Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

First of all, all the other admins and I would like to say a huge thank you to our predecessors. They worked tirelessly, some of them for years, to love and maintain this site. Many of them were admins during the move from wetpaint/wikifoundry to proboards, and they were responsible for not only physically creating but also nurturing back to stability the site we know and love now. We'll be eternally grateful for giving us this home. More than that, they've been wonderful friends to so many of us. Some of the other admins and I had a very happy-sad celebration with them counting down till midnight and as soon as they stepped down we were all hit by how much we'll miss them, their guidance, their fun, and their companionship. This is truly a bittersweet ending and beginning. Please go and make them feel loved as they move into the next chapter of their lives <3
Next, a thanks to all of you.
Thanks to you, the voters and voice of this site, we have assembled a team of kind, committed, creative, and democratic users. This is one of the only times in Classic’s history that all five administrators have been elected by ballot — and that’s thanks to you. We’ve taken our positions as representatives of Classic and of each of your individual voices to heart; without you, we wouldn’t have gotten the chance to help you make this site a happier and healthier home for us all.
I think I speak for the five of us when I say we are committed to fostering greater transparency, open decision making processes, warmth, friendship, and inclusivity in the running and creativity of Classic. A Classic for you, by you. Those are the conversations we’ll be having in the coming days and weeks and bringing back to you for consideration and input — doors wide open. I know I’ll be bringing to the table all the points I listed HERE, as well as a number of new ones I've compiled in the meantime or had brought to me by users, and each of the other admins is exactly the same. We’ve already each assembled - or are currently assembling - individual, authentic lists of what we’re most committed to and passionate about that I wouldn’t be surprised may end up with dot points running into the hundreds (right now it’s at four pages); we'll be going through them one by one to work towards assembling a rough timeline, plans to bring back to you, and bettering Classic for each and every one of us to make it an even more fun, inclusive home. I'm already loving the ideas I've seen proposed. Stay tuned for my reports!
WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?
The universe decided to be a rat bastard and coincide the start of our adminships with two of us, myself and achromatic, going on holiday for a week — so if we don't get to start planning ideas immediately, we'll get into it as soon as we're all back together. We'll also be doing things like divvying up and possibly reallocating duties among ourselves to better suit each of our skills; though that doesn't expressly concern you, I want there to be no insecurities about what might be happening in the background <3 You may also see tryouts for admin helper teams pop up here and there over the next week or so. Right now, things like the CPCC and LSAC will continue, organised by our lovely new Activity Manager uniqcrim — but those are the types of things that we'll be discussing as soon as we get the chance.
On the boring business side of my intro, as I said in my ideas doc, and which I've privately expanded upon since, I'll be pushing for monthly (or even bi-monthly) reports about what's been discussed by staff and admins, which all users will be able to share their ideas and thoughts on and put forward points they'd like to be raised in the next meeting period, for greater transparency; organising mod discussions to more closely mimic board meetings, for greater productivity and openness; and to introduce agendas so nothing can be sprung on anyone, and so they can be approved and revised before each meeting, for greater compassion. I'd also like leaders and deputies to be included in more discussions, and for RUs to have a greater voice. These are the sorts of suggestions I'll be bringing to our first admin discussion when we're all together again — but, obviously, being a democracy, it will be up for full debate and I welcome ideas <3 If you'd like to raise points with me or any of the other admins, I think we'd all welcome them.
So, for now, though there may be some initial silence until we're back together and can begin talks, other things, like OTM voting, the CPCC, the LSAC, and working towards the QCA, will continue as normal, as well as possible tryouts for Offsite, Entertainment and Layout teams working under Shadow, Simplylight and Achromatic. But while we are committed to providing stability, we're also committed to changes that may benefit Classic <3 So stay tuned!
INTRODUCTIONS
ABOUT ME
I currently study full time, pursuing a Major in History and Minor in Classics (aka Ancient History, with an emphasis on Greece and Rome), and I’ll be starting my second year at the end of February. It’s my hope to continue on to do Honours, focusing on the Spanish Conquest of Tenochtitlán and the Aztec Empire. I’m also a ballet teacher, instructing children ages 7 to 19. I began dancing classically at the age of 5, got my first pair of pointe shoes at 11, and stopped at 18; when I was 19, I returned as a ballet mistress. I love gardening, writing, drawing, history (obviously), musical theatre, horror, youtube gaming, werewolves and cryptids, vegan junk food, reality tv, my friends, dumb memes, cooking and baking (spend time with me and I'll have stress baked at least once), evil women, women, women, women, nature, and hiking — it’s my goal to hike and wild camp the West Highland Way in the near future, then the Cape Wrath Trail, and spend my life bagging all of Scotland’s Munros. I hiked Hadrian’s Wall across the breadth of England in 2018 and it was some of the best days of my life, dislocated ankle included. I’m a published children’s book author and hope to get my current completed project published so I can make writing my career; aside from that, something with the National Trust in Scotland or England has been a recent ambition.
I started reading Warriors when I was 9 and I’ve been in love with that world for almost 16 years; it’s my second home. As long as they keep getting written, I’ll keep going to the kids’ section. What else? Oh! Last year I fulfilled 12 year old me’s dream of being in a production of Les Misérables; it was the best few months of my life and I’ll never shut up about the two solos I got. Opening line of Turning? Two whole lines in At The End Of The Day? You’re in the presence of a star. I can also recite The Lion King from start to finish. And I’m Australian. So if you make one NAURRRR joke I’ll chop off your hand and cut out your tongue. Oh!!! And I have a ginger bengal called Cinnamon who’s been my best friend for 17 years. His half-brother died in 2020 and I miss him every day. I can and will send copious photos accompanied by screaming about how much I love him.

ABOUT MY ROLE
I'll be your new Communications Manager, which basically means:
- you'll be hearing from me the most in terms of monthly reports, and the odd vote or survey
- I'll be the one creating compliments threads, issuing warnings, and looking at reported posts
- I'll be the official go-between and mediator for RUs/deputies/leaders/mods and admins, though that doesn't mean you can't approach the other admins instead of me <3
- anything that gets discussed either between admins or between staff and admins, I'll be the one to compile it, bring it back to the main site, and present it (and, if the idea i suggested in my nomination doc goes through, i'll also be the one creating agendas and looking for feedback and points to be raised in the next period of meetings)
- traditionally, the CM has been the 'head admin' and leader of the five, but we might start to move away from that <3 - I'll be doing a poor job of filling Cleaver's shoes <3 You can take the knife away from my throat now Cleav

I kid. I’m Jace, your resident hellhound, all-time one-hundred-percent devoted husband to SpringClan 5ever u know how it is and your new offsite admin! Whaaat? I know, crazy, I still can’t believe it. Everything that Katie said up above is absolute facts and not just the awesome stuff about her life. Honestly, where can I get a life like that? I’ll pay, double. But this site wouldn’t be here without the magnificent users who worked tirelessly to get it to this point. Racer, Cleaver, Jadie, Faith, Honey, you guys are amazing and I love you all so much. Thank you for giving your time, energy, tears, blood, and sweat to this site to make it what it is today and to give us another chance after Wiki was deleted and many of us were sure our time with Classic was over. We owe a lot to you, all I can hope is that I repay that debt by giving all I can to this community and family to ensure it continues to travel down the positive path you all set it upon ♥
Alright. Time for the awkward part. Talking about myself. I don’t have any cool things to share with you that Katie did — again, totally in the market for anything exciting to happen to me, fate — but, what I can tell ya is this:
I’m 25 years old, I’ve been playing on Classic since 2014, and my life’s been a bit of an adventure, even if it’s a small one. I’ve gone through a bit of a self-discovery journey (a little like Sakurablossom right now in Spring) when it comes to my identity and how I saw myself fitting into the world. I’m still going through that journey, but thankfully I have a wonderful support system, not just in my IRL family, but my found family in every one of you guys on here.
I currently work at Starbucks as a lil barista (baristo? baristoot, I’m a baristoot), but that’s not my forever plan, lemme tell you what. I’m actually working on getting a degree in Criminal Justice and Cybersecurity, specifically with a focus in cybercrime. Yes, I totally want to be a Detective of Technological Crime. I will be a 21st century Sherlock Holmes. Thankfully, the corporation I’m connected to will give me a chance to get closer to that goal, and for that I’m grateful.
I am big time into high fantasy. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Narnia, Labyrinth, The Golden Compass. I am also big time into historical fantasy. Pride & Prejudice + Zombies, Crimson Peak, 300, Kingdom of Heaven. I also greatly get into Chinese dramas and donghuas, with my favorites being The Untamed and its spinoffs, Heaven Official’s Blessing, Scum Villain Self-Saving System, Devil Punisher, Rise of Phoenixes, and The Yin-Yang Master.
As for music, I mainly listen to hard rock and heavy metal, but on the flipside I enjoy classical and instrumental music just as much. Those are the genres I flip through regularly, I only listen to pop, alternative, and rnb on occasion, and country near never. The bands that I listen to the most are Chevelle, Tool, Disturbed, Skillet, Asking Alexandria, Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Marilyn Manson, Seether, Three Days Grace, Rage Against The Machine, Drowning Pool, Shinedown… The list continues. I listen to music near all the time, I’d listen to it on voice chat if I didn’t think it’d get me in trouble. Oops.
Another thing about me, I talk mainly in movie/TV show references and GIFs. I’m kinda notorious for being very introverted and a little socially awkward, so when I have a hard time finding the words in conversation, I often rely on GIFs to get me through or a movie reference I feel fits the situation and what I’m tryna get across. I’m a very sarcastic person who speaks with humor 70% of the time, but on the flipside I’m also a very caring person who empathizes very easily. I go into a conversation feeling as though we’re already friends, and sometimes that means I get hurt, but I don’t stop or flinch away because you never know when someone needs a hug and someone to say it’s okay, I’m here for you.
I’m super excited for the path that Classic is on and I look forward to our journey toward a much more light, positive, and family-atmosphere world for the lot of us to live in peacefully 💜 It may be a bumpy road ahead, but we’ll get through it together.
What can you see from me as OM? Well, expect more collaborations with the revamp site and main site. More advertising contests in collaboration with Simply, our EM; more layout contests in collaboration with Achromatic, our LM; more social media coverage and more encouragement to get involved in the revamp site and the social media accounts for Classic. There’s a lot of collaborative, team-wide and community-wide projects coming up and I know, as long as we do this together, we can do anything.

Hello everyone <3 I'm simplylight, as you can see in my username haha, but most people call me simply or shan. I am your new Entertainment Manager trained by the glorious Faith in the arts of being the life of the party. You can also find me in Fallclan as the Medicine Cat, but currently I have no other roles besides that one so I pretty much float around every clan! I would also like to start and thank my dear friends Cleaver, Faith, Jadie, Honeystorm, and Racer for their dedication and tireless work to improve Classic. I can only hope to be half of what they were in building up this beautiful site we roleplay on <3 I'm so grateful for their friendship and guidance over the years and will miss them greatly on the site.
Some info about me... I'm not really great at introducing myself without babbling on and on so please pardon me if this is super lengthy and has no real flow... I am 25 years old and have been a member of this site since 2009 with my first account, Venomflame and several additional accounts later until I landed on simplylight haha. I have taken a few activity breaks in between but never strayed far from the chats and the site in general. I've served as Commander of RR more times than I probably should have in the past and also lead Fallclan at one point. Back in 2016(?) I stepped into the role of Layout Manager alongside some awesome admins (including faith haha). It turned out to not be the place I really thrived in so I switched with another admin (whom I am forever grateful for) and took on the role of CM, which lasted until after the move to Proboards when I tossed it not-so-eloquently to Cleaver. <3 I've been a Helper Mod on and off, but the past two years I decided to take a break from leadership and just hung out as a user of Classic. I was actually really surprised and so honored to be nominated as an admin again, and even more astonished when I got voted in. I don't take your votes lightly, so please know I am going to do my very best to be someone you can always turn to when you need a friend or help <3
Other than my Classic life, I also have a personal one sometimes. I live in Texas but really want to move north one day because I love having an excuse to have my heater on all year (kidding haha). I am a Software Developer at one of the best companies in the world that you are probably so tired of hearing about. I've been very fortunate to have a relaxing work environment and job I love, especially when it comes to a company this size. My day to day job life actually takes place at home because we are all remote still and look to be that way for a while. Typically I do a lot of automated test writing and manual testing of code because I am on a project as an SDET (Software Developer of Test). I end up working with SQL, Java, and Javascript a lot more than I ever meant to but it is a super fun gig so I'm not complaining. My husband (Cam) and I also own a little coffee shop in our town. Outside of work, I love to read and play way too many video games. My favorite genres are High Fantasy and Murder Mystery, and honestly it is so hard to pick my favorite kinds of games. I would say that FPSes are not my thing, but I love playing them with friends LOL. My secret addiction is streaming games with my friends because when I was little my mom used to sit and watch me play while she knitted and now I crave that kind of attention (thanks mom). Right now I'm currently playing Hades, Banjo Kazooie, and Pokemon: Legend of Arceus. I'm currently reading Harry Potter because I've never read them before and a couple of other odd books that I get the itch to read and only get one chapter through haha. Uhhh, I also have 3 dogs (Aela, Pike, and Dandelion or Dandy for short) and 1 cat (Hiccup). They are wild and crazy but I love them so much. <3 I'm also working on a lot of outside projects like mentoring kiddos once a week in a coding club, building out a video game with some friends and also one solo project, and run audio and lights for several gigs. Anyways, you'll probably learn a lot about me because I blabber too much and am an open book truly. I tend to be an oversharer and joking kind of person. I deal with every emotion with poorly timed humor, so I am so sorry haha.
As EM, I have several ideas but the biggest thing I always want to be is involved with everyone on Classic and getting their input on ideas <3 I think more people are out to participate in the fun of contests if they feel like they've gotten to be a part of the building of it. There will be a lot of sign ups, polls, and ideas threads in the future so be looking out for those! Another thing you will see from me is more activity-inducing features on the site such as shout outs, activity-focused contests that you don't have to enter but just run automatically (like top roleplayer for the month for whoever gets the most counts in). I plan on revamping the shop stuff to possibly align with the seasons and build it out so there is more incentive to participate. I always want to keep things new, exciting, and fresh which means I will need a lot of help from you all to figure out what works and what doesn't <3 I'm so excited to start planning events with you!
Lastly, I would like you to know that you can always feel free to reach out to me with anything. Full disclosure, if you have an issue with someone else I will probably always give you the same advice which is to go talk to them personally and try to see where the hurt truly lies first, but I do not ever mind stepping in as an unbiased mediator if that simply is not possible. I would like everyone to feel able to approach me if they have an issue with something I have done without fearing that I won't listen to them or that I will get defensive. The best way for me to grow as an admin is to take criticism and feedback from my fellow staff and the people that make up this site seriously and fairly. ADMIN ROLES X
For my goals with being LM, I definitely want to start by updating and cleaning up a lot of the pages! I've already started on a new homepage layout so we'll be seeing that soon hopefully! I'm also picking up from a few other layout updates from Sen, and I'll be posting some layout request threads for leaders too when they need updates. I'll also be working with Shan to create a more functional interactive map for the site, and to gather the lore of classic and the distinction of territories onto a page for easier access, and to make things clearer for new joiners! My long term goals include possibly editing some of the site skin (very long term, I know, because I still don't know how to skin properly) and adding some accessibility guidelines/toggles to make the site easier for anyone with visual impairments and maybe making an easier-to-edit profile for our users to edit ♥
As an admin team, I want to really take a look at the moderator and admin system and figure out the best way to distribute the work so the staff feel supported and not burnt out by the work it takes to keep the site running, and I also want to help with the worldbuilding and making things easier to understand for everyone! I'll also be taking over the coding server, so if anyone wants to give suggestions to the site or to tutorials related to code and design, please let me know! I'd love to make code and design easier and more accessible for everyone! I'm not always the easiest person to chat with but I'm committed to being open and to having productive conversations about problems; I know I'll stumble but I hope you'll be patient with me and that if there are any issues, we can solve them together!

ABOUT ME ! Hello, my name is Audrey! I live mostly in the UK, sometimes in Hong Kong, and I'm always alive at the most unreasonable hours. I've been on Classic since 2014-ish, though technically my first account was in 2009 (I got temp banned because I tried to make my own clan as a kid, back in the good old days LOL) and you might know me as Saphirepool, yes misspelled, obliviate-, or as achromatic I've led a few clans in the days of yore, mostly WinterClan and SunClan, and I used to be OM and CM back in the wikifoundry days! I have a love for creating weird legends and lore, which you can probably tell from my characters, and I love writing morally grey, chaotic neutral characters. Apparently, the only ones I write are feral gals, chaotic twinks, and angsty man vibes but I will not comment on that LOL. I love complex plots and relationships and I just love coming up with ideas.
In real life, I never stop talking about my dog. Literally. Never. Her name is Crim short for Criminal and she's the love of my life. I have a tattoo of her. I work as a graphic designer full time (yay) and sometimes I code for fun. Other than that, I obsessively jump from one hyperfixation to the next! Currently, it's the new pokemon game, but previously, I love marvel movies and shows, murder mysteries, docuseries, the podcast radiolab, animal crossing, and food!!! I will always give you recipes for things hehe I'm a foodie by nature and a foodie by heart ♥
I also listen to a lot of indie music as per my art school stereotype and absolutely adore Phoebe Bridgers, alt-j, and EDEN, and will send you loads of songs and playlists of our characters. I also love musicals!
I also jump through hobbies a lot, from knitting to gardening to coding, I don't stick with things a lot which isn't always great but hey, being a jack of all trades master of none isn't too bad. I know way too many interesting facts about the most random things but I can't remember what I ate yesterday which results in me sending the same meme to my best friend at least 20 times because I forget I already sent it. I also have.....a really horrible....sense of humour.....I'm so sorry...... My current obsessions include scottish highland cows, my dog, my dog, my dog, Angelina Jolie, my dog, and Adaman from pokemon, pokemon, more pokemon, Matt Murdock, and making preserved fruits and meats like some farmer from the 1700s skfgflkjh

Hello everyone I am your new Activity Manager, I frequently go by Quinn, uni, or crim, but you're welcome to call me whatever you like. I am going to try and keep my intro short and sweet because I'm terrible at talking about myself. I love music, watching korean tv shows, eating barbecue chips, drinking coke, and relaxing in my free time. I like to play games casually and spend time with my closest friends. I am always prepared for the zombie apocalypse to break out at any given moment.
As an admin, I am dedicated to a fair and safe community for everyone to be a part of. I have a zero tolerance policy for harassment and bullying and I prioritize members mental health above all, my own included. I plan to keep the LSAC and CPCC for the time being as I think they are interesting and important tools, but are not the whole picture either. I believe my role as admin exists to help support other staff, leaders, and members in roleplays and to help fill in those gaps where we are struggling. All in all, activity is not a concern of mine so long as we are all having fun and enjoying the hobby we all gather here to enjoy. I am not here to be the activity police but to help uplift members and staff where I can. Occasionally I will take a week or so off for a mental health break and I will encourage others to do so when they are feeling burned out or just need to rest for a few days. I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism!
