Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
There was a nervous stutter to his heart, his paws fidgeting as he waited for Sagebristle. It had been a while since they had gone on patrol together. Aspenstar had been getting more and more erratic, and frankly, Moonblight felt uncomfortable with all of it. Of course, that didn't show on his face as he went about his daily routine, but that didn't mean he liked being around camp much these days. In fact, he very much preferred to be on the outskirts of the territory, moving about on his own.
She had told him to meet him there, but frankly, he wasn't sure why. These days, he didn't feel like going on date nights much, but it seemed like both of them were on the same page, the changes in NightClan had made them both more wary than usual. When he heard her steps, he looked up, ears perking up.
"Hey," he greeted with a smile, almost immediately relaxing as he spotted her, "I was worried I was late."
Sagebristle was going through her own major crisis, based entirely off a growing suspicion that she refused to get checked by the medicine cat. If she heard the words spoken aloud, it would make the whole thing real, and that wasn't something she was ready to deal with yet. Not with Aspenstar losing her mind and Moonblight trying to process the reveal of his sister's presence in Summerclan. Couldn't life just give her one thing at a time?
The sight of him made her smile despite the circumstances, and she stepped forward to brush her cheek against his. "No worries. You're right on time. How are you feeling?" She asked, eyes scanning his features. "With... well, with everything?"

His eyes automatically closed as her cheek brushed against his, his own pelt brushing hers, as he gave her a lick on the top of her forehead affectionately. "Hey," he greeted with a smile. Out of everyone in NightClan, it was Sagebristle who knew him best. They had grown up together, thick as thieves even despite their clear antagonism towards each other back then, and when Larkspur disappeared...
A deep breath was released from his nose, as he gave her a weak shrug, his smile faltering for a brief second. "To be honest, I'm not so sure," he admitted with a chuckle, "there's a lot to think about, I guess, especially now with Aspenstar..."
His voice was hushed, so quiet anyone eavesdropping wouldn't be able to hear. He was worried for her, for the leader who had taken him in. She had changed so quickly, and now...frankly, he didn't trust her anymore. She was surely losing it. The tom shook his head. "How are you? I hope no one's been giving you a hard time."
"I've been fine," Sagebristle said, her ears flicking back with uncertainty. Certainly she had not been fine, with the worries for her quasi-mother figure and the worries about what might be growing inside her. "Let's not think it about it right now," she declared, rolling back her shoulders. "I've been thinking about nothing else for the past week. Let's take a break for today, go somewhere else."
The idea that had been half-baked in her mind for the last few days sprang to the surface. "Let's go to the Summerclan border and see if we can talk to Sunpaw. There's so much that needs to be said between you two... and I don't feel right, leaving the way we did. I need to see if things can be fixed- for your sake, too."

He knew her well enough to know the worry that creased her brow with uncertainty, but he also knew how much Sagebristle really hated admitting any sort of worry, so with a concerned look over once more, he left the topic alone. She was right, they rarely had time to do anything these days, and with everything happening, he missed just running around the forest with her. "Sounds good," he replied with a smile.
However, the next thing was...not what he wanted. Well, actually, he wanted it more than anything, but gods, it terrified him. He only thought back to that day with a certain shame, that he had nearly killed his own sister in his rage. The tom had beat himself up for it for days; it had even crept into his dreams.
"I..." he sounded uncertain, giving the she-cat a grimace, "I don't think she'd ever forgive me for that." He had been unable to forgive himself for it, why would Sunpaw be any different? He gave Sagebristle a wary look. "Did you organize a meeting?" he asked, squinting at her, "you know it's going to look like you're betraying NightClan if Aspenstar notices." He was making excuses now.
