Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Enchantedpaw awoke to the melody of birdsong and morning light filtering into the den. She blinked open her blue eyes, wiping the sleep from her eyes with a couple swipes of her paw. It was several days after she had arrived into the camp with Windchaser and she was just getting settled into the camp life. Today, she would start her training with her new mentor. She was so nervous, she felt sick to her stomach. She was not used to being responsible for an entire clan and didn’t have a feral bone in her body. How would she do on her first day of training? She stifled a yawn before stretching each leg in turn. She groomed back her soft, glossy fur to look presentable on her first day. When she felt she was ready, she made her way out of the den. Her stomach rumbled with hunger but after glancing at the measly prey pile, she decided against eating. Perhaps she would learn to hunt today and bring back enough prey for the whole clan.
She scanned the camp in search of the cat she had met yesterday for her training that would become her mentor. Finally spotting the familiar black and white tom, she approached him. “H-hi” she stammered. “I’m ready for my training to begin. What will we be doing first?” She hoped he would teach her to hunt first but Windchaser had told her that most apprentices start by getting to know the territory, that was the most important thing. It would be a disaster if a young apprentice wandered over the border into another clan’s territory to hunt. However, even though most mentors started training this way, it wasn’t uncommon for a mentor to start wherever they saw fit.
