Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"I bet we can beat you!" Heatherkit's eye gleamed with fanatical glee, muzzle raised as self-confident hubris filled her.
An older and larger kit, Maroonkit, peered down at her, then proclaimed vigorously, "No way! We have more cats than you- and we're bigger! That means we're faster and stronger, too."
He wasn't wrong- one of four brothers, Maroonkit and his siblings were next in line to be promoted in the upcoming ceremonies, which would certainly lend them an advantage in this king of the mountain showdown- but that only served to widen her grin. Heatherkit leaned in closer, conspiratorially, as if to share a secret between them, but what she said was loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. "We'll do your chores for the next three moons if you win and vice versa. Sound good?" The way his brows lifted sealed it; he'd taken the bait.
Later, with her sisters now manifested at her sides, Heatherkit grinned broadly. "Don't go easy on us now," she taunted the brothers, leaning into her own siblings in turn. "Ready?" she then whispered to them.
"I was born ready," Juniperkit said, grinning at her sisters. The gray fuzzball of a kitten had certainly perked up in the last few moons. She'd been born much quieter and reserved than the other two, taking longer to speak. It was strange, some had said, that she seemed to soak up everything like a sponge, watching the world with wide eyes and a thoughtful expression. Like she was learning to imitate the world rather than knowing instinctively how to socialize.
Now, though, she was strong and confident, even at only four and a half moons. With her newfound charisma, most forgot the kit had ever been odd at all. Now they chuckled at the way she maneuvered the naturally louder and boastful Heatherkit into a less dominant role. "Are you ready, Mallowkit?" She asked, turning to her sister with a wide smile.

Mallowkit was the quiet one of the litter, preferring to sit with their mother and make little flower crowns, or play tea time with the other kits rather than wrestle as the others did. She knew that Heatherkit and Juniperkit were always ready to be warriors; they spent every moment either play fighting or trying to get the apprentices to teach them what they knew, but Mallowkit? She wasn't so sure. Frankly, battling and being a warrior seemed just a little too...violent for her tastes. She wasn't clumsy necessarily but she didn't have the same drive to win as her siblings did.
"Do we have to?" she asked despondently, looking rather intimidated by Maroonkit, "why can't we just make flower crowns with mom instead?"
"Mal," Heatherkit warned with a hiss, "you really want these boys to think they're better than us? They're nothing but a bunch of brainless dolts- plus, me and Junie are here, yeah?" Mallowkit was the weak link of their litter- but that played exactly into their paws, garnering them an element of surprise from the brainless dolts snickering at them from across the way.
Whilst the sisters were bickering, Maroonkit clambered to the top of the hill, situating himself comfortably at the top and positioning his feet in a way that would make it increasingly difficult to usurp him.
"We'll make flower crowns after," Juniperkit reassured her sister. "Promise. But we'll need your help, Mallow, to take them down. We're both counting on you." If there was anything Juniper knew about her sister, it was that she could be cajoled into almost anything if she thought her siblings wanted and needed her there. Even if it was reluctantly, she always tagged along.

She nodded reluctantly. Mallowmusk had never really liked fighting and she gave Heatherkit an annoyed glance. Why was she always so violent anyway? "Fine," she mumbled, as she followed after Juniperkit, "what's the plan?"
Excitement trilled through her, Heatherkit kneading her paws impatiently. She was never one for plans, preferring action, so she glanced across at Juniperkit, undoubtedly the ringleader of their trio. "We charge 'em!" she squeaked.
Juniperkit considered that for a moment, then glanced over at Maroonkit and his gangmates. Her lips pursed faintly, whiskers twitching thoughtfully. "No, that's what they'll be expecting, and they'll have the numbers and the strength," she said, humming to herself. "King of the hill is always a free-for-all- we should throw them off their game, and swarm one of them at a time instead of splitting our forces. That'll make it more likely for us to win."

Mallowkit just nodded, glancing from one sibling to the next uncertainly. "Well who should we swarm first?" she asked, before glancing to the group. "We should take out their loudmouth leader first," she mumbled. Without a uniting voice, surely they'd go under.
"Good idea," Juniperkit told her sister, hiding the flash of annoyance that Mallowkit had come up with their first target. "On the count of three, we'll rush their idiotic leader. Ready?" She pulled back, lining up alongside her sisters and stifling a competitive grin. "One, two, three... GO!"
Juniperdust dashed forward, leading the charge towards the group of tom-kits.
