Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Skeletalrose was spending time relaxing now that she was pregnant. Every day, the Seraph's stomach was larger, and it was now impossible to ignore her pregnancy. Rumors were confirmed a long time ago, but even those in denial could no longer pretend. Wintrystar was going to have some grandkits soon, it appeared. The marriage had seemingly been a success.
"Hungry, Skelly?" Rosemaryblight was a fellow Seraph, meaning she had no problem speaking colloquially to the first time Queen. She sat a young rabbit - half white, half brown - in front of her and made herself comfortable a few tail-lengths away, "I just got back from a hunting patrol, so it should still be warm."
It was considered good luck for pregnant queens to eat a rabbit mid-winter coat transition. It was thought that it would give the kits a smoother transition from life in the womb to life outside. Rosemaryblight was smart enough to know that wasn't exactly factual. Eating anything fresh when pregnant during leaf-bare aid the kits in survival. In other words, there wasn't anything special about this rabbit. But the silver-pointed she-cat liked to embrace old traditions when she could. She found the fascinating.
Cloudywinter, another first time mother, stepped up to the group before taking a seat with her own but of lunch. “Good afternoon.” Her kits were with their other mother, which left her with some free time to socialize. What better way than with other cats from string bloodlines. “Is this your catch, Rosemaryblight? A wonderful one at that.”
"Yes, it is. Put up quite a fight too. I'll need to visit Roseshade later to take a look at some scratches, but hey, it's par for the course," Rosemaryblight replied, twisting her right front paw over to reveal a few tiny, but bloody scratches. She'd probably be fine leaving them alone, but there was always a chance of infection, so it was better safe than sorry. She just didn't want to go get tended too before delivering the prey - it was still warm, after all, "You're welcome to have some too if you want, Auntie."
“Thank you, I appreciate, dear niece. But I’ll allow Skeletalrose her piece first.” The mother nudged the prey over towards the daughter right the sovereign, while turning her attention to her niece. “How is the weather? I heard it started snowing a bit ago? I do hope you weren’t caught out in that.” Cloudywinter adored a fresh snowfall, but knew how quickly here on the mountain that could turn into a blizzard and this always watched them form the safety of the camp entrance if she could. Weather on the mountain could be a bit unpredictable since it all depended on how it came across the mountain side on how it would descended upon the clan. A fascinating topic most days on what exactly the weather would do. More often than not, it was going to snow, but to what degree?

Skeletalrose gave a polite nod and a light "Thank you." to the pair as they chatted, taking a bite out of the fresh kill she'd been offered while listening to their small talk. Most definitely not her favorite form of socializing, but she could survive it well enough. "Can't have been too bad," She mused after swallowing. "this rabbit is indeed still warm." She purred in appreciation.
"It was beginning to snow, but it didn't impede my movement much. It actually made it easier to track my prey. I wouldn't want to be out there right now, though, it should have really accumulated by now," Rosemaryblight loathed hunting when the snow was belly deep because it tended to get packed into her long belly fur. It was a real pain to thaw it off and get cleaned up. She then turned her attention back to Skeletalrose, a friendly smile on her face, "I hope it's not too lean! All prey this time of year can't keep any fat on them, and that's the best part."
