Hello everyone! All five of Classic’s administrators - Faith, Sen, Racer, Jadie, and Cleaver - are resigning from their positions. We’re beginning this transition now and will step down once our successors have been trained.

To choose the next batch of administrators, we are first allowing the site to nominate users; we will then confirm their interest in becoming an admin, allow the site to ask questions of the nominees, and set up a ranked choice vote. This thread is for voting.

Admin Successor Voting (you’re here!): January 20th - 24th

Moderators and administrators may not vote.

Voting will end January 24th.

Ranked Voting is a voting system that prevents spoilers (unpopular candidates who draw votes away from key candidates) and finds the most popular candidates for the position.

The voting is simple: you’ll rank each candidate in order based on how much you want them to have the position. The candidate you most want to win is given the ranking 1 - think of it as first place.

Counting the votes is where the difference comes in. The candidate with the lowest number of votes is eliminated at the end of each round; then, any user that had voted for their candidate will instead use their second choice. This continues until a victor has been found. This process has been automated to ensure speed and accuracy.
