Her fiery gaze observed the rocky outcrop of their new home, taking in the details. Kyra-chan was too young to have been sufficiently attached to their home at the ruins, but she was old enough to understand that there was some ambivalence regarding the league’s feelings over being on the Isle. The youngling narrowed her eyes, bored.

"Just going to sit there all day?" The drawling voice of Senescence pierced the air as she approached the youngling, her expression much a reflection of how the other cat felt. Bored. Indeed, this place was hardly interesting, the huntress found, and she truly wondered why anyone, let alone the League, would choose to settle in such a place. It was plentiful and secluded. Great for hiding out, but utterly useless when one was a wanderer by nature.
Well, she was bored, and misery just loved company, right? May as well make it her niece. One day, she'd figure out what Vera and Under had seen in each other. Or maybe not.

Kyra-chan’s amber optics shifted to focus on Senescence, defiance bright in their flaming depths. “Probably,” she simpered in response, her tail curling over her paws, “unless you have better ideas, I guess that’s all there is to do.” A slight shrug of her petite shoulders accompanied her clipped response.

"Depends on what you define as better. My definition tends to get cats killed." Cats who may or may not be from the League, depending on the situation. The huntress tilted her head slightly. "So, if you decide that's worth it, I'll just blame Under if you end up dead." She'd blame Vera's lineage too, but given her usual personality, it would rather be annoying if the Nemesis tried to execute her for the comment, assuming she didn't already attempt to murder her if she got one of her young kits killed.

“Bold of you to assume I can die,” she fired back, clearly unfazed by her aunt’s threat. The audacity of Kyra was both comical and admirable — it took a cat of great ignorance and indifference to mouth off to a cat like Senescence. However, the delivery of her response was more packaged in sarcasm rather than hostility, the intention of the phrase clearly for the purpose of dry humor. The youngling exhaled after that, glancing out over the new camp. “Do you like it here?”

In this, she was most definitely not talking about Vera's bloodline. The Nemesis had actually done a great job of getting her relatives, unborn kits, and even herself, killed. As for the following question of camp, the scarred feline glanced around with a look that didn't particularly seem impressed. "It's definitely one of the nicer places I've stayed, objectively speaking. However, that's not necessarily a good thing."
