Daedric decided now was as good as any to suck it up and realize he needed help. The dark bangle tom ground his teeth as he tried to make his way to the shamans den. He knew he would likely be seeing the mage, Xithymia-kun, because she was there when he got caught in the bear trap. The pressure on his leg made him wince and he tried very hard not to show his pain. Finally reaching the den he cleared his throat and glanced around. He didnt want to be found here by a brother that was for sure. Daedric had an image to uphold.

Unfortunately for him, fate would have it that he was going to be seen by a brother, one who had been put in a somewhat similar situation. Devante, of course, had managed to fair much worst than Daedric, though. Although he was regaining more and more function out of his back legs, the tom truly had gotten the short end of the stick in the fire. Or, er, the long end of the stick? The end of the stick heavy enough to break his spine? Hah. Either way, he had been in the shaman's den for his daily physical therapy with Xithymia-kun when his brother walked in.
The tom's ear twitched slightly, moderately uncomfortable at the idea that both of them were in the den at the same time. Of course, Devante himself no longer cared if people knew that he was unable to walk properly. After all, it had never been a big secret. It had rid him of his proxy position and forced him into temporary retirement- that wasn't something that even Vera could help him hide. However, he knew his brother felt a little differently about his own injury, so the sight of him made a rush of awkwardness pass over the tom.
Xithymia-kun, on the other hand, felt no such emotion. She frankly could not care less about who walked into her den when; she did not have time to consider how cats felt. She had a job to do. Now that she had been promoted in rank, her job had only gotten bigger. Her mother had a tendency of leaving most of the work to her, which meant that there was a part of her that was relieved, even, that Daedric had shown up at the same time. She could kill two birds with one stone, which would leave her more time later to focus on the task with the rodent that Vera herself had assigned her.
"Daedric," she meowed, her tone just as emotionless as it often was. The detached nature of the feline was almost sinister, partnered with the absent, bored look in her eyes. "What perfect timing you have. I should have thought of this myself. Come in."

Daedric realized once he entered the den that he was in the very situation he was trying to avoid. He knew he coudlnt ignore his brother so he turned his body completely towards the crippled Devante and dipped his head in a silent greeting. He shifted his weight onto his better back leg and turned back to Xithymia-kun as she addressed him.
"Ehem uh I wanted to check back in with you. My leg has healed as far as wounds go but I still cant put any weight on it. I don't think the bone set properly." He tried not to let his eyes shift to his brother. He knew he was playing off his injury to save face. He just hopped the young mage didn't call him out like she would normally.
"Maybe just some herbs for pain or something..." his voice trailed off and his pelt pricked with embarrassment.

Devante blinked his eyes as the tom offered him a nod. It was a strange greeting, but he wasn't particularly close to his brother, or any of his siblings really. It wasn't that he was an unpleasant cat or that he didn't want familial relationships, he was just young and one of mommy's favorites. At least, he was before the accident.
"You probably would prefer to see him alone, right? I can leave to give you two some privacy," he meowed to both of them in equal parts. He shifted his weight towards the entrance of the den, before he felt the mage's paw smack on his flesh.
"Did I dismiss you?" the snow-colored she-cat meowed, tone surprisingly cold for such a small creature. "I do not think that I did." She withdrew her paw from the tom's body, before shifting her attention to the tom. Her lips twitched slightly. "I find this of the upmost amusement, that not too long ago you tried to shoo me off to find someone who could actually help you," she meowed, before tilting her head.
"That aside, it seems that both of you have similar problems, though. Bones that didn't heal right. Daedric, you have two options, which is more than your brother has." She flicked an ear towards Devante. The two had already discussed that the only range of motion the tom would ever see would be based solely on his ability to work through physical therapy. "I can either re-break your bone and set it properly, or you can join your brother in some excersizes in hopes that that helps."

Daedric raised a brow in surprise at his cousins suggestion. The idea of her breaking his bone again seemed like a way of giving her bragging rights. He'd pass. "Uh I guess I"ll settle on exercises." His expression fell at the thought of it.
Finally giving into the idea he let out a huff of a breath. "Alright." he padded limply over to his brothers side and settled down next to him. He wasn't too much bigger but it was obvious he was the elder brother. "What do we have to do?" His dark daze shifted to Devante before refocusing on Xithymia-kun expectantly and ignored her comment about his original injury.

That was particularly easy, much easier than she had expected it would have been. After all, he had put up minimal complaint to the fact that she was putting him in a position of weakness, something the mage was absolutely sure he didn't like. How interesting.
She had little time to ponder this, though. They had work to do, work that she wasn't necessarily fully trained to do. This was unsurprising, though. Xithymia was almost completely self-taught. Maybe that was the reason that she was a little less than conventional in most of her methods.
"Stand, both of you. Equally balance on all four legs." Her voice was commanding, and her words came just after Daedric had resettled. This caused the left corner of her lip to twitch in amusement. "The first thing to do is to establish just how much or little use your leg has to start."
Devante let out a sigh, which warrented a glare from Xithymia-kun. He offered her a shrug in response; it wasn't his fault that they already knew just how much he could move. Still, he listened to the small cat; she was his only hope.
"This probably will be less than pleasant, as a general warning," he muttered to his brother, before doing just as the mage commanded.
