"Perfectstorm, I assume you already know why I asked you to come today" she replied, looking up as her son entered into the main chamber of the High Priestess' den. The silver she-cat didn't look overly tense, as she made room for him to join her. He had recently come back to the clan with a litter of newborns out of the blue. They had been so young and frail, that her first job has been taking care of them instead of asking questions, but now that they had made it through the most critical period the time for answer had come
"I am not going to ask you who there mother is" she began, taking in a deep breath "but what I am going to ask you, is should I be getting SunClan ready to defend your choice of bringing them here?" Jadie
Perfectstorm knew that Littlestar's concern was well placed. The gathering established a new code that expressly forbid stealing kits meaning that, should anyone find out what Perfectstorm had done, he may just be opening SunClan up for a new war.
"You're not going to like my answer," He began, his voice low and terse. Perfectstorm wasn't a heartless cat by any means but he was always on his guard around Littlestar. The less she knew about him the more secure he felt, so this was really the last conversation he ever wanted to have with her, "But I don't know. Probably not, but maybe. It's not their mother you need to worry about."

their mother isn't the one you need to worry about
Then who? The silver she-cat let herself ponder over her son's words for a moment "So their mother knows that they are here and approves? Or is she dead?" She didn't want to pry into his personal life, but this decision was a big one. It could quite easily mean war for the entire clan if they were not careful in proceeding. She could have chastised him for his behavior, called him out for being reckless and thoughtless. But what good would it do? The kits were already here, and whatever damage had already been done. An apology wouldn't fix, and simply handing the kits back was not an option either. Not when they were her grand children, and the whole clan knew it.
"She is alive and knows they are here," But did she approve? Perfectstorm couldn't exactly answer that. She hadn't approved when he took them, but she seemed okay with it now... at least, okay enough to keep seeing him despite his wrongdoing, "I don't know how to answer your other question, though. It's not so simple."
He was still holding back, but he felt he'd already revealed too much. He'd promised Blindfaith that he would keep her name a secret from her old children until she was ready. She didn't want to deal with them right now, wanted to pretend that this didn't happen, and he'd do anything he could to make up for his errors. If he told Littlestar, however, the first cat she'd talk to is Blindfaith herself, which Perfectstorm was not going to allow to happen.
"Is there anything more you want of me?" Perfectstorm's tone was testy. His mother had pushed too hard.

Littlestar looked him over, clearly upset by her questions as simple as it had been. If their mother was alive she could return to claim them later on, but by then they would have been in SunClan for to long to make it easy "If you don't want to talk about it, I may be unable to help you" it wasn't judgment, only simply stating facts
"I am willing to fight for your kits, for you. I am going to take you at your word that the mother know where her kits are at. If she returns to claim them before they are apprentices, there will only be so much I am able to do. Both the SunClan code and the new code that was passed by the clans is clear. Kits should be with their mother" she closed her eyes for a moment, before letting out a little sigh "Hopefully it will not come down to a war. Is there any thing else that I should know?"
"What's done is done, Littlestar. Even if I give you more information, but it won't change anything."
It was true - even if Perfectstorm revealed every single detail about his kits' origins, it wouldn't change how Littlestar would have to act if it was revealed. It would be war either way, he knew how Shule worked. Thus, it was his opinion that the best course of action was keeping it a secret, because a secret is only a secret until you tell one other person.
"All I can do for you is repeat what I've said so far: Their mother is alive and knows where they are. I don't believe she will take action against SunClan, but there are cats who, should they learn their origins, might. Can I go now?"
