she found herself leaping into the path of Eris, her bared teeth glimmering in the moonlight. Her lip was lifted, and her voice was low and threatening. Kate had bested Kier on multiple occasions, and she held no fear of her older brother. She'd rip him to shreds without a second thought, and felt she could do the same with this pathetic excuse of a mate he must have.
Eris also did not know who she was provoking, because Kate could quickly lose control of herself. Much like her father had once been, when young.
"I could easily maim you to the point of losing those demons inside you." Kate was so close to Eris, her breath hot on her face as she towered over the pregnant feline. "Tell me, Eris. Is my father with Kier?"
By now she realized that perhaps she should tread carefully, that maybe the satisfaction of a fight wasn’t worth her own risk, and it was all cemented the moment Kate stepped in front of her, teeth barred and angry. Eris shrunk slightly, but her voice didn’t waver. It was like a battle of wits, one side demanding she backed down, the other needing to show she was above this she-cat.
“Your father?” She broke out in laughter, and it was a squeaky sound, “oh, miss your daddy, don’t you? I’m sorry you’re a little too late,” she gave an exaggerated frown, lip puckering, “why do you think Kier left the moment he disappeared. Come on,” she reached out, gave Kate a rough pat on the cheek, “you’re a smart girl, figure it out.” The last line came out more as an irritable growl, sweet tone dissipating in an instant, like a switch had been flipped. Eris would have moved past her by now, but she wanted to see her face drop, the mind of her gears turn until she finally realized after so, foolishly long. So, she straightened out and craned her head back.

It was like a heavy weight. Kate felt her breath leave her as the she-cat's words connected with exactly what she was fearful may have happened. An eerie silence fell along the forest. Daddy? Kate couldn't keep the tears from swelling in her eyes, grief quickly overcoming her body. Harley had been everything to Kate, absolutely everything. It couldn't be true that he was gone, simply could not. Yet, she knew. Kate knew. Perhaps she even knew the moment it had happened, because her world had felt so much more empty.
Anger blinded her. The touch from Eris' had brought her out of her grief, or at least, her frozen state.
Without a warning Kate unsheathed her claws and smacked them across Eris' face as hard as she could. Her claws ripped flesh, narrowly missing the she-cat's eye. Calico fur flashed in the moonlight as she shoved her shoulder forward into Eris' chest. The impact would easily make Eris lose her footing, and possibly wind her as well.
Kate was out for blood, and it would be damn near impossible to stop her right now.
She looked insane, tears flooding her eyes and a terrifying growl splitting the night. She knew nothing, nothing except her father was gone. He was gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. Gone. The word echoed in her head, it was painful. Her skull pounded, her paws shook, her throat felt raw. She felt like she could hardly breathe.
The hurt, the grief, it was all Eris wanted to see in that moment, and yet there was still something familiar about it. She had felt that way once, briefly, before she pushed it out of her mind — and wasn't it ironic, how similar they were? She had been the Kate, the grieving daughter, the angry sister, when her own brother took his claws to their father, when they both died in the process. The only difference now was that Eris didn't let it control her. At least, she thought she didn't. For a moment, she could understand, and then the moment melted away.
She stumbled back, fumbling and tripping until she landed awkwardly on her hip, a strangled yelp escaping her as she turned onto her side. She panted from the lack of air, her already weak lungs working overtime at the shove. As she came to her senses, she pressed a shaky paw to her face, winced as it stung and pulled away stained with blood. It had gotten in her mouth. She clambered to her paws, backed away, stumbling.
"Are you insane?" She hissed, deflecting her fear. For herself, for her kits. For the first time in moons, she regretted saying anything at all. Still, she continued anyway, better judgement out the window, "I'm telling you now, hell spawn, you don't want to pick a fight with us — and you certainly don't want to be going around starting wars you can't finish."

Eris had not made a move to attack her back, and that would have been an interesting move for Kate had she been in her right mind. Her sharp eyes focused on Eris, her tears had mostly stopped. She'd managed to calm herself enough to give her a look that could kill. Kate stalked forward, each step laced with a word. "You're the one who is insane if you think I fear you, or my brother."
Kate snarled and slammed her own head into Eris', the pain of the headbutt was non-existent to her. She was sure, that if anything were to attack her back, she'd not feel it. Everything felt numb, yet full of pain all at once. Her chest was hurting, and her mind kept flashing back to Harley's prideful smile as he nuzzled Kate.
"Kier took my father away from me, and I'll make sure he suffers for it." If Kier was even capable of love, it would be for Rhiannon and Eris. He'd awakened something in Kate that she didn't know if she'd even silence again. It was her father's mentality. Something that had been buried deep within her. Now it was unleashed. "Starting with you."
Kate's wild eyes flashed to Eris' slightly protruding stomach, her lip curled.
"He's the one who started this war. I'm the one who will finish it."
She tripped backwards, and for a moment her vision blurred. She had enough sense to know she wasn't strong enough to fight back, she had always been the weak, sickly little runt, unmatched to anyone except, maybe, Kier. It was why she never got violent with those bigger than her, it was why she used her words. Eris didn't take the time to assess anything, to think things through, and before she knew it she whipped around, bounding into the undergrowth.
Perhaps it wasn't the smartest idea, to run through League territory trying to escape a League cat, but Kate had been blocking her exit to Nightclan, to Kier, to home, and the only thing on her mind was run, run, run, run — hide!
The consequences of her own pettiness, her cockiness. Kate wasn't the one starting a war, it was Eris, but when it all came crashing down, she wouldn't dare blame herself. Always, she was the poor, helpless little victim, the angel, not the instigator. Lungs still heaving, she scrambled over an old, withered log, before doing a double take, twirling around until she faced it's opening, shimmying into it, shoulders scrunched together. Her breathing didn't slow.

Kate followed. Her anger drove her to do this, she simply could have let Eris go. She could have let her run away and back to whatever place she had managed to crawl over the border from. Yet, Kate was not able to simply let her leave. No, Kate had other plans. Eris was not as smart as she thought she was, or perhaps the cat was simply in a panic. It was not hard for Kate to follow her scent, also easy for her to navigate through the territory. This was her home, after all.
Kate walked slowly, letting everything build up. Each step she took make her fur bristle, and she knew soon simply by the sound of Eris' erratic breathing, she'd found her. Kate slowed her walking, able to pinpoint exactly where Eris had managed to crawl into and hide. Her eyes narrowed, and the calico found herself stalking towards the opening from the side. Licking her lips, she launched herself to the mouth of the opening, unable to contain her devilish giggle. "Boo!"
After that, Kate reached her claw in, hooking it on the nearest piece of flesh she could, dragging her out of the log. "You're just like Kier, a coward who hides. Perfect for each other." Kate growled, teeth grinding together as she tugged on the cat, attempting to pull her from her hiding spot. "Are you scared?" Her bobbed tail wiggled behind her, a sadistic smile pulling along the curve of her lips.
For a moment there was quiet, only disturbed by the beating of her heart. Every rustle outside the log made her jump. But it was enough silence that Eris thought, for a moment, that she could escape mostly unharmed.
Boo! She startled, paws scrambling at the floor of the log and attempting to get footing. Kate had her claw wedged in the delicate flesh of her ears, pulling and tugging one way while Eris tried to get away the other. Eventually it gave way, creating a torn, jagged edge, but she had too much adrenaline to care, already frantically backing out the other end of the log. She didn’t answer with words because it was obvious she was scared. Of death. Of losing her kits. Of Kate.
Her throat felt like it was closing up, running long distances had never been good for her and usually left her wheezing and exhausted, but she set off again, less careful this time, more clumsy. She didn’t look to see where she was going, she was only running. Kate was right, as much as she didn’t want to admit it, she was a coward, she caused problems and she ran and she hates the consequences, and perhaps that was why she was so keen on ignoring them, on moving from one thing to the next.
The undergrowth was thickening now, tripping up her paws, slowing her down. She leapt to the nearest tree, struggling to pull herself up, but eventually she had managed to scrabble onto a low hanging, unstable branch. She couldn’t seem to get a breath in.

Kate followed. Her paws hard on the feline's heels, her own white paw stained with the blood from Eris' torn ear. As Eris leap at the trunk of a tree and began to scramble up, Kate hooked her claws into the truck and heaved herself upwards. One paw freed itself from the truck and swiped at Eris, only to narrowly miss her. A frustrated hiss escaped her lips as she dropped back down onto the earth with a light thud.
Eris was now safely above her, and Kate found herself pacing back and fourth, gazing upwards at where she was now safely stowed away. Her sharp green eyes holding a fire within them. "You're just like he is. A coward. Worthless and taking up space in this forest. It would be better off if you were dead." Her tongue was laced as she spoke, venom spilling with every word.
"You can't stay up there forever, little rat." She hissed, her bobbed tail flicking back and fourth.
Then she found herself turning and facing the tree once more, her claws slashing along the bark and leaving a gouge. Kate wished it were Eris she was hitting, even as one of her claws tore she hardly felt the pain. Everything was overshadowed with her raging emotion. A growl ripped from her throat,"You can tell your little mate that I won't stop. Not until I rip every hair from his flea infested coat. I'll make sure he loses everything he ever loved. Everything." It was a threat, no, a promise. His mate, his kits, everything. Kate would drain the life out of anything Kier ever held dear.
He'd royally screwed himself the moment he became responsible for Harley's death. He should have known Kate would snap, and be unforgiving. He should have knew she'd be coming for him. To underestimate her, was his worst mistake.
"You better watch your back. I'll be there when you least expect it, and I'll slit your throat in your sleep."
With her last words, she found her paws taking her back towards Primal Instincts camp, her heart heavy as she tried to slow her breathing. Eris was a battle for another time. She'd have to report back to Bermondsey, and then.. her older brother, Mal.
Her head was clouded, and she felt her steps faltering, Eris was the last thing on her mind now, despite her total savage come apart.
Still, even in the face of such a concrete danger, Eris hissed down at Kate, fur on end, tail stiffly hovering by her stomach, like it would protect them. In the moment, she didn't say a thing in retaliation, let the harsh words wash over as her adrenaline slowed and she could think at least a little clearly. It was obvious Kate was finished, that she was miraculously safe up here. There were times Eris was incredibly stupid, such as edging her on in the first place, and there were times she wasn't, such as now, when she refused to do so, even if she still, strangely, wanted to.
You better watch your back. I'll be there when you least expect it, and I'll slit your throat in your sleep. She only met her with a glare, but the words has taken root. As Kate walked away, Eris didn't move. It could have been minutes, maybe hours, she couldn't exactly tell, but she stayed still, muscles bunched, only the sound of her heart beating and the creaking of the branch. Then, eventually, it clicked she was alone, and she half jumped, half climbed down the tree, only making it halfway before she fell to the ground before, knocking the breath out of herself this time.
She didn't stop walking, head low and undignified, limping and rasping. She had never felt so weak before. Her mind had encased itself in a fog, her paws carried her home through the dark, and she didn't notice when the moon began to lower, when the black sky faded to a grey morning, when the dark forest of the League made way for the pines of Nightclan.
