Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Knightkit sat in SunClan camp, his amber eyes looking around. Most of SunClan was very nice to him. Almost too nice at times. He noticed some kits grumbling at the attention he and his siblings seemed to get from the clan. But didn't they realize that they still had parents they could go back to and be happy with?
Every time he and his siblings had had to go to their mother. She would be angry and become irate. She would often grab at them trying to pull them in close and the Janus had to pull them away when their feeding was done.
But soon he and his siblings would be able to eat prey and this wouldn't be a problem. And he couldn't wait.
Then they wouldn't have to make their mother so unhappy... though he didn't understand why seeing her own kits would make her so unhappy. But he didn't want to ask.
So instead, since SunClan was always going out of their way to be nice to them, to make up for their mean mother. Knightkit had taken it upon himself to try and do some chores today.
He was still far smaller than any of the apprentices so when he went to the high priestesses den and surveyed the nest that would need to be cleaned away. Then he got to work.
And wound up making a huge mess.
The little gray kit scowled down at the mess he'd made. His ears lowered. He'd been trying to clean up! Not make a big mess. Now Foxstar would surely be angry... His little tail drooped at the thought. But knowing he had to own up to his mistake he went and sat outside the den and waited for the leader to return so he could apologize to her and try to explain he'd just been trying to help.

Foxstar saw the tom from a ways off as she was walking up the path to her den. His little gray pelt stood out against the orange sandstone, and she could see his stormy expression as he neared. Things were going well. The kits were more resistant to seeing their mother each and every day, and soon, they'd never want to see her at all, if the Priestess got her way. Of course, that meant the she-cat was extra nice to the kits, which was a touch unusual for her since the change of religion. Even so, it was rather easy to slip on the mask of old, a friendly smile on her expression as she paused at Knightkit's side, head tilted slightly in concern. "Is something wrong, Knightkit? Are you alright?" She questioned softly, her expression encouraging in contrast with his apparent guilt.
Knightkit looked up at her. He took in her friendly expression and his guilt grew he lowered his head ears drooping. "I wanted to help... but i made a big mess instead." He said nodding to her nest that was now well shredded. "I saw older cats doing cleaning and i wanted to do it too! But it was too big for me." He said. "Im really sorry, ill help you fix it." He added quickly.

The Priestess' smile never wavered as she glanced back, beholding the mess the young tom had created. He'd managed not only to destroy her and Condorstrike's shared nest, but Littlebird's as well. It was almost impressive, just how badly the kitten had managed to make the den look. Rather than get irritated, however, the she-cat let out a soft laugh. "I appreciate the attempt, Knighkit." She purred lightly, her ivy gaze turning back to him. "Fixing it together sounds like a great idea, thank you for helping." Instead of admonishing him for the failure, she chose to praise him not only for trying, but for owning up to his mistake and still being willing to help.
Knightkit perked up lifting his head to look up at Foxstar, looking relieved and hopeful. "Okay!" He said brightly. "So where should i start? What should i do first?" He asked turning to focus on the messy den the kittens tail waving. Guilt assauged and eager to assist in cleaning up the mess he'd made.

"How about we gather all the bedding together? Turn it into one giant moss and feather ball that will be easier to clear away than all these scraps." Foxstar suggested, stepping further into the den and already beginning to brush her paw across the ground, gathering the bits and pieces of the mess and pushing them towards the center of the den to make a pile.
