Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Rateye's health and energy were returning, little by little. Vulturemalice had, for the most part, given him the all-clear health-wise. It was mostly just the fatigue that he was fighting against now, after being stuck in a cramped den for so long without any stretching or physical activity. The only medicine for that was to just exercise more, which Rateye solved through early-morning jogs through the deep lands. His breath vapor danced in the air as he trotted along through the woods, dead leaves and foliage crunching beneath his feet. He didn't feel up to hunting again just yet, so it never occurred to him to pay any attention to the amount of noise he made. He was just happy to get some time outside before the Leafbare snowfalls came. (this thread is reserved for characters who haven't had a rp with Ratstar before ^-^)

It was the medicine cat apprentice who had appeared, fortunately, rather than a warrior or an apprentice trying to get in a morning hunt. It was no surprise that Sunpaw rose with, well...the sun. She had always been an early waker, enjoying the soft pastels of a morning sky even in the early winter. Unlike most SummerClan cats, her pelt was long enough to keep her warm in the early mornings when the dew clung to one's coat like a second skin, and with a trot to her step, she was humming quietly to herself as she carried the last leaves of watermint for the season, trying to stock up on the herbs as much as possible lest winter became a harsh one.
Spotting a cat in the distance, her tail was raised high, her bright hazel eyes shining as she trotted closer, a morning greeting on her lips when she realized who it was. "Good morning!" she greeted cheerfully, the herbs muffling her voice. She was glad the former leader was feeling plenty better now, enough to take a walk in the early rays. "Ratsta-" she started, before correcting herself with an uncertain look in her eyes, "uh, no I mean...Rat...eye?" What was she supposed to call him these days? "You look sooo much better now," she gushed, "I'm so glad you're feeling well enough...where are you heading?"
Hearing the sound of a friendly greeting, Rateye glanced in the direction of the voice, his gaze immediately turning fond as he recognized Vulturemalice's new apprentice. Waving his tail back at her, he changed direction and began to pad across the dirt and leaves towards her, letting out a chuckle at her confusion at his name. "I don' care much what ya call me, Sunpaw," he admitted with a laugh, "My recovery was partially thanks t' ya hard work, after all. I'm jus' out jogging 'round the Deep Lands; followin' the river's course 'til I reach the waterfall, an' then cut through the woods back t' camp. Ya wanna join me kiddo?"

Her wide hazel eyes seemed to look at the former leader with admiration and surprise. Join him? She suddenly felt a blush creep onto her cheeks at the compliment and the invitation; was it too bold of her to be invited along this way? Still, she did have to head over to the Deep Lands, just to check on the last of the herb stocks before winter took its hold.
"I'd love to," she replied with a sheepish smile. Rateye had that same twinkle in his eye as her other father figures had, and it was...comforting really, "I was going to check on some of the herb stashes along the way too."
As they trotted along, Sunpaw ran through the different conversations she could start in her head. "So what do you think of Sunstar? She's your daughter, right?" she blurted out, getting straight to the point to whatever gossip was fresh on her mind.
