Dreamdust and Cougarmoss have been mates for many moons; their best friend (unnamed NPC) from another clan brought them these kits, explaining he couldn't look after them anymore, and the pair agreed to raise them. The day they brought them back, Dreamdust discovered that a few moons ago Cougarmoss had a moment of weakness and fathered Delicateheart's litter (HERE).

Cougarmoss spent his life chasing fame. Largely, he failed. He didn't mind at first, he had Dreamdust at his side, and he enjoyed their time together even when it didn't bring him a deputyship. But Delicateheart was tempting: the more time they spent together, the more she opened up, and in the end he found infamy because he cheated with her. Arrogant, unapologetic, yet for the first time in his long life, he knows he screwed up.

A quiet and reserved tom, Dreamdust had always been half-deaf, but in his old age, the rest of his hearing is receding as well. He doesn't mind; he can teach his kits how to communicate with him, and he has a lot of experience reading lips. He has always supported his mate's pursuit of fame but was never interested in the spotlight himself, though he still felt abandoned sometimes. He likes young kits better than any cat his own age and will often use his hearing as an excuse to ignore the chatter of warriors that he doesn't want to talk with.

Jaggedstone loves the forest. He loves being isolated, with only the trees and the wind to speak with him; he loves to shout out into the emptiness and hear no sound return. It's enticing, and he often wanders away from his clan's borders so he can be alone. An uninteresting conversationalist when it comes to small talk, but get to a topic he's excited about and Jaggedstone will not shut up, even if he sees the other cat no longer cares or deeply regrets their actions.

The oncoming storm is fierce and unapologetic and wastes no time; Stormingrage has a short temper and will do anything and everything she wants. She's devoted to helping others find the most fun they could possibly have, and is very vocal about her boredom during border (boredom) patrols. When she finds a cat she's in love with, she treats them like they are everything to her, and she selfishly wants them all to herself, and wants them to enjoy every inch of life the same way she does.

Rattledforest is a little romantic, he dreams of having a mate of his own, but he has thought about it seriously and decided that even if he was in love, he would never want to label anyone his mate: then he'd be possessing them, calling them his own, and if he loves a cat so much, he wants the whole world to share them. He likes to tell everyone he meets about this perspective on romance. Talkative, though he prefers to talk to cats who don't respond to him. A decent hunter and poor fighter.
