Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Hello everyone! All five of Classic’s administrators - Faith, Sen, Racer, Jadie, and Cleaver - are resigning from their positions. We’re beginning this transition now and will step down once our successors have been trained.
To choose the next batch of administrators, we are first allowing the site to nominate users; we will then confirm their interest in becoming an admin, allow the site to ask questions of the nominees, and set up a ranked choice vote. This thread is for nominations.
Timeline:
Nominations + ask questions of nominees (see here): January 13th - 17th
Nominees answer questions: January 17th - 20th
Admin Successor Voting: January 20th - 24th
Nomination Rules:
All currently active registered users (see below for exceptions) may nominate two (2)] users. You can nominate yourself.
Nominations will end January 17th.
Current administrators and moderators cannot be nominated.
Moderators (ian, lavellan, woof, complacentdevil, pao, Jetclaw) cannot be nominated, nominate others, or vote, as there have been multiple breaches of confidentiality, and the guilty party/parties have refused to take responsibility.

Admin Positions:
This is a brief overview of the administrators’ jobs. You do not need to nominate for a certain position; nominated users will choose which jobs they are interested in.
- Site wide contests, challenges, events, and forum fun activities
- Site wide innovations to the website that supply an imaginative or creative atmosphere for Classic such as map making, additional fun edits to pages, etc. excluding innovations that land in other people’s territories.
Layout Admin
- Site themes and design, page layouts
- Bug fix layouts & site
- Coding guru server, coding nights, coding guides, and resources
Offsite Admin
- Manage the offsite team and encourage and advertise revamp contests and use of the revamp site
- Advertise Classic, Classic’s social media platforms, and making classic more accessible to new users
Nomination 1: Simplylight I think simply would make an excellent admin. She is a very fair person and easy person to talk to. I feel she has excellent communication skills which is something that is heavily required when it comes to being an admin. I believe with any admin team she would be the perfect person to balance out the group. She really seems to have the best interest for the site and seems to deeply care for it. I also do believe she has past experience as an admin.
Nomination 2: Dot Yes I’m nominating myself. I’ve had previous admin experiences on a larger warrior site similar to Classic for several years before Classic left wikifoundry. I will say I’ve always advocated to help make this site better every time I was a mod. Probably came off as a devil’s advocate at times but I always had the site’s best interest in mind. I would like to help keep this community positive and help it further flourish. I have college experience in coding, social media, advertising, and design. Also took a heavy interest in trying to keep WCC2’s history alive with the rest of the offsite team.
Nomination 1: Shadow Despite having been interested in adminship again for the past couple of months, as soon as this moment occurred... I wasn't sure. But there's one thing I'm absolutely certain of and one thing that, no matter how bad things get or how dark things become, has always remained true, even if there have been times I haven't wanted to admit to myself: Classic is my home. All I've ever wanted was to see Classic experience the light and joy that I've experienced on here myself. Those times have been few, but they've stuck with me over the years. This last year in SpringClan has proven to me that creating a sanctuary and a home online is possible. After having experienced that, all I want is for others to experience it, as well. The wonderful team that makes up this crew... they've done so much to make Classic a welcoming place, where you can feel free to be yourself and relax outside of the stresses of day to day life. I think... I can help that continue, and get stronger as we progress. I think I should be an administrator because, even if it's an idyllic daydream, I know Classic can become something like it once was. And I know I can help get it there. I've come up with so many ideas in the past to improve on sharper parts of Classic, at this point... it really is natural for me to come up with a million and one ideas on how to improve Classic, while maintaining the integral parts of it that are positive and home for so many of us.
Nomination 2: Uniqcrim Uniqcrim is a great administrator to have on your staff. On any website. I can't begin to tell you how many times, in the past, I've dragged them on some whacky adventure because I had an impulse to do something creative and, why wouldn't I bring them along for the ride? And despite all the obstacle courses we've trekked through, Uniqcrim has always managed to remain grounded, positive, and kept an objective eye to ensure that no matter what, whichever project it is, it's not only seen through to the end, but it's integrity is kept intact. They're passionate and I know they care for this site. I think Uniqcrim should be an administrator because they've already proven they can make a positive impact on this site before. I believe they can do it again. If they... are interested, of course.

Nomination 1: GidgetGal Honestly, there one of the few people that I can think of off the top of my head that deserves this position. When we were mods together Gidget made sure we felt heard and handled issues brought to her with an unbiased and open mind. She's thoughtful and I know she cares very much for this site and everyone on it.
Nomination 2: Stark Raving Mad Okay, I gotta say first off, that I've thought about the possibility of becoming an Admin one day, but with the reassurance that I thought I would likely not get the opportunity. I'm not excited to be nominating myself right now but never the less I'm grateful for the opportunity. Though I've never been an admin on Classic or any other major site I have committed myself to this site, and have never been able to stay away for very long. All I want is for Classic to thrive and I want to be one of the people to help it do just that. When I commit to something I give it everything I have and then some.
NOM 1: FOX Fox is a kind, genuine, and thoughtful member of Classic. Her posts are always eloquent and put together with a lot of effort. My interactions with her are always pleasant, positive and supportive. I think she has strong interpersonal skills and a strong vision for Classic's future.
NOM 2: ASHESTOASHES Ashes is a friendly and approachable member of Classic. I think she has strong leadership capabilities and admire the work she's put into leading Primal Instinct. I think that she is strong-minded and has the determined, resilient attitude and straightforward communication abilities that a future admin of this site will likely need.

Nomination 1 : tbd ; I truly believe that lavellan should be here and I can’t think of someone else so give me a while to think it over.
Nomination 2 : kuno Welp, everyone is doing it so why not? I have multiple years of administrator experience ranging from offsite, layout, and communications admin. I’ve always been dedicated to what is best for the site, even playing devils advocate many times. I take it seriously, but also realize that this is a cat roleplay website, and doesn’t need to be taken so seriously as to damage the mental health and outside lives of its members. While my activity may not be subpar, it’s something I can easily work on and improve if it means keeping something that has been a serious part of my life alive and well.
Both of my nominations are based on user activity, responsibility, and experience. Either of these lovely souls would be a great administrator if they’re interested!
nomination one: fox Fox is active, sweet, friendly, and an excellent and active roleplayer. She’s well-liked by many, articulate and invested in Classic, and a great deputy/to be leader of Nightclan. She’d fit naturally into an administrator team and I believe she’d put her heart and effort into improving the site.
nomination two: achromatic While I thought of Audrey instantly for layout manager, she’d be great in any role. Her coding experience, beautiful layouts, long time standing on Classic, and high activity levels make her an excellent candidate. She’s been active in several clans, knows many users on classic, and has a level head and a love for the site.
I did ask a question about the nomination process here and would love if an administrator could address it, but I didn’t want to clog this thread.

Nomination 1: uniqrim When thinking of potential admins, uniqrim was the first one that came to mind. They're level and open-minded. I have found so much joy in plotting with them and have seen their dedication through the years on this site. I'm keeping this short and sweet because I think Shadow said everything I wanted to say about uni. Really, they're an incredible user and would make a terrific admin during a tumultuous time.
Nomination 2: achromatic Yet another person I know would do a fantastic job leading this site in a time where it seems like everyone is strained. Audrey is, above all else, so kind. She has reached out to me when she didn't even know I was hurting and has always been one of those people you can count on for warm virtual hugs. You can count on her to be a friend to the little guys and to make everyone feel at peace and welcome. Her and uni both are just such patient and hardworking members of this site.

Okay this is going to be a very strange nomination but I just want to put in my two cents even though these nominations have already been put up by other users.
Nomination 1: Simplylight I am not nominating them because they nominated me, but because I believe they have a unique perspective to bring to the site. When I think of simply, I associate them with good characters, plots, and conversations. They have an approach that makes users feel welcomed and like they belong. They have been an RU for a while now and have experienced first hand what the RUs experience is. This is something we often forget about but is so incredibly important for a website like classic. The RU experience is why we are doing this, not to get caught up in politics and "he said she said." This ability to look at different perspectives and understand where everyone is coming from is so incredibly important, especially during times of unrest like right now. She would make an excellent and fair addition to the admin team. Nomination 2: Ashestoashes Responsive, friendly, and active. Ashes was one of the first to welcome me back into classic's community when I felt like there were so many cold shoulders at the time. We had more than one thread going and it was fun and made this site once again the fun and stress-relieving place it once was. She has done a fantastic job with PI and know their limits and when they can and cannot make more commitments. This is very valuable in a staff member as it is so easy to take one more than you can handle and burn out quickly. This is so important as I (personal opinion) believe that classic needs a strong foundation set in the near future where our staff is not burning out and everyone needs realistic boundaries, duties, and help.

There are so many nominations that I agree above on that I would have nominated myself. Seriously like uniqcrim, fox, sunlight, achromatic, shadow, stark, gidget...everyone above would make fine admin. Seriously proud of you guys 💞 With that being said I am nominating two folks who haven't been mentioned but I think would be great choices as well (if they even want a try at this.)
Nomination Format: Nomination 1: Shadowblade They are super active, social, kind, and I've known them for a good time. They have been wonderful as being a part of Primal Instinct staff and have proved to rise to the challenge. They make every plot fun with twists and turns. For admin I feel like they could handle the stresses that come with the position but are willing to work things out and negotiate with others. Be able to communicate and help bring new ideas to discussions that'll help the RU's.
Nomination 2: Biyuu I mean it's the great Biyuu....the one and only Biyuu! Okay in all seriousness Biyuu has shown to be funny but can handle things well when it's needed. They have been very kind and always has a thought or idea that helpes make the site a better place. May it be from leading a clan or having great dscussions from what I can tell they can handle most things that come their way. I have confidence that Biyuu would be an excellent choice.

Nomination 2: sunlight I think sunlight deserves this nomination because she really just has excellent ideas and is always looking to do better. She's one of the most active people I know, and she and woof have done such a wonderful job leading SummerClan so far I almost feel guilty for RPing more there than PI at times LOL. She's super innovative with ideas, such as the prey and herb meter that SummerClan installed, the random events concept and the clan health idea that allows medicine cats to really feel incorporated into the RP, and I think she'd come up with a lot of fun things that could make our RP more exciting. I also know she always speaks her mind even when it can be contrary, and I think being able to go against the flow when you think it's right can be a really good trait. She's passionate about Classic and I have faith that she can grow in this position.
okay circling back to nomination 1:
goldcrest I think goldcrest would be a lovely admin. She's super focused on the RP portion of the site and is super lovely and friendly, and is just a pleasure to RP with. I think she has an even head on her shoulders and would genuinely be focused on doing what she can to improve the site. Also, she's active and knows her own limits, and she's one of those people who listen first, and who's super open to ideas and suggestions. She's really approachable and chill, and I think she's the kind of person that can take in the bigger picture before making a decision, and I think the pros of having someone who looks at everything first is that they'll have a good understanding of what the site needs. I think that a trait such as being compromising, collaborating and level-headed is pretty important for an administrator, and I'm sure she'll pick up all the skills she needs as she goes along
NOMINATION 1: BIYUU Biyuu is a sweet, friendly, and approachable member with a sense of humour that calms me down on the worst of days and an admirably even-tempered attitude towards Classic that has been tuned and mellowed by years of working through the difficulties it’s faced. She has been a wonderful Admin in the past and proved herself when in the firing line of the overhaul drama. I feel she would make a crucial addition to any Admin team.
NOMINATION 2: GOLDCREST Gold is one of the single most kind, gentle, and fair people I’ve ever met. They’re endlessly creative, endlessly understanding, and endlessly compassionate. They take careful time to consider their next step and always take it with an open mind, a big heart, and the most infectious enthusiasm I’ve ever seen. There’s no one I would trust more than them. (And honestly, even if they decline the nomination, which they have every right to do so, I urge everyone to add the joy to their life that is having gold as a friend <3)
