Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Perhaps change was afoot. THe humans had not moved out of the Mundane's camp in moons, and they looked to be tearing it apart. From his vantage point in the trees, Ravenstar had seen them clean up the ash and remove some of the cars. While the ash's cleanup was welcome, he couldn't not help but dislike the removal of all the decrepit human items. While ugly, they provided everyone there with shelter and places for prey to hide out. Without them, the place would be void of all food. He saw this change as Selene's will, and had to carry it out faithfully.
As the cats gathered beneath him, his voiced boomed from the top of the camp. "Shadowhunters and Mundanes, I have an announcement to make. The humans have not ceased their activities in the city of ash, and it does not look like they will stop soon. In addition, they are removing all the stuff that y'all lived in. When they move out, it will be uninhabitable. So, until we can find a suitable replacement, the Mundanes will be living here." He paused. "I know this is a big change, but it is not Selene's will to send them back there to die."
Spacevoyager nodded in agreement and glanced in the direction of the Shadowhunters. Carefully watching the crowd waiting for their reaction to this new development. Deep down he didn’t like the idea of having the mundane so close to their home. But he knew it was Selene’s will so he was going to happily obey.

Syndrome-enigma's eyes were a bit wide with surprise, then relaxed and welcoming of the changes than others might have been.
Lilysoul shared her father's surprise and wonder at the revelation, to no lesser disdain as being more enlightened and confident in Selene's will than her male family members.
Enigmaheart didn't know how not to express himself around his clan, despite normally knowing when to be quiet - well okay, even that was a stretch sometimes. "Why? And who says they'll just die? They're mundanes for a reason, let them struggle a little..." the tom wasn't completely riled up, annoyed at first and now he was looking rather apathetic as if it sounded too bothersome to let this continue and potentially change their ways I mean, then what? Let the mundanes not be mundanes anymore? Were they going to change all the rules around them cause that sounded like a job he wasn't going to touch (not that anyone in their sane mind would assign it him or let him be a part of that discussion, he would probably just derail the conversation and in general, prevent actual work from getting done.)
"That being said, some degree separation will still be maintained. The Shadowhunters and Mundanes will not share food together, and will have their separate kill pills. There will be no intermingled patrols. While you all are encouraged to have conversations in your spare time, when duty calls you are still separate." He knew this would be the hardest part to enforce. There would be some degree of bonding here no matter what, and he and his staff just had to do what he thought Selene would want.
Ayala did not know what to think of this. The Mundane had mixed feelings about living with the cats that she felt were oppressing them, but it's not like the kit could do anything about it. Of course, she made unfortunate eye contact with Enigmaheart. And boy did those eyes look scary. Shadowbladeღ

"Have you spoken directly to Selene about Mundanes? They are still Mundanes then?" Syndrome-enigma asked hoping he could forget his son's pompous attitude. But more importantly while he sounding to be asking for sure the rank still existed, he was subtly asking the leader if the rank should exist? Was there even a point if their treatment was becoming so similar to that of fellow Shadowhunters? On one paw, he and Asphodel never had to be Mundanes when they came to MoonClan and proved themselves nonetheless, but on the other paw he did understand how the rank had a purpose, it gave drive and a reason for a cat to grow to be one of them, and as much as he thought it was unneeded like before - he also felt it was a safety precaution and just because it didn't exist before didn't mean it wasn't worth having. History was meant to be learned from; they could only try to change for the better as remaining stagnant and stuck in old ways was an eventual death sentence on it's own.
Enigmaheart did not consider any Mundane worth their effort, they weren't responsible for every cat that came begging their way. If they did that, those Mundanes would just sit around getting fat on their food while they did all the hard work. Enigma glanced at the Mundanes but hardly gave any of them more than a second of his time. Even the kits weren't their problem as far as he as concerned, although... they were a little harder to place his exact feelings on since no kit should struggle, especially the motherless kits. Still, once they were old enough and able to be responsible they could teach it to hunt and send it on their way than fully coddle them.
"Good question. No, I have not. She is not one to speak out unless it is vitally necessary. If the time comes and I am gravely wrong, then she will appear. But, I am doing my best to read her omens and signs." He paused. "They have no told me that the Mundanes should be left to find their own place, so I believed the best course of action was to give them space here." Perhaps one day that wall could be torn down, but not today and not now. In order for such a drastic change he would need to speak to Selene.

Syndrome-enigma just nodded his head in acceptance of the response, while his long-haired copy of a son continued to look like he'd rather be anywhere else right now.
"Then it is to be," the High Witch spoke up, "I will treat them all the same, nothing really changes." she offered a small smile as she looked from Ravenstar to the clan, a peek of confidence giving just the tiniest reassurance to everyone that everything was okay and her faith radiated. Perhaps that little affect would grow stronger over time as she became more confidence in role - one of which that felt so intimidating before, usually for a chosen Downworlder. So perhaps, it could be felt as a step down rather than up as the link between Clan and Mundanes without any of the elemental power wasn't as glamourous as the typical medicine cat's role. But there was a separation there, to uphold the ways of the two different caste and still have sound faith in Selene's guidance. Where would it lead them?
He was grateful for his High Witch's support. If someone like Enigmaheart was in the position, who knows what path the Clan would be heading down. Well, they'd probably still be arguing about what they should do, and lobbing insults at each other. Instead, he got a nice cat who just did as she was told. He couldn't have asked for anything better. "Alright then, I'll leave you to helping them get settled Lilysoul. You know them better than anyone else here."
