LOUHI'S THREAD [ set before they joined primal instinct ] @klee
(Louhi's sister is off on a quest and Louhi is being watched by a kind kittypet/loner that Ismene trusts enough to help bring them food. They are under strict orders to stay near the little burrow Ismene found for them. Louhi decides she is going to explore the nearby city while waiting for her mother. She gets into danger (you can decide what that is but here are my ideas : a twoleg finds her and thinks she's a stray and takes her home. Rouges find her and either they decide to kill the intruder or try to force her to join their group since they don't have many females. She almost gets hit by a car. I will help drive it forward rping the correct scenario. ) whatever you choose Ismene sweeps in and helps her at the last moment but is deeply hurt (her injury depends on your chosen scenario. )
Please tell me what scenario you want to go with when replying!
Satu and Eero waited at the edge of the little clearing for her, waiting for their mother to sweep them off. But Ismene knew her second daughter well and knew she needed to lay down the seriousness of the coming days to her. "You will stay at the den. Gouro will bring you prey twice a day and I don't care if he's late or if he doesn't show up at all. You will stay here until I return." Golden eyes stared down at her child fierce in their intensity, "You will be the only one here, I need you to protect our home." Hopefully by phrasing it differently her daughter would stay put, though she had a feeling it was a fools wish.
But there couldn't possibly too much trouble she could get into when Ismene was going to be gone only for 3 days. Surely she would entertain herself close by for at-least the first 2 days and there were wasn't too much trouble to be found nearby. Then Gouro had agreed to come fetch her and bring her to the city to meet up with them once more. Nodding to herself she affirmed her decision.
"Yeah, yeaahhhh. I hear you mom!" Louhi groaned with a roll of her eyes. Her mother never let her have any fun! Eero and Satu got to go on all the adventures while she was always stuck at home. She could not help but be annoyed by it. However, when her mother stated that she needed her daughter left behind to watch their home the annoyance lessened slightly and was replaced with a quick puff of her chest. "You can count on me!" She assured her mother.
Ismene paused and leveled a look at her daughter, doubtful and loving all the same. She knew she could delay no longer and taking a deep breath she nodded, "I love you and be careful. I shall see you in the city in a few days my little spitfire." She hummed reaching down to touch her nose to her daughters head before pulling away. Turning she swept her tail forward and strode off, her two kits falling into step behind her and finally leaving Louhi the only one behind.
"I love you too..." Louhi mumbled as she felt her mother's nose pressed against her forehead. She watched with a disappointed expression plastered on her face as her mother strode off with her siblings in toe. "Ughhhh, it isn't fun being the responsible one!" She groaned as she went back into their den.
-earlier that day-
The she-cat lounged around for a few hours. Consistently changing sleeping positions before eventually deciding she could no longer sleep. "Welllll... mom never said I could NOT patrol the surrounding area. How can I protect our home without patrolling?" She pointed out to herself with a sly grin. The she-cat rolled over and pushed herself to her paws as she cautiously poked her head out of the den. "Just a little look around won't hurt anyone." She insisted.
Gouro was on his way to Antigone's den, or as her kits called her Ismene. Though she had told him if he ever called her that she would pluck out his eyeballs. So naturally her name was Antigone and nothing else. In his jaws he carried a rather plump rabbit; hoping it was tide Louhi over for the rest of the day until the next day when he would bring her a meal around mid-morning.
He had been warned the tortoiseshell was a flight risk so he was half expecting her to be gone when he arrived. But she was only just stepping out of the den as he pushed into the clearing. He waved his tail in greeting and hoped Antigone had described how he looked so Louhi would know he was the one bringing her food.

Louhi's eyes widened as she made contact with the tom that her mother had told her about. Well, shoot. So much for my patrol. She thought bitterly to herself. She exited the den with a large smile slipping onto her muzzle. "Heya, Uncle Gouro!" She called out as she bounded towards him. Her tail waving with excitement behind her as she spotted the plump rabbit in his jaws. "OOhhhhh... is that for meeeee?" She asked.
Dropping the rabbit he nodded, perplexed, "... uncle?" he questioned. "And yes the rabbit is for you. Unless any of your siblings ended up staying behind then I suppose you'll have to share. Though I need this to last you until later tomorrow morning. I have things to do early so I won't be able to make it back early."
He glanced down towards her, trying to guage how much she was listening to him.

Louhi angled her head to peek around Gouro to see where he came from. Beyond Gouro was a city with large two-leg structures and several alley ways calling out for Louhi to explore them. "Sooo... what is it like to be able to explore the city all on your own? I bet it is so freeing!" Louhi said, completely disregarding Gouro's statement about the rabbit and making it last.
"I think you underestimate how much freedom you can get?" He replied a little perplexed by her. "There are some dangerous grounds of cats in the city and as a loner I have to be careful. I spend most of my time in woods; where it's safer." Pausing he squinted at the young cat; "there's a reason your mother put your den out here, where there is less of a danger to running into groups of cats."

"But Uncle Gouro! Danger lurks everywhere. I could even walk outside in the morning and get snatched up by a hawk! Don't you think that it's boring living on the edge all of the time? Why should we put our curiosity and need for adventure on hold just because of a little tiny bit of danger?" Louhi pointed out with a look of determination on her face. Now that she truly thought about it, how much danger was there truly outside the den? She had yet to see any dangerous cats looking around and she had been living in the city basically her entire life!
[ Would you like to do a thread for Irisblossom & Snapdragon? Or the kits? ]
"That's true but there's a difference between over cautious and simply taking precautions. For example if you know there is a hawk out your now going to walk out into the open." He raised a brow at her. "So if you know there are cats that would do you harm if they came across you then rationale would say you don't do and seek them out by venturing into their space." Shaking his head he decided it wasn't his job to counsel this kit.
"All that aside I need to be going now." Without waiting for her to make a response he turned and swept away calling over his shoulder "don't forget to eat your rabbit."

"I suppose you're right." Louhi mumbled with frustration. She watched as the tom dropped the rabbit off in front of her and announced his departure. Her emerald gaze watching until he eventually disappeared around a building. She carried the rabbit back into the den and ate a few mouthfuls of the meat, but her stomach was doing flips as she thought of everything she could be missing out on beyond the den. The daylight slowly changed to night as the she-cat tried to preoccupy herself with silly things like taking the rabbit's fur and incorporating it into her nest. Once the rabbit was stripped of it's fur she settled down in her bed. Louhi had racing thoughts of all the adventures she could have while she toss and turned in her new nest. "Welll... I mean how much danger is there really at night time? Everyone should be asleep, right?" Louhi stated outloud to herself with a sly smile. The she-cat slipped out of the den and looked from side to side. Seems Gouro won't be coming back tonight. She thought to herself before heading towards the alleyway that Gouro would come in at. She strolled through the city streets, her eyes wide with wonder as she saw the large buildings and the odd two-leg contraptions that littered the roads. "This is amazing!" She stated excitedly.
In contrast to the young ones words the city was actually just waking up. Ozymandias was in fact just moving for the day, lean black shape unwinding as he slipped down off the air conditioning unit. The tom turned his dark gaze towards the mangy shapes littering the alley below him. All it took to get them moving was a loud snort from the long legged tom and they were all scrambling to their feet and turning tired and wide gazes towards him. "Get moving, we need the chase off any stupid kittypets or loners that have wandered through during the day."
Louhi had no idea the dark den of depravity she had stepped into by entering the city.

Louhi bounded down each alleyway with an oversized smile on her face. Her green gaze following the new sights that was showing around her. She marveled at the different two-leg items and huge buildings. "I wonder what the two-legs do inside their dens?" She asked herself aloud. At this point Louhi had turned so many corners that there was no way she would be able to find her way back to her den, but she was too entranced and eager for adventure to notice the danger that she was getting herself into. She hoped onto a two-leg hotdog cart that had fresh dogs still sitting in water that was at this point cold. Louhi pawed at the hotdog, her head tilted curiously at the weird looking two-leg food.
Ozymandias listened to his scouts report of a young kit out running wild, and he frowned. He had always had a soft spot for kits but he couldn't have her out being a nuisance. If the twolegs decided to crack down on the stray cats his whole commune was doomed. "Deal with it." He sighed and flicked his tail before going back to grooming himself; wishing the kit all the best in his thoughts.
Nodding the golden tabby turned and hurried off, steps quick as he hurried back towards the place the kit was last spotted. He would have to chase her to an area less populate so the twolegs wouldn't try to rescue her. So upon seeing her he broke into a spring and quickly leaped up onto the cart and smacked her off it. Dwarfing her as he did it was easy to send her crumbling to the pavement. "Run." He spit a he jumped down after her.
