Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The barest hint of Wickedshriek's pawsteps echoed off the tunnel walls as he padded through the catacombs, on the lookout for another familiar face. "Yoohoo," he called out in a sardonic tone, "listen, I know someone's down here because there's always someone down here looking to get out of work. And I know that because that used to be me. So come on out, as loathe as I am to admit it I need help with something."
Well, she hadn't been looking for anyone, but it looked like someone found her. Joy. Winterpaw had been enjoying her time alone in catacombs, and found herself thoroughly annoyed that someone else barged in and started shouting. She kept quiet, and tucked herself inside one of the little nooks in the walls. With any luck, the cat would just go right by her.
Wickedshriek's eyes narrowed. Something wasn't right. He was sure there was someone in the catacombs with him, he could feel their presence like a...thing that had a presence. He narrowed his eyes even further. That thing he'd said about knowing cats came down here to hide was true--he'd used to do it as a hunter student, and knew a lot of the good hiding places as a result. But the younger generation, as loathe as he was to admit it, would always surpass the older generation in terms of creative ways to hide from their superiors. Blast them and their youthful defiance of authority.
"I said yoohoo," Wickedshriek yelled again, suddenly barging into a small gap in the wall created by a sharp corner. No one there. "...YOOHOO," he repeated, barging into a nearby alcove. Still no one. "........YOOHOO--AAAAGH!!!" This time he barged into a little nook in the wall; his pelt touched another pelt, and he emitted a girly scream.
She pushed herself further and further into that little wedge until she could go no further. She thought she alone could barely fit inside the little crevice, and then that voice got much louder and proved her wrong. She shrieked as well when the little bits of fur touched her as she sprung backwards instinctually, getting herself stuck in the process with just her tail sticking out behind her. "Err, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!"
Wickedshriek calmed his breathing as best as he could, trying to appear as professional as he could even after...whatever that was. "Looking for someone to lend me a paw," he said. "You see, I...Well. I may have yelled at a kit for throwing a moss ball at me and, uh, long story short he ran down into the catacombs. And now he's hiding from me and if I don't find him then I'm probably going to be...I don't know. Executed? The queens seemed very angry with me. Maybe they should've parented their kid a little better if they didn't want me to yell at him," he added under his breath.
While she had some symphathy for what the other tom was going through, she herself had just gotten herself into quite the predicament. She had no real leverage with her paws anymore, and was jammed into some crack in the walls. Only her tail was sticking out, and it was the only the that she was really able to move. "Here's the thing. I wanna help you, but you got me into a situation. She lashed her tail. "I'm stuck, and you need to pull me out. By my tail." Angry queens were a force to be reckoned with. Ravenstar probably couldn't stop his execution if he wanted to.
