Hello everyone. I'm your new Guider Superior with my cat, Aine Soothsong. I'm very excited and grateful for the position and I hope Aine and I can bring some fun to RR. But with a new cat comes a new family. While the family isn't new to RR (lore wise. least i don't think there's been a Soothsong family), i'd like to keep the family rather small. So this will mostly consist of Aine's immediate family and grandfather post mortem. I want to leave a lot of the details for character creation open to those that adopt them so I'll give you some names, appearances and maybe some ideas and let you all run wild. But still please read some of the family traits and try to use them with your characters.
-Soothsong has gone under the radar for a long time now. They're a bit on the secluded side and don't have any connections to main families. This could be attributed to their open mindedness towards outsiders and outside customs.
-The Members of the Soothsong family tend to lean towards Guider and Auxillery positions. There isn't any judgement or anything for going Mercenary or Scout. I'd just rather they be on the rarer side for lore.
-Aine is considered a kind of black sheep because she's very off the wall and eccentric. That isn't to say that none of the other family members cannot be, but it'd make more sense if it was more of a secret side to them. Or at least one they don't show to their parents very often.
-If you wanna change their appearance, they should all be color-points, majority of which should have blue eyes. Any color is fine as long as they are color points, including lynx, torbie and tortie points. The only exception to the color point rule is Gloria. Preferably also short haired.
-Feel free to apply the questions to any member of the family. They're just there to get you thinking. --General Questions: How do they feel about Aine and her antics? Aine also has a rather unique relationship with death, how do they feel about it? How do they treat outsiders or change, regardless of the opinions of the other family members? -Weylyn Soothsong: Penrose's father. Recently passed. Aine looked up to him a lot and tended to spend more time with him than the rest of her family. Not up for adoption. name means son of the wolf
-Penrose Soothsong: Weylyn’s son, Gloria's mate and the father of Aine, Gildas, Bricrie, Ula and Sheridan. Would he be the reason the family is rather strict? And if so, why? Or would he be the first to consider Aine a black sheep? Does he enforce this mindset or does he let it slide? How would he feel about his daughter becoming Guider Superior, potentially over him? -Gloria Soothsong: Penrose's mate and the mother of Aine, Gildas, Bricrie, Ula and Sheridan. What's her story? What brought her to RR? Or is she from another family? How does she feel about the family situation? Or is she the main reason for it? Does she try to have a relationship with her now adult children? What are her aspirations? -Gildas Soothsong: Adult age. The only other surviving kit in Aine's litter. Gender is up to the rper. Aine tries to have a good relationship with them. Do they reciprocate it? Or would they avoid her like the plague? How come? For either. [IMG] [RPED BY OPEN] name means serves god.
The following are all from Penrose and Gloria's second litter and are the younger siblings of Aine and Gildas. Probably two or three moons old. Maybe too young to understand the strifes of the family. Or are they?
