Dappledglacier was honored that she had been chosen to mentor Wintrystar's son, Ghastlypaw. The only problem was she was heavily pregnant and due at any time. As such, she had requested her mate to assist in his training until she could recover and take over "Ghastlypaw, today we will begin with some basic sparring skills. As Wintrystar's son, there is little doubt that you will be expected to perform on the battlefield" she had brought Ghastlypaw and Emberbrand to a clearing close to camp to practice, so that she could be close by in case she went into labor "Today you will be the defender" she pointed to a stone sticking out from the snow "Your job will be to keep Emberbrand from touching that stone. Just remember this is sparring, so keep your claws sheathed and your teeth from breaking skin" Cleaveruniqcrim

He eyed his mentor who was practically bursting at the seams with kits and he felt a bit skeptical. How was she supposed to be training him when she could barely move herself? He knew the polite thing to do was keep his mouth shut so he did. At her instruction he turned to Emberbrand and gave him a curious once over. "No claws? How boring," He mumbled, flexing them in and out of their sheathe a few times before putting them away. No blood, no fun. At least that's what his friend Julius had told him. He was a strange cat. racerCleaver
