Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The dark tom really had no idea what he had been doing for the past few months. His mentor gave him something of a guess and help, but the tom was never much of a team player and hardly listened to the Soothsayer. He spent most of his days as he did before, hunting in the forests for his Clan. Even as a Janus, he never voluntarily engaged with the extra duties that came with the title. But he did not disobey when duty called... as it did today. Innocentlamment's body was burned into his brain. It was the first time he had seen the damage that whatever they were fighting could cause. It scared him, more than anything had in a long time.
So he took this time to get away from SunClan's main camp, and instead spent it pacing the amphitheater in the Janus camp. It gave him the silence he needed to really think things through.

Littlestar emerged from the top of the Janus camp, at the summit of the amphitheater. She had just authorized Sorrowfularia to do something. Distasteful, but necessary. Seeing the black tom pacing, she took her time. Gently bounding down the steps, unhurriedly. Only stopping when she became even with the tom, head turning to land her golden gaze on his pelt "Something on your mind?"
She sat down her fluffy tail falling over her back paws as she lifted the front to smoothe a stray piece of fur back into place
He hardly noticed the Priestess finding her way down until she was standing right in front of him... and even then he didn't really know where to start. The past moons had sent his brain into a spiral. He couldn't understand the enemy they were facing, and that bothered him. What drove him up the wall even more was that he couldn't find them. He had done his own investigations countless times, and he couldn't pick up a solid trail. They always eluded him, even on the clearest of days.
"Yes. Innocentlamment's body... she was tortured before she died. For what, I don't understand. From what I can tell, they know more about us than us about them. What would she have known that they needed?" He growled. "I swear, they already know where the camp is, who we all are... just about everything. Why did they need to torture her?"

"If I knew the answer to that question, I would have already acted" Littlestar was equally frustrated by the lack of evidence, but she already had her suspicions of who was behind it. This had to be related to that... thing. The cat in the mist that had already taken so much from her, and vowed to take everything she held dear. She still bore the scars it had given her, though her long fur mostly hid them from view.
"Whatever is behind this... it's far closer than you think" it was the first time she had admitted this, but Nightfury was a member of her staff. One of the chosen cats to help keep the clan safe "I fear they walk among us"
"I know, and was bothers me is that we have no leads." His claws curled into the earth. "Littlestar, I did the same kind of things as these cats. If I didn't smell like SunClan, I think I could blend in with them. They're silent, patient, and ruthless. But they're all better than me. Every single one. They don't leave anything traceable whatsoever. They know when our patrols leave and what gaps they have." He paused. "I honestly don't know why they haven't swarmed us yet."
That made him stop. They had so much knowledge, yet they didn't do anything with it. They were vultures. "They must walk among us, it's almost a given. But where would I hide if I wanted to infiltrate..." He wrapped his tail around his paws. "Littlestar... could this thing fool the Sun God's tests? If not, then they would have to have been apprenticed here. If they could not fool the sunflower test, then they must be SunClan born or been brought here young." He paused. "Or be young..."

"No there is no way around the test... The Sun God is able to into their souls. Those that do not believe in him, or have ill intentions would have failed" she paused, listening to his words "That is something I have considered" she admitted, but it was painful for her to do so. It was no secret that the silver queen had a major soft spot for the youth of the clan, often going to extreme lengths to keep them safe "There are other ways though.... being turned away from the Sun God after initiation is always an option, as is the current imitates that have yet to take the test. At this point, it is impossible to narrow down the list of suspects' her eyes landed on him firmly. As he already admitted, Nightfury had been responsible for this kind of thing in the past. She wanted to believe in him, but in these times it was difficult to know whom to let into her inner circle as she sorted through this tangled web that had infiltrated their clan
This time, she choose trust "But perhaps there is another way to find out the spies among us, hidden in The Temple"
Perhaps there was another way around the test, one Littlestar would have had limited experience with. Maybe it was their weak point, what made them vulnerable to the spies. "Perhaps those are true, or it could be initiates that were passed in Bloodystar's rule. He had the leap of faith, not the sunflower test." It could land him in hot water, but he had no choice in speaking it now. "He told me what was on the bottom of the leap, who knows how many others he told."
"As for the Temple, you would know more than me. I haven't returned since the night you introduced us to it." Perhaps he should of, but the place was hardly his scene. "But maybe we should avoid going to them. I don't think they would know any more than us."
