Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. FALLCLAN The full moon brought many strange things with it, but perhaps the weirdest thing of all was the fact that Hystericstar had been the first one to the gathering place. The hairless tom was well-known for rarely showing up to gatherings since he became leader, but this time, he had led FallClan into the empty clearing early. Another strange thing about this gathering: it was the first Mountain Clan gathering for a while - at least that he was aware of. He had missed many in the past year, after all, and he had only been here once when Cal was leader.
The eerie form of Hystericstar sat in the clearing, the shadows cast by the moon seemingly distorting his already twisted body even further, waiting for the rest of the Mountain Clans to arrive. This was certainly a weird night.

FALLCLAN Spiralpaw pranced behind her leader with bright, curious eyes. This would be her very first gathering and she was already excited to play tricks and eat plenty of random foods if the other clans brought any. Her fluffy tail swished back and forth in anticipation as they settled into the empty gathering area. "Awww no one is here yet! When are they going to get hereeeeee." She whined to the leader, looking around for Weaselpaw at the same time.
Chaicrisp sat down at the side of the clearing, feeling unexpectedly blue as she peered over at Hystericstar and then at Jayjack. She had heard they went on a date... Letting out a sigh, she tore her attention away from the two toms and gazed dully around the clearing. Usually a chipper cat, it was odd for her to not look forward to a gathering but here she was.
Jayjack entered shortly behind Hystericstar, his position as Aurulent earning him a place of honor at the leader's side, with his ears tuned forward and ready for the commotion. He was surprised to find the other clans weren't present; a quick glance to the sky confirmed it was the full moon, so they were merely the first to arrive.
Shadowfluff glanced about the gathering place warily as she slunk after her clanmates. "It's too quiet here," she muttered to Chaircrisp from the corner of her mouth.
FALLCLAN Typically, Hystericstar was a patient cat. He has to be, since working with herbs wasn't something that could be rushed and still get the same results. Despite having just arrived, he was already doubting that anyone else would show up. One glance up at the night sky was enough to tell him that he had the right day - ironically, he had done so at the same moment that Jayjack had.
Turning his gaze to Spiralpaw, he held back a sigh. What was that thought, about herbs and patience? It seemed like he still had to teach Spiralpaw that lesson. "You could go and sit lookout, if you're so eager to see other clans," he said.

FALLCLAN Chaicrisp looked back for a moment at Jayjack and Hystericstar and her heart dropped further into her stomach as she saw them looking up at the same time. Ugh, why? It almost took her a second to realize Shadowfluff had even spoken and when she went to answer it was just a dull, "Yeah..."
Spiralpaw's ears perked up excitedly. Sit lookout? What a great honor! "Okay, anything for you Hystericstar!" She purred brightly and pranced away to go sit in the tallest tree she could find.
SpringClan Jetstar sighed as she led SpringClan into the gathering space. She'd debated honestly sitting out this gathering considering how unhelpful last gathering had proven to be.
But it was best they do their best to maintain an appearance of normalcy. After all if everything went well SpringClan would be moving back into their camp soon enough.
So Jetstar led them into the mountain clans gathering space and flicked her tail allowing them all to disperse as they liked, making her way towards the center to join the leaders. lavellan
Cardinalsong's ears were drooped the ginger tom's heart still heavy with the fresh grief of losing his mother. He wished he'd done more to save Lightstep but now there was nothing for it. (open to anyone interacting with the sad boi)

oh boy all my characters are in the mountain clans now huh...
FallClan Weaselpaw walked calmly behind the leader, the crisp cool foil to Spiralpaw's boundless excitement and energy. He couldnt find the time for it. His fur bristled as the wind whistled through the clearing, sending a chill up his spine. He went to gatherings all the time. This was just another moon, another night. He sat quietly near the leader, waiting to see if the other medicine cats would attend.
Meanwhile Promisedpaw and Shadowpaw sat together, inseparable since joining Fallclan almost simultaneously. The two chit chatted back and forth, gossiping about their pasts. Shadowpaw kept a guarded look next to his friend, hoping that maybe his old clan would sit out this meeting.
SpringClan Blackberry followed his leader readily, and then disappeared into the flocks of cats gathered around, finding that other than his clanmates, only Fallclan had bothered to show so far. He wondered how Summerclan was faring and if maybe even Winterclan would show up, times for all of them around the mountain were so strange now.
SwiftClan And strange they were... Heavystar found himself at the gathering place, surrounded by the rest of Swiftclan in much better straits than seen previously at the last gathering with all the clans. He had only heard about this when a few of his warriors went along the borders of a couple of the mountain clans, and although they werent close neighbors, he figured it wouldn't hurt to get his clan further acquainted with the clans only a nights travel south. He dipped his head low as he approached the two leaders already present, "Jetstar, Hystericstar," he meowed, raising to meet their eyes, "Ive met you only briefly, I've brought my clan to this meeting to familiarize themselves with you all, we moved north, more than a short journey, but close enough to be allies with you all if necessary. We mean no harm in being here, and we come peacefully as always." Jetclaw @lavellan
SpringClan Jetstar wrapped her tail around her paws narrowing her eyes as she considered Heavystar. Of course the leader had mentioned at the gathering for the whole forest that he would be shifting SwiftClan closer.
She just hadn't thought it'd be so soon. SpringClan had yet to return to their camp, nor discern the cause of the flood. So the she cat was still a little tense.
But she could remain cordial. "I see, as long as you give SpringClan plenty of space we will be just fine." She said. "I have no problem with SwiftClan nearby."
Though she might consider increasing the patrols. Maybe see if she could squeeze in just a little bit of hunting off territory to ensure they got enough until their lands recovered from the flooding. complacentdevil

Swiftclan "Of course," he responded quickly, nodding with enthusiasm, "Our territory is far from encroaching on yours, with plenty of a buffer zone. You wont find a Swiftclan warrior close unless youd like them to be," he assured, moving to settle down in a spot close to the two, but enough to not encroach on them. He was happy for once that his clan could interact with others, and watched as a few warriors sprawled out into the crowd, making connections.
Limeburst was doing just that, the newly named warrior was proud to show off, and at a gathering no less. It was a dream come true. His pelt was clean and crisp and he looked about for anyone he could talk to, to tell them of Swiftclan and how brave he was on their travels here.

SWIFTCLANJetclawcomplacentdevillavellan "Don't worry, I'll always be close Jetstar." Calamityshrine purred, sauntering behind the leaders to reach the side of his longtime friend, Hystericstar. Once he sat down he gave Jetstar a wink and glanced over at Heavystar. "I won't be here long, I promise. Hysteric will kick me out of the circle before the rest of you could even open your mouth to." The feather-furred tom then turned his attention to the Fallclan leader with a soft smile. "How is everyone? That includes yourself."
SPRINGCLAN Astralflight entered the clearing behind Blackberry. Hoping to avoid the crowds as best as possible, he sat near the back and made himself look busy grooming.
FALLCLAN As other clans arrived, Spiralpaw danced back to Weaselpaw's side and gave a large sigh. "Look at how many there are! Does it make you nervous?
Subaru picked his way through the growing crowd of cats only to somehow get pinned next to Cardinalsong. "Uh hey there. You good?" Maybe that was too blunt of a question but Subaru had never been the beat-around-the-bush type of cat. Plus, what else was he to do? Jetclaw

Swiftclan Heavystar raised a brow as Calamityshrine made his welcome amongst the leaders but didnt move to correct him. He simply nodded and repeated himself, "We come peacefully as always," he huffed quietly, not wanting his clan to cause any trouble at their first small gathering.
Fallclan Weaselpaw shook his head at the question, "No, not really," he responded blankly, looking through the crowd since Swiftclan had arrived, He wondered if Fawnpaw would be coming along. He had found her calm yet sweet demeanor nice, and of all the other cats he could tolerate from other clans, it was her. He looked back at Spiralpaw for a brief moment, "The gatherings are never violent, no one is to case trouble, it doesnt strike my nerves." he explained.
SpringClan Jetstar had forced her fur to lie flat, though Calamityshrine moving to sit with them all had her pelt bristling all over again. "I see." She said drily, the tan and black she cat adjusting her position among the leader. "Well as long as you remain peaceful there should be no problems." She added more specifically to Heavystar. complacentdevilsimplylightlavellan
Cardinalsong blinked straightening up at being addressed, he looked to Subaru. "Oh! Hi, yes, I just..." He sighed. "My mother passed recently... she was getting on, but... it's hard y'know she was the last of my family around." simplylight
FALLCLAN The moment that SpringClan and SwiftClan entered the clearing, mixed emotions hit Hystericstar. First, it was relief that he did have the time and date right and that they wouldn't be the only clan here. But, then he remembered that this meant that he actually had to socialize and he couldn't just go back to his den. Before he knew it, however, Cal had joined his side alongside the leaders.
He gave a small nod to Jetstar and Heavystar - whose name he could not remember for the life of him. But if Heavystar claimed they've met before, then he was probably right. Then, his eerie golden eyes shifted to Cal. "I don't suppose you're here to be leader again?" he asked, ignoring his old friend's questions. complacentdevilJetclawsimplylight
She shouldn't be here, if anyone around her had anything to say about it. But, since when did Pumpkinspice ever listen to others? Her sister was here, as were medicine cats, so it should be safe even for her pregnant body. No, Pumpkinspice had insisted on coming so she could possibly get a glance at SummerClan, the clan that her mate had been from. He was no longer here, but perhaps someone from his family would be here? She had yet to break the news to any of them, and she was eager to do so. So, there she sat, glancing around while shifting her paws impatiently.

SWIFTCLAN lavellan An embarrassing snort escaped Cal at Hysteric’s suggestion. “Aha, no, definitely not.” He snickered and gave a glance towards the tense leaders nearby. “Do you really think after the last time that I should doom another clan to the most grumpy leader in all of the clans. Rivaling Chim even?” His eyes caught the heavily pregnant form of Pumpkinspice and a prickle of worry went down his spine. Casting a grin back in Hysteric’s direction, he continued on, “No I just wanted to greet my dearest friend since it has been so long. I must cut our greeting short, though. I’m sure you and these others are incredibly disappointed to see me go but I have to say hello to another special cat. Good day, leader cats. Or I guess, night. Hysteric, we will catch up soon. I may come and visit.”
He then began to weave his way to his adopted daughter, excitement and anxiety making his paws move faster than his brain so he kept tripping on tails and toes.
FALLCLAN Oof. Awkward. Subaru had really good luck when it came to socializing, obviously. He gave Cardinalsong an awkward pat on the back with his tail, not wanting to seem like he didn't care. He did to an extent, but handling grief wasn't something Subaru had never mastered. "Er, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know it never helps to hear this, truly, but I'm sure she is still with you even if you can't see her. A cat once told me that they live on in the small pieces of life. 'In fresh dew on the grass or the smell of warm pine on a cold night,' or some such thing. Sorry, I'm not too good with grief myself." Jetclaw
"Oh, oh, I see." Spiralpaw said, her voice a bit quieter as she watched the clans mingle with wide eyes. "You know, I may seem pretty sociable, but large crowds make me nervous." A shudder passed over her and she sighed. "I don't know why but they seem unpredictable." She looked up at Weaselpaw, noticing he seemed to be searching for someone. Selfishly, she hoped he never found them so she wouldn't have to sit alone with the older, intimidating medicine cats. complacentdevil

FALLCLANsimplylight Every time that Hystericstar met with Cal, it seemed like the leader's most common actions were sighing and shaking his head. And that's exactly what he did as Cal ran away. Unfortunately for Cal, all of his trips didn't go unnoticed by Hysteric.
It hadn't been that long since SpringClan and SwiftClan had joined them, but Pumpkinspice couldn't fight the worry that SummerClan wasn't going to show up. Before the worry could spread too far, her gaze fell upon Cal, and she greeted him with her usual large smile. "Cal!"
