The thick-furred kitten stamped a single paw down as she stared at her slumbering siblings. "Come on, you lazy pig-faces. Wake up!" She huffed, the growl in her voice matching the scowl on her face. While it may seem like an insult to most others, that kind of banter was common among the large siblings. Ironkit rolled her eyes as none of them budged. They could sleep through the howls of a thousand badgers. She just wanted someone to go explore the camp and attack bugs with her...
Soaringbird jolted awake, the silver gray tabby assigned to watch over her sisters adoptedkits while she was busy being leader of NightClan. She sighed and looked over to the kit that had yelled. “Must you shout like that?” She asked tiredly.
“What’s a pig?” Skykitasked popping up from beside her mother turning her head towards the shouting kitten. “And why are you calling us pig faces?”

"To wake these sleeping suckers up? I'd probably have to do more than shout." Ironkit snorted in response to Soaringbird before her gaze flicked to Skykit. "First, a pig is this really ugly-looking pink animal thing that wanders around in two-leg places." She meowed matter-of-factly then pointed with her tail to her siblings. "And, I was talking to these three."
Skykit wrinkled her nose her cloudy blind gaze looking vaguely in Ironkit’s General direction . “Eww, they don’t sound appealing.” She pushed herself to her paws. “Well since I’m upalready,do you wanna. play with me ironkit?” She asked stretchinga bit.

"They are pretty gross." She responded, crinkling up her nose, revealing more of her lower jaw in the process. Her underbite and rough personality made her seem a bit ferocious, but she was really friendly when you got down to it. "That would be great! I was thinking about stalking some bugs in the campgrounds, would you want to do that?"
Skykit's ears pricked and her clouded gaze brightened. "Sure! I'd love to! Let's go!" She said waving her tail as she bounced out of the nursery. "There might not be a lot of bugs with the cold weather though..." She realized slowing down... "Could stir up some dried leaves if we can't find any bugs."

Ironkit halted at the other kitten's words and stamped a paw. She didn't think about that... Cold weather, bleh. She had very mixed feelings about leaf-bare. Her thick coat made hot weather absolutely miserable at times, but the cold seemed to suck the fun away. The stocky she-kit let out a little 'hmph,' through her deformed snout. "Well, that just means we'll have an extra challenge! Shifting leaves is a good idea, by the way." Her greyish-green eyes turned on Skykit as she meowed the last part of her statement.
Skykit perked up at being told her suggestion was a good idea and she let out a purr bouncing outside. "I'll go see if I can find any leaves! They might be under some snow but I'm sure there's gotta be some around."
