A chuckle escaped him, "No not the fish, Fallclan. Do you realize where we are?" He asked, flicking his ears. "I had to come through here to get home. I came from the other side, but I remember everything this patch of land has to offer." He purred, looking over her and then again out into the lightly snow dusted forest floor. It was so much warmer looking than their home, even in the middle of leaf-bare.
Shock flashed across her features. How could she of missed them crossing the border? Perhaps because the scent lines had not been remarked in so long. She swept her gaze about, just now noticing how warm she felt in her thick furs. “Where have they gone...?” It was then that she began to wonder if the cats knew the whole time the clan had disappeared. “Why has no one attempted to find them?” Had Icedivy been so distracted with other dirties that she had not heard the cats coming back from the gathering whispering about the clan having been gone? “Why has no one attempted to find them?” Her heart ached. What if something happened to WinterClan and no one cared to help them? Wasn’t it the same? The laughter the two shared was suddenly gone, obvious that Icedivy was suddenly distressed. “I wonder... if they’re okay...”

He frowned, realizing her change in mood. He didnt think she would be one to care so much about cats she had yet to meet or know, but he understood how she felt. He swallowed hard and got closer to her, pressing his temple against her cheek, leaning into her so that his pelt brushed into hers. "Theyre fine..." He sighed, "We dont know where they are, I hadnt seen any of them in the two-leg place across their territory either. No one wants to claim responsibility for going to get them, but theyll return." He assured, not wholly knowing himself. He hoped he hadnt worried her too much, and shuffled his paws as he stood there, before finally backing off her a bit, his ears flicking as he gave her a small smile.
The sudden closeness that was shared between the two was enough to distract her. Selfishly, she forgot about FallClan for a few moments. Her eyes turned to look at the tom before he then moved away from her side. Her body was suddenly on fire, her cheeks hot with blush underneath her furs. Suddenly she snapped herself back to reality, the situation holding much weight. “I suppose... let’s just keep going.” Icedivy straightened herself, then began to walk once more, but at a slow pace that way Sweetpine could continue to lead the way and easily surpass her. Her thoughts were now upon the jar, the prickly feeling much like a hot lightning rushing through her veins had lingered.
The closeness felt... unexplainable. What did it mean? He is a jarl. You’re a frozen. You have a duty, nothing more. Her father’s words now echoed in her mind. ”You must never fall for another cat. Love is poison, love is unkind. Love is dangerous. Keep your mind on nothing but your duties, Icedpaw. It could cost you your life.”

Sweetpine nodded, feeling still that something was amiss, but he brushed it off easily. "Here, its this way," he mewed, a smile returning to his muzzle as he walked beside her, "They actually have a waterfall around here, but it doesnt have any fish in it, its too small of a scratch in the earth to hold water for a long time. Instead it drains into a small pond." His ears pricked as they walked, keeping at attention as he listened for the sound of bubbling water.
She shoved away the thoughts that plagued her mind. Instead, focusing on their previous conversations. “Do you know how to swim?” It was a question that she assumed came along with fishing, right? Though she herself was terrified of water, so obviously could not swim. Nor did she ever plan to attempt at doing such a thing. It was a scary thought, and hoped that she wouldn’t have to attempt in learning if he were to teach her to fish.

"I can," he mewed, a bit too proud of it. "I learned before I came to Winterclan, but I dont need to swim to fish," he explained, "You just have to know how to stand still." He gave a chuckle, and then paused, his ears flicking forwards, "Come on, this way," he purred, taking off from her towards a log atop a mound of earth. He jumped off the log, running down the small cliff that led to a bubbling stream and a pond, leaves and small sprouts of tall grasses littering the shoreline.
She was finally relived when he spoke that it was not required to fish. A tiny sigh of relief, before he was chuckling and starting off. Her brows raised, and finally she took off after Sweetpine, her long legs carrying her quickly after the tom. Icedivy have a small laugh, catching up to him and bumping into his side a bit.

He chuckled, stumbling a bit as she bumped into him, thrown off guard. He playfully pushed back with his side, and then butted his head against her shoulder, laughing at the situation. "Lets go," he purred, trotting down towards the shore.
A small purr pushed past her lips, her heart feeling lighter as she momentarily forgot about FallClan. The she-cat bounded after him, a smile laced along her lips as she did so. For the moment she felt care-free and full of life. Currently away from the dramas of the clan and unworried about the future. She would live in the now, and think about later another time. Icedivy was always so focused on duties, she had forgotten what fun was.

Grinning the brown tom stepped into the water, letting it ripple around his elbows. He curled his tail up so it didnt get wet, and looked back at her with a cheeky grin. "You can cone this deep if you want, but there are some stones that rise above the water here," he called, pulling a paw out if the pond to point at the grey stones breaking the surface of the water.
Icedivy watched as the tom gingerly and carefully let himself into the water, then invited her to join. Her ears flicked uneasily, and she wondered just how cold the water might be. What happened if she fell in? Icedivy breathes in, trying to let go of the silly fears. The water didn’t look that deep anyways. There shouldn’t be any way to drown, not in such shallow water anyways. She slowly took one step, the water was freezing! Her paw jerked back, eyes wide with shock that he had transitioned to the water so easily. “It’s like ice..! Only.. wet!”

He laughed watching her try to get in. "Really, you don't have to, you can follow along on the stepping stones." He mewed, a grin on his face, "If you really want to get in though, I would suggest jumping in." And with all the agile clumsiness someone could have when trying to run in water, he took a few quick bounds, laughing the whole way, and then leapt, causing a spray of water to come up as he dove in, far enough to cover the tips of his ears.
His laughter made her face burn with embarrassment. However, she took his advice and moved to the stepping stones quickly. She was walking along them when he suddenly jumped into the water, splashing her and making the stones slippery. Next thing she knew she was in the water, and splashing frantically. It truthfully wasn’t that deep, one would hardly have to paddle to stay afloat. Icedivy was definitely over reacting, but fear surged through her to the point that she was not thinking clearly.

He quickly paddled over to her, biting roughly onto her scruff as he lifted her up. It wasnt enough to get her on her feet, but at least her head was above the surface. For a second he had been worried, but he was quick on his feet and in the water, with no intent to endanger his frozen. The jarl pulled her back, towards rhe shallows where she could stand in the water, unclenching his jaws off of her neck, "You okay?"
Oh. How embarrassing. She coughed a few times, but she hadn’t been astray long enough to get any water in her lungs, but it did burn her throat. “Oh the gods. It’s cold.” She shook her furs, and quickly set to licking them, in hopes to get herself warm. Her limbs were shivering, and her eyes shifted to look up to him. “I guess I’m c-clumsy.” Despite feeling cold, she definitely felt as if her face was on fire.

He chuckled a bit, "It is leafbare after all." Moving a little bit aways from her he shook himself out, as if he were a dog, his fur fluffed up in wet points like a hedgehog. His undercoat was soft, not the thickest, but it was warm enough, and for once he was glad something passed down from his fathers line. He moved back towards her, the side of his body flush with hers as he leaned his head down to her, "Let me help," he mewed, something between a whisper and a purr, licking the top of her forehead, "Cant have one of my guards getting sick."
The shivering feline almost jumped out of her skin at his sudden closeness. Slowly however, she relaxed. As Sweetpine began to run his tongue across her forehead she felt herself almost melt into his furs. She could not resist burying her nose into his chest. It was a picture perfect moment, despite her feeling as if she were freezing to death.

He bent his neck down to lick at the fur between her shoulderblades, where even a cat couldnt reach themselves. As he felt her press into him he paused, mumbling into her fur, "Youre gonna get wet again," he warned, his own pelt still drip drying after his jump in the pond. He just didnt mind the chill.
Icedivy didn’t care. Not right now. It felt too.. nice, to be in a moment like this. Her heart was warm despite her body feeling cold. “I don’t care.” She mumbled into his furs as she closed her eyes and let herself take in the moment. They would have to head back soon, to avoid being missed by the rest of the clan. She was sure there was some time-consuming job she would be assigned, or some raid, whatever Leatherstar could come up with. Icedivy was usually always busy.
