Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Crimsonrose frowned as she surveyed MoonClan territory as the first rays of the sun began to rise from below the horizon.
The loss of the janus camp had proven to be a serious loss. As it had contained a great deal of the clan's extra herbs. Already the clan had gone through a great deal of it's most desperately needed thanks to injuries sustained during the earthquake. Not to mention they were still a few moons out from when leafbare would end. And low prey supplies would lead to more illness.
If SunClan didn't act quickly, they would go from one of the strongest and mightiest clans to one of the weakest and fragile clans.
But they did have a unique opportunity before them.
Looking across the border her whiskers twitched, and amber eyes gleamed.
She had taken on a student from MoonClan briefly. A tom who had wandered too far off, and had been in need of guidance. And Crimsonrose had been happy to give it.
And in turn he had given her information that was useful.
Like how MoonClan had been divided into two separate distinctions.
A division that meant there wasn't complete unity in the clan, something they could take advantage of.
It wasn't for that reason that Crimsonrose had opted to slink into MoonClan territory. She wanted to see for herself how strong MoonClan could be. They were supposed to be SunClan's rivals. Their opposite.
But instead they had floundered in the dark and it made the crimson she cat displeased.
For how could SunClan grow beyond its abilities if it didn't have a worthy rival to push it?
She hoped that not only would this attack help her get what SunClan needed, but also perhaps give MoonClan the push for them to sort themselves out and rise up to be the rivals SunClan deserved.
She glanced back at the cats who had accompanied her, the few that she'd let slip her intent to and had expressed their agreement and eagerness. Taking from MoonClan was something SunClan was all too familiar of.
Crimsonrose hoped this would be the wake up call that would urge MoonClan to finally step it up.
"Let's go scope it out." She told them before slipping over the border and slipping into the territory.
Strongbelief glanced nervously between MoonClan territory and his own. "You know, like, I trust you, but what is Nightfury finds out about this? He... kind of scares me?" He didn't notice Crimsonrose had already left for a few long moments, but then realized and chased after her. "Well, do you get what I'm saying? He's kind of in charge, and he should really know about this."
Crimsonrose hummed. "I already floated the idea of attacking other clans by him, he refused. It's true we could approach our allies, but in doing so we will owe DayClan a debt. And with new leadership there... I would recommend approaching our allies from a position of strength than weakness."
And though Crimsonrose and Peachstar had no ill blood between them, Peachstar would understandably have a grudge with SunClan for imprisoning SpringClan during his time as leader. Crimsonrose would rather come to DayClan with a clan that wasn't in dire need. SunClan needed to be strong for her plans.
Plus she was thirsting for a good battle. Every day as she wormed her way deeper into SunClan she could see that desire and fury in their eyes.
Crimsonrose had learned about the Dominion from observing, and she knew SunClan hadn't gotten rid of them in a triumphant battle, but instead in the Dominion leaving after a smaller earthquake rocked SunClan (a warning perhaps of the big one that would devastate them so).
They had been denied their vengeance of their abusers, and perhaps it was low to aim their ire elsewhere, but Crimsonrose was happy to provide them with a target. Which would in turn satisfy her own lust for battle.
"We need to figure out the best route of attack." Crimsonrose murmured as they went. "To be able to go in, get what we need and fight our way out guarding what we've taken."
"Uh, sure, we'll do that. We'll certainly do that." He muttered. He couldn't believe this she-cat. He could hardly believe that his paw carried him with her. For all the stupidity, she did have an air of leadership around her. She had confidence. She had a plan. He had to respect that, even if he didn't agree with. Unlike Nightfury, at least she had something cohesive. "I know their territory is denser than a lot of clans once we get into the forest..." His voice trailed off as he saw a MoonClan cat emerge. She was perhaps mid-apprentice age. He could tell because she looked right at them. The she-cat's eyes grew huge, and then she jumped into a nearby tree's shadow and disappeared. Like, actually disappeared. Strongbelief's jaw dropped. "Uhh..."
Crimsonrose kept an ear angled towards Strongbelief half listening to what he said as they scoped out the territory. Mouth open as she scented the air, tensing up when she scented MoonClan- too late.
A young moonclan cat had spotted them, looking about mid apprentice age. Crimsonrose could immediately see the response of fear, and then quick as a flash she'd melted into shadows.
Attacking with sunlight would definitely have to be something they did for the proper attack, Crimsonrose noted, at least to avoid MoonClan cats doing that so easily.
But it lit a fire in Crimsonrose's veins the big she cat surging forward and moving towards the shadow the apprentice had disappeared into. Even if the apprentice had broken line of sight, for her to have spotted Crimsonrose and Strongbelief just then (and admittedly Crimsonrose had only scented the apprentice when she was right on top of them), that meant the wind wasn't in either of their favors.
Mouth open the ginger she cat breathed deeply advancing as she worked to trace the MoonClan she-cats scent. She kept her ears pricked forward focusing on scent and sound to tell her where the apprentice had gone and if pursuit was possible or futile.
Perhaps the darkness played tricks on their eyes, just as she intended. Ayala felt the cold rush around her as she jumped into the shadow, and the moments later appeared from a shadow within MoonClan camp. "SunClan... in... our... territory..." She panted. Maybe she left enough of a trail before she made the jump to confuse them long enough.
Ravenstar jumped to his paws and gave curt nod, rallying some warriors and heading for their border. ------------
"Err... ma'am, we're not going to find her. She just... vanished." He flicked his tail nervously. "Maybe we should find some answers and just get out of here? They'll probably outnumber us, and this leader is... temperamental. He might actually order his cats to kill us."
