Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The footprints were gone, or perhaps they were never there to begin with. It was hard to know for sure. In either case, the sight of the freshly dug graves still brought tears to her eyes.
Littlebird laid down in front of them, her head resting lightly on her paws. She knew her deceased kits were happy and content, they would be waiting for her when she to one day passed. The Sun God had escorted them on himself. It made it a little easier to accept their deaths, but she felt like part of her had been burried that day. Each of the three taking a piece of her soul.
She still had two living kits who needed her, yet she found herself wondering here to be with dead.

"Do you think it wise to be so far from your young so soon?" Auricluster sat a few paces away on a boulder, his long thin pelt swaying with the slight breeze as he cast hos golden gaze across the burial grounds. It was a question of convenience. One he aught to ask out of some sense of care. Thought to him he knew it only because Littlebird was a promised.
She couldn't help but feel like her place of solace was being invaded, as the tom's voice reached her ears. She felt her pelt prickle as she lifted her head, and her golden eyes landed upon him.
Had it been a mere warrior, she would have sent them away but it was a Janus. Sure she could have sent him away just as easily, yet she didn't. She moved her gaze back to the graves, hoping against all odds the footprints would be there. Some sign that what she had saw had not been imagined.
"They are sleeping with Jetclaw, if they need me I'm sure she will send someone to get me" her voice dull and without energy. Honestly she should have been resting while they slept, but she couldn't get the image of the three kits who had passed out of her mind. How they had played and wiped away her tears... It was like a dream, but it had felt so real.

"Do excuse my intrusion in such matters." Auricluster meowed dipping his head, "But do you think your young among the ranks of the Sun god are mourning their un-lived life? Or perhaps feasting and dancing in his glorious light." The Janus looked up turning his face into the warm sun. "I am jealous of their comfort"
She smiled slightly, remembering how the kits had wiped away her tears and begged her not to cry. "I know they are happy, the Sun God allowed me to say good bye before he took them.." she trailed off, finally tearing her gaze from the sunflowers that marked their resting spots
"In some ways it has helped, in others it has made their passing even harder. They will forever be stuck as kits, while Lionkit and Fernkit continue to grow. They won't get the chance to experience life, to make mistakes... to find love" she could still see their little forms and how they had played with no fear. "The Sun God will watch over them for me, but I am there mother. They should be with me I have failed them"
