Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Heavystar had gone on a short trip the second that the clan had moved into their new home. He felt a bit bad leaving the clan in the hands of his newly named deputy, yet he had picked the most capable cat he knew. And when he returned home he was pleased to find that she had kept house just as well as he could've done himself. "Breezestep," he called in greeting upon finding her amoung the cats still settling in. "Glad to see everythings in tip top shape, good job." he congratulated. "Would you like to go exploring a bit?" he asked, flicking his tail in curiosity.
The newly-named deputy felt lost as Heavystar left the clan behind; there were so many preparations needed to make this land a viable home, and she didn't know where to begin. As the waiting eyes of her clanmates turned to her, Breezestep took a deep breath and tried to think.
When Heavystar returned, it was shortly after the hunting patrol departed, and the deputy was surrounded by questioning warriors. A few had taken to examine the dens or searching for bedding material; others herded the kits back toward their chosen den; Luckywillow persistently nagged at her shoulder, waiting to hear if the patrols had found any moss for his pregnant mate's nest. Breezestep's head was spinning. Her leader would have known how to handle all these cats and their concerns, but she was overwhelmed, and she had no idea who to listen to first.
Finally, the leader returned, and she looked up at him gratefully, excusing herself from the masses to head his way. "I think you'll find there is plenty of chaos left for you to manage," she chuckled nervously, "but I did my best. I'd be honored to explore with you."
