Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Well then why won't the twolegs do it for free?" Emiko spun around to peer at Tigerlily. "Plenty of medicine cats are willing to heal cats from other clans if they don't have the capability, even if there's nothing in return. Not all of us healers, of course, but quite a few."
"Um, well, I don't know, maybe they don't know a lot about cat health. Like we don't know a lot about hamster health right?" Tigerlily asked, looking between the two.
"I mean, maybe the guiders would, but I was a spy so I wouldn't know much," Kotori admitted with a shrug, "You have any hamster knowledge Emiko?"
"Then why have twolegs work on them at all, and not cats? Seems strange to me." Emiko mused. "No hamster knowledge, other than they're tasty and I'm pretty sure grandma Shule bribes Sen and Luc to get new hamsters for grandpa Sean sometimes."
"Psh," Kotori snickered a bit, "I'd love to see his face if I ever get the chance to tell him that's snow the 12th or something ridiculous. Did you know that's what drove Kyros insane? Dad friggin' replaced him with a duckling, decided the duck was the perfect kid. Raised him with Deal, pretty sure it drove the kid insane, at least that's what I heard. I always joked I'd do that to my kits, but you guys are alright," he joked.
"You could come back with us to tell him. I'm sure we could ruin his day together." Emiko offered easily. "More reasons he needed to die, then. Make way for the better duck son. You're not going to replace us with random pets though, right, dad?"
"never!" Kotori said quickly before pulling both his girls in, nuzzling each of their heads, "Nothing is worthy enough to replace both of you. Besides, I'm more of a bug kind of guy and no offense to them, but they're not really the cuddly pet type. But I know Tigerlily took on my interest in bugs."
Tigerlily nodded, "Yes, I still have that ant farm."
"Ohhh, is that why you refused to eat them and grow big and strong?" Emiko asked. "I always thought it was weird that bug meals were common. Not tasty either. I don't think I've ever really spent much time playing with bugs, I don't dislike them though, just never really delved into it before, I guess. I could be interested, I don't really know."
"well the regime did move to the cold lands so it's not like there were much bugs at that time. Now I still don't know where they are, but I guess when we go off to mentally disturb your grandpa about Snowy I'll know. But hey, first, how about a bite to eat, are you two hungry?"
"Well, Emiko's a Regime cat, she's always hungry," Tigerlily pointed out as a joke.
"I'm smaller too, so extra hungry!" Emiko agreed. "I always get the tiny prey because I'm tiny, but that ignores all the extra labor I have to do! And the fact that Havi refuses to feed me right now, but that's besides the point. Icicles don't taste very good, so I'd definitely like real food."
"Well we got plenty of real food that I've stored up," Kotori said motioning to the kitchen, "The flooring here always make it easy to clean up so the two-legs don't notice," he explained. Inside the kitchen were a few dead pigeons, but most of it was cooked chicken, cold now, and some other pieces of meat that smelled fantastic.
"Where do you get these?" Tigerlily asked.
"Out back," Kotori said, "just glad Emiko can get food she deserves."
Emiko hadn't even realized she was near drooling until she got nearer to the food, the smell hitting her nose. Without hesitation, she grabbed the nearest piece of meat, a piece that seemed a bit too big for a normal cat, let alone one of her size. Not that she minded as she immediately began to chow down like she was starving... which she kind of was. "Thanks!" The words were garbled from the food in her mouth, but she seemed happy enough.
Tigerlily delved in, but felt bad for her sister. Emiko could have just gone out and hunted her own food, but was determined to stay close to her son, she really was dedicated to her kits. Maybe she could be that way from afar too.
"It's pretty good," Tigerlily agreed, but moved aside to share with Kotori, after all she was a DayClan cat, she was well fed, "Hopefully Havilah starts giving you some food soon."
She practically inhaled the food, and in no time more than half of the piece she had was gone. "Oh, he probably won't. He's good at holding a grudge like that. But I'm sure I'll convince him eventually. It'll just take some time!" She didn't seem particularly worried, regardless. "Maybe I'll just go back to spending time with grandma Shule in the meantime. She had me in bootcamp, so she'll definitely feed me, even if Havi won't."
"Yeah, I wonder how disappointed she is in me leaving, I guess not surprised though. I don't know, it just felt like she was never going to unground me and I'm always going to be indebted to Renegade Regime, blah blah, blah. I guess you can just stand it better than me," Kotori supposed.
"I mean, grandma Shule is leading, you'll always be indebted to the Regime. But I'd bet you got out of Bootcamp before Dusky. I think she's letting Zak out finally too because of the pregnancy. You're her favorite anyway, that's why you're not dead!"
"She's my favorite too," Kotori smiled a bit shyly, "I just- I don't know, I felt like I didn't fit into the Regime ever. I still feel like I don't, I know if I could go back," He said rubbing a paw over his leg.
"That's how I felt too, really anywhere. But I found someone and things broke a part, not the same as you and mom, but things ended all the same. But I'm still in DayClan despite it all, maybe you should go back to the Regime. Emiko would like that I bet, right?"
"But if I see her I'll just want to stay and oh, I guess that just makes you want me to come with you more," He said thoughtfully with a bit of a groan, however his smile never faded. Wiping a paw across his face he reluctantly nodded, "Yeah alright, but you think my place is pretty great right? Like it's hard to think of leaving it for living under a rock."
"We could probably steal the coolest stuff for your nest." Emiko pointed out. "Between us three and whoever grandma Shule makes join us, we can probably get all the best stuff anyway. She'd probably like to mess with half of this to see how it works too." Though maybe after the explosions Shule would rethink messing with things she didn't know. Or maybe not.
"Yeah, we'll see," Kotori said thoughtfully. He did miss the company, but the room was always warm, there was easy prey to catch, it was nice. But he would admit he missed having someone who would look out for him. If he went missing no one would look for him because no one would know.
"Heh, I'll try and tempt him to come back too," Tigerlily promised her sister as she went back to the fire escape.
"So is the Regime far from the city?" Kotori asked beginning to follow.
