Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Auxiliaries had been relegated to a particularly drafty bend in the tunnels. Which pretty much just meant Juliet had been thrown into some forgotten corner, left with the remains of whatever traps or supplies they'd been able to safely scavenge, and been told she had to rebuild them. At least she wasn't alone this time. The injured were stuck with her as well, having to help her with duties until they'd recovered, provided they were healthy enough to do even that right now.
Which apparently meant seeing her old rival, if she could call him that, again. "Looks like someone got knocked down a few pegs." Her words would have been sharper, if not for the fact that she was clearly not in the best shape of her life either. Few in the Regime were in perfect order. Traumatized, ill from smoke inhalation, half drowned, or otherwise. No one came out totally unscathed.

Alese was not happy to be where he was. He wanted and needed to be there for the Regime doing his mercenary work. As fate would have it however he was injured...badly injured. He has some damage to his lungs from the smoke and the chaman was unsure just how badly it was. She told him she would have to monitor him...basically wait and see how things went. On top of that he had some pretty decent burn marks on his paws and underbelly but the worse injure to top it off was his back. Something heavy fell harshly onto his back causing so much damage once again the chaman was uncertain how it would heal, even hesitantly mentioning that he may never be able to become a mercenary again.
"If you have time to talk you have time to work as they say. So if you are going to insult me at least be of some use to the Regime while you do that." His biting words coming from the pain he tried not to show (which was pretty decent at least) at her remark. He would come back on top and be the hard work acholic he once was. He would push himself to heal as fast as he could. The tom was trying hard to do some work himself but unfortunately had never been taught how to make traps (and he sure as hell wasn't going to ask for this she cats help.) He figured he would do this by trail and error. At some point he would figure it out.

"Nah, you're on my time now, so you get to deal with it. But I'm sure you break things just as well when you're trying to fix them as when you use them, huh? Otherwise I wouldn't need to be here." Juliet rolled her eyes.

He made no comment and chose to ignore her as he made an attempt to tie something in place feeling aggravated it wouldn't stay in one position. Maybe if he didn't say anything at all she would just go away and he could figure out this mess on his own without stress or worry. He was smart and could totally do this job, after all if Juliet could make these anyone could!

She worked in silence for a while, but it was pretty obvious he wasn't doing anything. Even at her painfully easy pace, she had a pawful of traps fixed, making it look all too simple. And yet... "Did you want some help?" Though Juliet's tone was filled with false innocence, the underlying sarcasm still came through clear as day.

"Oh no I think I can handle it just fine but thank you for the ever so kind gesture. Who would have thought you were so nice?" The tom replied back in false kindness throwing the same vibes back to her. Alese didn't need her help at all... nope. He would prove to her he could do anything no matter what condition he was in. Something snapped under his paw and kept in an angry hiss from escaping his lips. What did he do to deserve to have had any of this happen to him?
Juliet laughed. "Uh huh. Big strong mercenary isn't so good now, when you need a delicate paw." She mused, listening to the snap of a part of his current project beneath his paw. "If you don't need my help, you can have fun explaining why we have even less traps than before next time someone asks."

Tail twitching the tom couldn't help but let his annoyance show this time. "Well you seem to be so high and mighty about how perfect your traps are. Go on ahead and show me oh great Juliet just how you make such perfect traps. I mean you should at least be decent with them since that is all you can do." Alese spoke the last sentence to himself. Sure that statement to himself was mean but if she was going to be so condescending towards him then she better back up that arrogance of hers.

"Oh are you sure?" Juliet's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Useless little me wouldn't want to get in the way of your absolutely pristine skills. I mean, what Mercenary WOULDN'T want to use a trap like that?" She motioned to his current project with clear disdain.
