Honeylake - uniqcrim

A lean and haggard cream-and-eggshell tabby, Honeylake was a stubborn, bitter outsider for most of his life. His only friend was Shattersea, and he was the only friend he never needed; Shattersea was the only one who told him not to give up on his quiet apprentice, Southsun, and in the end he was right, and Southsun became like a son to him. Honeylake had many difficulties in his life -- hard break-ups; a fox attack robbed him of most of his tail; his mother's death; his sister fell into the wrong crowd and was tortured -- and by the end of them all, he realized the only reason he held on so long, the only reason he could face every day, was Shattersea. He loved the tom fiercer than anything, and after they became elders, the pair become mates. Honeylake is sharp-tongued and cruel, unafraid to point out the harshest realities of the world, and he would kill to protect his mate. He is somehow tolerable to deal with -- apparently some of his comments are actually funny? He was never popular before and doesn't know what to do about it.





Southsun - OPEN

He had a hard childhood, and by the time he was an apprentice, he was impossible to deal with -- withdrawn and desolate, always late, shrinking from every criticism -- and yet somehow, Honeylake managed, and his mentor drew him out of his shell. Southsun was a radiant warrior, affectionate and caring for all, especially wayward kittens; he dedicated his life to mentoring and helping others. Southsun never did start a family of his own, but he didn't mind. As an elder, he still likes to look after the youth of the clan, helping them clean nests and sort prey, even when his bones are feeling stiff. A tall orange and white tabby with partial blindness and deafness from his youth.





Shattersea - shadow

A tall, mostly-white warrior, Shattersea was once a blue-gray color but was afflicted with vitiligo. He was a very popular warrior throughout most of his life, graced with charm and a warm laugh; he could walk into the gathering, throw his paw over anyone's shoulders, and entice them into laughter with a witty self-deprecating joke, integrating himself into the conversation with ease. He was a good hunter and lived an easy life, blessed to have good friends to see his through the hard times. He had many opportunities to fall in love but he only ever loved one cat, his best friend Honeylake. For most of his life, Shattersea thought they were dating, but it wasn't until they were elders that he discovered Honeylake had only considered them friends; finally, they made it official. Friendly with a good sense of humor, even if he is of, at best, average intelligence.
