Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Things were finally settling into as close to normal as DayClan was ever going to get. Everyone was back on the territory, the Regime was StarClan knows where and the loudest she-cat's were pregnant with the next generation.
And she had never felt so alone.
Her adoptive parents were dead and, despite her best efforts, her biological parents remained distant. Harvestcharm, probably her only friend, had left DayClan for a sewer spirit... OK that last one she could have seen coming a mile away, the guy was an idiot, but knowing that didn't make it easier.
Divinefavor sighed and laid her head on her paws. Today was a dreary, cold one, with gray skies and winter whispering on the breeze. All her beloved flowers were dead and the trees half bare. The days were short and the nights were long. It would depress anyone especially one so prone to depression.
I'll skip my evening patrol... no one will miss me anyway, She decided, closing her eyes, I'll just sleep until greenleaf...
About the whole 'dead parent' thing. She wasn't actually supposed to be revealing herself, buuut, seeing her daughter sad and alone, Fia couldn't simply ignore her, now could she? Which was why the ash and shadow feline was gently shaking Divinefavor awake. "Wakey wakey."
"Leave me alone, will you?" Divinefavor groaned, turning away from the cat that was pestering her. She hadn't realized who it was, "I'm having a depressive episode and if you get too close to me then that's on your for getting shredded."
When sleepy, Divinefavor was a lot more aggressive and direct
"I would, but I think I've left you for too long already, Divine." Fia evidently didn't seem deterred by her daughter's attitude, in fact seeming perhaps a touch amused, and greatly saddened by her daughter's blunt admittance in her own sadness. "Come on, get up. I want to make up for missed time."
Divinefavor's ear twitched, but she didn't turn to face Fia, not yet.
"Leucisticcrow, how many times do I have to tell you that it's not acceptable to mimic the voice of someone's dead loved one?"
This time her voice trembled slightly. While the black-furred demon had certainly played that trick, he'd never been quite so uncanny. Usually he'd say stupid things the dead would never say like, There's a snake in my boot! or To infinity and beyond!, senseless phrases meant to annoy not trick.
"Now go away, I mean it. I don't have time for you today..."
(I promise my next reply she will react properly xD just had too much fun)
"While I wish I could do that, unfortunately you'll just have to settle for the real thing. Because I didn't die just to never see you again. I've missed you you know." Fia prodded Divinefavor now, a sad sort of half smile on her expression as she waited for her daughter to realize this wasn't exactly the scenario she thought it was.
Finally Divinefavor turned around, her odd eyes at first narrowed and annoyed, paw raised and poised to do some shredding. But they she froze, paw still held high in the air but claws sheathed, her expression shifting from annoyed to shocked to confused in about 1 second before settling on something bitter sweet.
"You're supposed to be dead," She said the obvious first as the cogs in her mind continued to turn, "You're... you're not a ghost, are you? I've had it up to here with ghosts after StarClan pulled that stunt a few moons ago."
Since her paw was still in the air, it did in fact indicate the exact height of her patience with ghosts.
The demonic she-cat patted herself experimentally, flashing a silly sort of smile that countered Divinefavor's shock. "Don't think so. Perks of being Immortal Council is the extra lives situation, right? Our family is always notoriously hard to kill." She danced on her paws slightly a moment, before just tackling Divinefavor in a hug she'd been holding back. Almost as if to remind herself her daughter was real as much as it would cement the same for Divine.
Divinefavor did not do physical affection, but also she was stunned, so Fia would get away with it this time. She didn't hug her mother back but she didn't struggle or try to pull away, accepting the hug for what it was, the embrace of a long lost mother and her depressed daughter.
"But... weren't you literally eaten by wolves?," Divinefavor was stuck on the details. Regardless of the number of lives a cat may have, ripped in half was still very, very dead, "How did you survive? What took you so long to get back here? Is this... is this even real, am I dreaming?"
Divinefavor took the paw that somehow was still sticking straight in the air and scratched herself across the bridge nose. She instantly felt the pain of a scratch and a little dribble of blood run up to her eye since she was laying on her back.
"You're really here, aren't you?"
The blood drop turned pink as a single tear met it, although it didn't really go anywhere given her current angle.
Fia watched as Divinefavor injured herself, and gently licked her daughter across the nose. "I'm really here, why don't we go find somewhere to sit and I'll explain everything?"
Divinefavor got to her paws and wiped at where Fia had licked her, a habit she'd always had ever since she was a kit. Even if you give her a kiss she's gonna wipe it away. She just thought spit was gross, ok!?
She didn't respond to Fia with words, instead giving her an affirmative nod. The ginger and white she-cat then followed after her in silence as they made their way to some place more private.
If there was any place Fia figured they would be alone, it was twolegplace. She'd spent more than enough time there, at this point. Not that the she-cat was keen on returning, but she didn't think anyone would follow them. As they walked into the suburbs, Fia Cendrillon led them past some quaint brick houses, eventually having Divinefavor climb one of them with her so they could surveil the neighborhood side by side. "To cut a long story far too short. When Glowstar sent us out to save those kits, Tigerlily threw me to the dogs. If not for luck and extra lives, I wouldn't be here." The she-cat tilted her head back and to the side, where just beneath her long fur, the faint marks of scars could be seen in her flesh, dog bite to the side of her neck.
Divinefavor was not keen on going into twolegplace. She was forest born and raised, only observing twolegs and their dwellings from a safe distance, not to mention that she herself was not a very confident cat. Every rustle of a leaf or distant bark of a dark made her fur stand on end. That being said, the change in scenery was, at the very least, a surefire way to reset her mood. By the time Fia came to a halt, Divinefavor was on edge but otherwise normal.
"Tigerlily did this?" Divinefavor's eyes widened and the narrowed in anger. She'd always had a favorable opinion of Tigerlily, "That doesn't make sense, would would she gain from it? Power? Things don't work that way in DayClan and she's smart enough to know it."

"I suppose to gain back that Immortal Council position she lost when Glowstar came back. Whatever the reason, she wanted me dead. Did anyone else come back from that patrol, do you know? I know someone probably saw what happened. Either she got rid of them, or bought their silence, since you seem shocked." Fia rubbed the scarred part of her neck as she thought. "Either way, I'm glad to get out. How is Goldenphantom, your siblings?" No one had told her about Golden being gone, or anything else really, so she was mostly in the dark, beyond some bits and pieces Senescence had filled in.
"Goldenphantom is dead," Divinefavor didn't hesitate to break the news. There was no point in tip-toeing around it, regardless of her delivery, she knew it would crush Fia so she decided to be blunt, "So is Princecharming. Everyone else is around, but... we don't really talk."
The ginger-and-white she-cat was calm and collected, more so than she had been when they first interacted. She didn't seem upset or even emotional in the slightest. This was how she was most of the time, and Fia, being her mother, would probably pick up on that... if her heart-break let her.
