Frigidpaw longe dot be free, but it wouldn’t happen. Recently though he’d learned he was related to the sovereign. They were only half siblings but still the relation was there and the idea caused a curiosity to stir in him. The orange and white tabby paused at the edge of the prison, eyes locked on the outside world, on freedom. But, he’d probably never see it. He’d murderer a fellow student, an unforgivable act.
"Watch yourself. You might get your nose clipped" Lastfrost chuckled as he padded past. Stopping when he saw the young prisoner moving close to the edge of the prison. He had seen it happen to other prisoners. Sticking a paw or a muzzle to close to the openings and getting a well placed claw to paw or nose. He hadn't done it himself. He was much more diplomatic and frankly viewed WinterClan's prison system as... conservative, old-fashion. Intending to continue on his way he found himself stopping and blinking at Fridgedpaw. The white of his pelt causing his bright yellow eyes to seem somehow like the sun.
At that statement, the tom ripped his face back, fearful it’d come true. Frigidpaw wasn’t that young anymore, about mid warrior age, but he was the longest standing Rosinen run WinterClan. He’d been place sun here as an student when he’d murdered a feel clan mate and student. Since then, he’d been here, living as a prisoner with the name of a student. It was odd, but he also didn’t know anything different at this point. His eyes focused on the cat before him, his mind repeating why his sister Frevidsummer had told him. “Keep quiet, keep to yourself, and stay out of trouble. And don’t tell anyone about Wintrystar’s relation to us.” She repeated it every time she came to visit. Like how he was the longest staying prisoner, Frevidsummer was the most frequent visitor. Most guards didn’t even bother stopping her when she came by anymore. “You’re new.” He knew most of the guards by Bosc but he hadn’t met this one before.
"New to the clan? No. New to you? Maybe. I don't find myself here," he motioned with his tail to the prison. "Very often." His gaze shifting back to the tom. "However I will say I have never met any of the prisoners while they have been prisoners. Though I remember the crimes that land them here. At least most of them." He blinked as the sun peaked momentarily through the clouds blinding him with its harsh light for a moment before he recovered and gave his chest fur a quick recovering lip. "I suppose there is little hope for redemption from murder." he said casually.
