With a hum of amusement, Catori lifted her paw, letting the lizard scramble away. Life on the Isle was so different, and the Bengal wasn’t sure what to make of it. She stood, deciding to travel down to the beach to explore.
He was usually a reclusive cat, only spending any personal time with his littermates if taking time to do such a thing in the first place. He wasn't open at all with other cats, and even as the son of a Pravian he never held much interest in the past to get to know his numerous aunts and uncles. Times changed, though. Stryker-kun was curious about what sorts of cats he could claim relation to, on top of a desire to see this new place the League would be calling home, and that curiosity was what drove him now to step onto the same stretch of beach Catori had decided to explore, calling out, "Is there anything interesting you've found so far?" more to attract his aunt's attention than for an actual answer.

Vera’s bloodline had grown so immensely — and rapidly — that Catori couldn’t possibly recall every cat she shared blood with. When she turned her attention to Stryker-chan, her eyes softened slightly, and she gave a shrug of utter indifference. “Clearly not; at least, not yet,” she responded, trying to keep her response as neutral as possible. “Have you found any special places yet?” she inquired, attempting to continue the conversation.
He gave a shake of his head. "I haven't had much time to explore yet," he said, though his words were not quite entirely true. He could probably find time if he wanted to, but for the most part he was fine without looking to deeply into what secrets their new territory held. Everyone else would end up finding it all eventually anyways.

“Not enough time on your paws, eh?” she questioned, narrowing her gaze. “Who’s your mentor?” Her tail twitched slightly as she spoke, a light sea breeze carrying her words toward him. The gentle crash of the lapping waves caught her attention, and her head turned to stare out over the water as she waited for his response.
"Rimanetta." Curiosity flashed in the tom's mismatched eyes at the narrowed expression Catori gave as she questioned him. "Is there an issue with me not having free time?" he asked, automatically following the hunter's gaze out over the water. He would think most of the League would expect a trainee's time to be filled with training. Or maybe she just suspected his half-lie.

Catori glanced back at him, smiling loftily. "Of course not," she responded, "just wondering who to watch for the future. Since my sister was demoted for the future, everyone is wondering who Vera E'tani will choose as her next Warden, and being a diligent mentor is a straight shot into her good graces."
