Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The progress that Spacevoyager had made from Darkblessing's passing had been mostly behind the scenes. He had tossed a metaphorical wall up in front of him. Keeping all of his clanmates at tail's length. He avoided his own children, parents, and even his own brother. Everytime the tom would pass where Darkblessing's grave was located he would quickly walk in the opposite direction.
He was stuck between two different periods in his life. Living in the past and believe in a life that could of been or living in the present and showing up for his own children. So when the inquisitor pushed past Constellationkit and left the Moonclan camp. In hopes to not be followed. He found the ridge above the waterfall where his brother, Darkblessing, himself, and sometimes even his best friend Timekeeper would meet up. To watch the stars, share a meal amongst friends and complain about their duties as students. He sat down enjoying the peaceful silent that the ridge brought him.
He would always worry about Spacevoyager, he couldn't help it. So, when he noticed the Inquisitor push past his own kit and leave camp, Timekeeper followed. His pawsteps were quiet, and either he was much stealthier in this moment than he had first thought, or Spacevoyager was too preoccupied with his own thoughts, because the ginger tabby was able to stay undetected up until they were at the ridge - at least, he figured as much. There was only a moment's hesitation before he made his way to Spacevoyager, his side brushing against the other tom's.
He could've said something, but he decided to wait. Let Spacevoyager be the one to break the silence, but he would offer his silent support anyway.
Light citrine eyes closed as the silver leopard leaned into the ginger tabby. The one eyed tom had become his rock and only thing to tether him to reality. Something about the other tom's present he found comforting and it seemed to ground him. He allowed the silence to stretch a little while longer. Afraid if he spoke too soon that he would break down into a sob again. He let in a sharp breath before finally speaking. "Remember when we used to come here as students?"
A single green eye softened while watching as the tom leaned into him, then flicked to look out at the scenery. Timekeeper was glad that his presence had been accepted so easily, but the sharp breath breaking the silence had almost frightened him. Luckily, he was able to keep any visible reaction away, so that Spacevoyager could comfortably continue leaning against him.
"How could I forget?" he replied, his voice soft. "We came here so often."
"I wish they could be here to enjoy this." He said softly, implying that it felt strange to not have his brother Alientheory or his former mate Darkblessing with them. The inquisitor fell back into silence again. Citrine eyes opening to glance up at the stars. He briefly wondered if Darkblessing was up there somewhere watching the pair. "I'm scared..." The words were foreign to the tom. The Savannah barely scared of anything was here voicing his fears to his best friend away from the prying eyes of their clanmates. The softness of his voice made the Savannah sound rather small.
"I know," his words were just a breath as he tilted his head to lean against Spacevoyager. To Timekeeper, the memories were fond ones, but they were under a completely different light in Spacevoyager's mind. He had loved Darkblessing, and the loss had affected him greatly. Timekeeper had watched and done his best to support his friend in everything.
The Inquisitor's next words had surprised him, however. They sounded as strange as he assumed they felt to say, and Timekeeper tilted his head slightly to better look at him. His eyes only held warmth as they searched the tom's face. He didn't really know how to reply to that, how could he? But silence wouldn't help anything. "I'm here."
"How am I ever going to raise those kits without a mother. They need their mother. I don't even know how to be a father! I'm still young, and I'm the Moonclan Inquisitor for crying out loud! I always see my brother interacting with the kits. Parenting seems to come natural to him. I long for that relationship with them. But I'm afraid they will ask questions about Darkblessing. What do I tell them? That I couldn't save her?" He vented his spine began to stiff as the tom was in clear distress.
