Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It had been a long time since she'd seen anyone in this area. When she heard that there were cats in the territory again, Polaris knew she had to check it out. It was more a faint curiousity than anything else; was the Regime really back? What could have possibly brought them back here? They had once been her neighbors, a group she had no particular feelings about although she had once had a certain fondness for a Regime tom, but their paths had parted ways, both when the Regime had moved and then once again when the Monarchy fell and BrookClan scattered. It was almost amusing that once again, she was fated to come across them. Would this time be different? She just had to find out, so she dipped her way past the scent markings, hoping to find a Regime cat sooner rather than later.
"Havilah! Is that cat o'vr there an intruder?! Do we chase 'em or bite 'em or what're the rules?"
Havilah wanted to facepalm, but held his composure. This new recruit, Clover Cassidy, was really wearing on even single one of his short nerves.
"Commander Havilah. And no, not this time. Stand by for now. I'll take care of this and explain everything later."
Clover, the black-furred she-cat who had spoken earlier, looked a little crest-fallen. She'd wanted some action, dang it! But she knew her place and nodded solemnly, "Aight, Havilah. I'll standby."

"I understand that this may be confusing to our rogue and loner neighbors, but this territory has been reclaimed by the Renegade Regime. You cannot just come here anymore - the borders are marked for a reason," Havilah said as he approached Polaris, his tail sticking straight in the air in a show of upmost confidence. He was a rather intimating tom, tall and well-muscled with a critical case of RBF and intense, forest green eyes. He was also dead sexy, but that's beside the point, "I'll let you off with a warning this time. I'm Commander Havilah Eerie."
"And I'm Origin Clover Cassidy!" Clover called from the sidelines. Havilah fixed her with a glare and she lowered her head.
"I apologize for Clover - she's new. May I ask your name?"

You cannot just come here anymore . The feline fought the urge to chuckle; ah, yes, she had forgotten how fickle cats were about borders. It had never made sense to her, even when Kerrigan had repeatedly tried to instill some sort of clan mentality on her. It had never quite worked out for her adoptive mother; there was something about Polaris that would always be rogue at heart. She'd been born into a lawless no man's land; no matter how much she had been conditioned out of the cutthroat nonchalance. "Why, I didn't even notice! I'm so sorry to intrude," she meowed, letting a doeish look enter her gaze. She looked... innocent enough, a small white creature with large brown eyes that looked oh so helpless more often than not. This wasn't to say she was innocent or helpless; no Harlow truly was, blood related or not. But, a look of helplessness was often quite helpful- it lowered others' guard. Once lowered, it was easier to gain their trust. She really was her mother's daughter.
"My name is Polaris," she meowed with a dip of her head. "You must forgive my intrusion; I simply couldn't help myself. Back in the day, I was quite close to several Regime members. I wanted to know if they were still around, or if they weren't, how my new neighbors were."
A cat with a troublesome history with the Regime. He'd never seen her before and was willing to bet most of the cats who had followed him wouldn't recognize her either. After all, his highest ranking subordinates weren't even born or raised in the Regime, and the rest of them were kits or cats like Clover who just showed up and asked for a home. Was that what Polaris wanted? It seemed unlikely. He hadn't missed the sarcasm in her voice when she spoke of borders; although he couldn't be sure, he would bet the last thing she'd ever want to do was defend them.
"I'm afraid that it's very unlikely you'll find any of your friends here. The Regime had a schism and most of the older members ran off to the lands of Primal Instinct."
Havilah didn't outwardly forgive Polaris or give her an inch. It was pretty clear he was giving her the cold shoulder at this point; he wasn't getting any good vibes from her and wanted her to leave.

Origin Clover, on the other had, was barely able to sit still as she overheard the conversation of the "adults." She had so many questions to ask Polaris and was dying to take her back to headquarters and show off her darling kittens, it was what she would have done to just about any stranger back when she lived on the farm. But she was learning, slowly, that open friendliness didn't translate well in the wild. So, she stayed put, tail twitching every few minutes as she reigned herself in.
