Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
For the fifth time that morning, Carnagepanic paced toward the warrior's den. He had to do this, he had to try. It was important. It was right. Magnoliablush was the right cat to ask; she was Valleyrose's sister and he was pretty sure they were close. She'd know what to do. She would listen to him, right? Why wouldn't she? Why would she?
Don't stop. Stop stopping. Stop stop stop.
For the fifth time, Carnagepanic turned his paws away from the warrior's den. He sighed, resigned to his fate until he heard paws behind him and turned to see the she-cat herself.
"Mag-Magnoliablush!" he stammered. "I-I need to talk to you. If you're free. I have-- I have a very stupid question to ask you."
Oh, now it's a stupid question? I thought it was important? If it's a stupid question why are you even asking her, idiot?

Magnoliablush had finally finished grooming her pelt. It took a little less time now that she was missing her tail, but it made her pay even more attention to her pelt to cover up the scars. It used to upset her a lot, but now she had stopped worrying so much. Paintedcanyon still loved her and now she and Valleyrose didn't look exactly the same. At least she wasn't getting called the wrong name constantly.
She was just about to head out, when she hovered in the entrance to the warrior's den, watching her sister's mate pacing around. There wasn't really any getting around him so she just waited there until he realized she was standing there
"Well, sure. I was just about to head out and get some flowers. Want to come along? We can talk while we walk"
"Uh-- yeah, okay," Carnagepanic agreed, dipping his head. "I'll help carry some of them. For you. If you want." Stop talking.
He turned, keeping one eye on her at all times like he was afraid she'd disappear if he looked away for even an instant. "Where do you want to look? For flowers?"

"We can go out towards the NightClan border, there are usually some late bloomers there" she trotted ahead, looking back with a little smile "Coming?"
With that she took off with a little giggle, knowing that he would follow until they were out the of the maze and away from camp "So what is so important that you sought me out just to ask me a question? hmmmm?" she mused, glancing over at him playfully "Let me guess, you want some dirt on my sister? Well as kit she...."
"Coming," he agreed, swallowing hard. He followed her.
"Nonononono, I do not want to hear anything like that!" Carnagepanic exclaimed, his eyes going wide with horror. "If Valleyrose wanted me to know, she would tell me." She didn't pry into his shady past, so he wasn't going to try and find out hers!! "It--- I wasn't here for anything like that, I swear! Please don't tell her that's why I'm here..."

Magnoliablush giggled playfully "You know, I see what my sister sees in you now. You are kind of cute when you are flustered"
She pulled ahead, dancing over to a little patch of blue flowers that were blooming at the roots of one of the trees "Oh don't give me that look, or perhaps we should change your name to Carnageblush" she teased gently, her little nub of a tail twitching in amusement "You are not really my type, and I am perfectly happy with Paintedcanyon" she began to slowly clip off a few of the blooms for her arrangements "but if your not looking for dirt on my sister, why are you out here talking with me instead of her?"
"I'm-- I'm not--" Carnagepanic sputtered, predictably growing more flustered now, and deep red beneath his fur. Oh dear. He took a deep breath. Magnoliablush was not hitting on him, she was just naming him after her, but that probably wasn't intentional, unless it was, and then what was he going to tell Valleyrose, oh-- another deep breath. Don't get rattled.
Carnagepanic paced backward and kept his distance from her, staying a full cat-length away as she gathered flowers. He needed room to think.
"I'm glad you're happy with your mate. I am too," he mumbled awkwardly. "I um, I wanted to do something, but--- well, maybe it's stupid, and you know your sister, you'll know if it's a good idea, right?"

Magnoliablush giggled "What kind of something did you have in mind Hotcheeks?"
She placed the blooms down, as her eyes fluttered up to meet his "Don't worry, I won't hold back my opinion on if its stupid or not. My sister deserves only the best, so go ahead. What's your idea?"
Hotcheeks nearly decimated his focus again, and it took conscious effort not to turn and run the other way. "Thanks," he replied weakly. This was what he wanted, an honest opinion from another cat that knew Valleyrose well, so why was his mouth running dry?
"Well... I really like Valleyrose. She's--- she's so good at everything. And confident. And smart. And... I know there's normally, um, rules about this, but... well... I thought maybe if Littlestar wanted someone to help out temporarily... that maybe Valleyrose would make a really good Priestess Promised?" His voice was high and failing and he couldn't bear to look at her. "And um, if--- if that's something she would like, I would... ask Littlestar?"

Magnoliablush remained stone faced, as a few moments ticked by
"It think..." he tail swished from one side the other "If you spoke to Littlestar without her permission and found you, she would skin you and line her nest with your fur" she giggled lightly "Priestess Promised is not something my sister would ever seek out, even though she would be great at it. However..." she looked up with a more serious expression "What my sister doesn't know wouldn't hurt her. You wouldn't get any credit of course, but if you love her half as much as I think you do, that won't matter"
It was a terrible idea, wasn't it? He shouldn't be trying to make her do more work. She was a bust warrior already. Valleyrose would have told him if this was something she wanted. But she didn't. So why should he?
His heart sank at Magnoliablush's words; his head and tail hung low. Yeah. Yeah, she was going to skin him. What was he thinking? He was lucky she was here to talk him out of it. He was so dumb.
What my sister doesn't know wouldn't hurt her.
Carnagepanic looked up at her slowly, his face crumpling in confusion. "I-- what?" he croaked. "You-- you think I should? Are you sure?" Was he understanding her right?

"I think she would enjoy helping out her clan in a time of need" she replied with a wink "Being promised is not something she would ever seek out on her own or even dream of wanting, but if she were chosen for it... Well it might give her a little more confidence in her own abilities. So yeah, why not bring it up to Littlestar in private. Its not like you would be making the final decision. Just don't get caught, because if she finds out you did so even I won't be able to help you Hotcheeks"
"Okay. Okay," he breathed. She was right. It wasn't his choice, he wasn't doing anything wrong. It was Littlestar's choice in the end, he was just... bringing Valleyrose to her attention. "Okay!" He desperately hoped that he could keep a secret and that his mate wasn't going to leave him for this.
"I'll go ask her! Um, a-after we're done, of course." He had already taken two paces away when he remembered they were picking flowers and hurried back to Magnoliablush, though he did keep his distance.
