Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was supposed to be a relaxing moment. The sun was just barely beginning to set above the flowery fields - the perfect time to arrive to get settled in to watch the sunset. Timelesspaw had made sure that she arrived just at this time, hoping for both the beautiful sight of the setting sun and the beautiful flowers. What she hadn't accounted for, however, was the season. Many of the usual flowers were nowhere to be seen. Though many were still scattered throughout the meadow, it definitely wasn't as beautiful as it could have been.
The calico could have overlooked this - and she tried to. Timelesspaw had taken her time to pick out a nice spot that would give her the best view, and had only been there for a short while before the flies had come. Where they had come from, she wasn't sure, but not only did they get in the way of the scenery, they were also swarming around her. So, there the apprentice sat, swatting at fly after fly.

Cursedheart had definitely needed to get away from the camp. To many of his clanmates were bothering him, hounding him with question after question... or so he thought. In reality, they had only asked if he wanted to join them on a last-minute hunt and the tom had wanted time to himself. So he had done what he did best. Offered a gruff reply and stalked right out of there. In truth, it probably wouldn't hurt him if he just tried to play nice. But the bright orange tom just wasn't... well sociable. Which is why he curled his lip when he stumbled upon one of the apprentices that seemed to have also found their way into the meadow.
"Uhm... what are you doing?" He asked with a raised brow as he watched her.
Times had been…hard recently for Honeycream. His mate was dying, his family was struggling to cope with that, and he was trying to hold it all together. But he just needed a moment. A moment away from them and where he could recollect his shattering pieces and try again. Stepping out towards the flower fliers, he caught a glimpse of the sun beginning to fall below the horizon. Maybe I’ll stay and watch for a bit, he thought. The honey colored tom had expected dot find two others here though as he stepped out into a flat space. “Oh.”

Cursedheart flicked his ears as he looked towards Honeycream, letting out a small little snort. He did his best to hide the annoyance he felt bubbling within him. Was there no escape from everyone? He had left camp hoping to be alone and now he found himself in the midst of two of his clanmates. And he couldn't be rude to Honeycream! He wasn't that heartless! Everyone knew what was going on with him, it wasn't as if it were kept secret. Everyone loved a good gossip now and then and unfortunately, he heard every bit of it.
"So uhm... you guys come out here often?" Cursedheart said awkwardly, still attempting to figure out what it was that Timelesspaw was doing
“Well….” Honeycream loved flowers and always had. More often than not he could be found out in these flower fields just relaxing and making flower crowns, so to say he came here often was an understatement. “I do. Come here often that is. It’s…it’s peaceful out here.” How else did you explain that the flowers had always been your escape? The tom settled down, feeling awkward to have come across two others. The air just filled with this awkwardness.

"Ah... right, peaceful... definitely." Cursedheart said as he cleared his throat. How much more awkward can this get. "So... flowers... you like those right? Any uhm... specific kind?"
The orange tabby had known a little bit about his clanmates. He usually always saw Honeycream with some kind of flower in his jaw for one of his two mates. He wasn't sure if he was a romantic or anything like that, but Cursedheart was never one to assume.
“I adore them all. Different ones mean different things and pairing them together could even lead to a message. It’s an interesting concept and some have even used it in the past to send hidden messages to lovers or as Informatives for spying.” He brightened a little talking about one of his most favorite things but the thought led him back to his family, cats he’d shared this love of flowers with for moons. Maybe he’d make Faithfulfeather and Ivorysnow some flower crowns while he was out.
The sudden appearance of not just one cat, but two, had shocked Timelesspaw. She had been caught mid-swipe, giving a very low effort to actually swat a fly in fear of actually hitting it, when Cursedheart had shown up. Then Honeycream had appeared as well. For a little while, as the two conversed, all that the apprentice could do was watch nervously, paw still hovering in the air. Finally, sense snapped back to her.
"Oh! I'm sorry!" she said suddenly, lowering her paw. The flies had long since scattered, giving her some sort of peace. Lifting her head towards the sky, she gauged how low the sun was in the sky. The sunset would start soon. "Would you guys like to watch the sunset with me?" she asked, her gaze returning to the two toms in front of her with a soft but cheery smile. They were already here, and the event had started off different than she had planned, so why not try to make the best of it with some company?
“That would be lovely, thank you.” He’d come out for peace by himself but was finding that a new set of company was appreciated. They weren’t his mates or his family or his close friends, so it was nice. They weren’t looking at him with eyes full of pity and their own sadness, with hopes he can fix things. No, they we’re giving g him space and it was appreciated. Honeycream took his place on one side of Timelesspaw, a small smile in place and tail curled tight around his paws.
