Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Are you ready for your assessment?" Littlestar asked, looking down at the apprentice as she perched on a high step of the amphitheater. The time had come to test Sparklepaw's skills, to see if he had learned enough during his studies to become a warrior. In order to be promoted he would have to pass a test set up the Janus. If he passed he would be allowed to be promoted during the next ceremonies, but if he failed he would have to go back and study before retaking the assessment. The assessment chosen was unique for each apprentice, a test meant to determine if an apprentice could overcome their flaws and be a productive member of the clan. biyuu ☆彡
Sparklepaw had always been taught that lying was bad, and wrong, and that he should never do it. Actually he hadn't been taught that at all, he just found that lying left an icky taste in his stomach and he'd engineered some false childhood memories so he had an excuse to be brutally honest. "No!" he chirped, puffing out his chest proudly. "To tell the truth Littlestar, I've actually never felt less ready for something!"
"I appreciate your honesty" Littlestar replied with a little smile "Just do your best, remember that the only consequence for failing is having to go back and train for a few more moons before you are ready to be promoted" she looked to the other Janus, and than back at the young cat "Your assessment will be a simple one... Each of the Janus will step forward and tell you something about themselves. One of the cats speaking to you, will be lying. Littlestar blinked, turning her head to the side slightly "Is that your guess?" she paused giving the apprentice an opportunity to think about what they had said "You will only get one guess, and you have not even heard the Janus speak yet" the silver she-cat let silence settle between them for a moment "The choice is yours, young one"
Sparklepaw's gaze darted between Littlestar and the Janus. A bead of sweat formed on his brow and slowly made its way down his forehead. The cogs were turning in his brain, harder than they'd ever turned in his life. "Um..." he muttered. "...Iwouldliketoheareveryoneelsespeakplease!"
"Hi Sparklepaw! Your paint looks lovely today!" Vividcanary purred, yellow eyes shining bright with warmth and positivity. She and Sparklepaw were very close in age and she was excited to play this game with her.
Skipstep smiled at Vividcanary. Sparklepaw's paint did look nice in his opinion.
"I'll go next " He said getting up to sit beside Littlestar facing Sparklepaw. "I was born in WinterClan and came to SunClan alongside my one true love Littlestar."
Then because he could he turned and rubbed his cheek against his mate's. Her longer fur fluffing up against his much shorter coat.
His mate had just looked like she needed a snuggle... and making the other Janus groan was a little hilarious.

The grey and white she cat stepped up looking down at all of the young cats looking at her. Lilypool's closed her eyes for one moment before speaking. "I was attacked recently by a fox on Fallclan territory and saved by a Fallclan member that may wish to join us one day."
Both Wickedpaw and Vibrantpaw were silent hoping to figure out who the liar was. Wickedpaw definitely thought Skipstep was lying. Totally had to be. Vibrantpaw on the other hand still wasn't sure who it was yet.
Vividcanary looked confused for a moment then giggled and stepped back, drawing her paw over her mouth so Sparklepaw couldn't see her expression. She didn't want to distracted the soon-to-be Warrior from her task.

Lacelily thought Her grandmother and skipstep were absolutely adorable together and it distracted her for a moment. She blinked and her attention refocused on the task at paw.
"I start my day every day with the same routine. Every day without fail," It was vague but simple. It was her first assessment since becoming janus.

Littlestar purred, her tail wrapping around her mate's not caring if it was distracting the apprentice. This was an assessment after all. She nosed his cheek gently "and I'm so glad that you did" she gushed, before finally looking back at the apprentice "Well you have heard from the Janus, whom is the liar?"
"Um..." Sparklepaw was stumped, especially by Lacelily and Nightfury. Lacelily's statement didn't ring true to him--what, had she NEVER gotten woken up by some noisy snoring Clanmate who'd made her disrupt her routine? Would one instance of that even make her statement a lie, or was he supposed to not read too deeply into things? Nightfury's was even worse. If he selected Nightfury as the liar, then...what did that mean? If he was the liar then he wouldn't actually be the liar anymore because he would be the liar which was true if he was the liar so he wouldn't be the liar because the thing he said was true? Also, how the heck was he supposed to know what Lilypool was getting up to in her spare time? He didn't have friends! He didn't know how to socialise! He had no way of finding out these things!
...He wasn't ready for this.
"It's me..." Sparklepaw whispered, a single tear rolling down his cheek. "I'm a fraud. I'm the liar, Littlestar. Send me back to the apprentice's den. I'm not worthy of being promoted..."

Littlestar chuckled "Sparklepaw, you are choosing yourself as the liar?" it was an... interesting twist on the assignment. She looked to the Janus "Go ahead, reveal whom among you has lied" JetclawashestoashesJadiestardanceuniqcrimHoneystorm
Skipstep cocked his head. He chuckled. "I lied. I was not born in WinterClan." He said. "Littlestar is the love of my life, but I'm afraid my fur is much too short for WinterClan."
