"Best not to look at ghosts too long... your fur will turn white." He had noticed the way Nebulakit constantly seemed to be glancing around at something. He was convinced. Not that it took too long to convince Ghastlykit of anything supernatural. It was fun to tell ghost stories to the other kits, they were amazed awfully easy. It would take more than a little ghost to scare the unusually black and white striped tom. "Unless you want to turn white, bit strange if you ask me."
Her heart dropped into her stomach with a fwoop. How did this creature know about her friend? A wave of varying emotion overtook her, its tumultuous sea near suffocating and sending her heartrate far into the atmosphere. Surprise, disbelief, curiosity, sudden dread, jealousy, possession, anger, doubt, and finally resignation. Her shadow friend was hers. No one elses. She had been fine with him appearing in her peripheral because she knew she was the only one he appeared to. But if Ghastlykit was aware of it… suddenly she could taste acid on her tongue and she clenched her jaw.
“Do I look vain to you?” She gazed at him, expression hard and unyielding, assessing him, all the while her aggression roiled within her. “What a cowardly excuse to avoid the veil between worlds.” She sneered.

Ghastlykit rolled his eyes and stretched his long limbs in turn. He took his time formulating a response. She reacted in such a strange way... it made him curious. "A kit ought to learn how to protect themselves from both sides. Not everything that meets the eye is good for the eye."
Ghastlykit was convinced there was more than meets the eye. Nobody really seemed to understand his interest, or rather obsession, with the other side but they did not prevent him from pursuing it either. Wintrystar simply gave him a look but didn't say much as long as he stayed in line.
