Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Scout Superior Havilah sighed as he realized the tunnel he'd been exploring had come to a dead end. After the explosion he had made it his priority to re-map out the tunnels, but most were collapsed or blocked off, totally unsafe. The Mercenaries had a lot of digging to do to fix this mess, assuming it was even possible.
Whatever. It was DayClan territory and nowhere in their agreement did it say that Renegade Regime had to leave the tunnels as they found them. He just didn't like messes especially ones that left him at a disadvantage. All that time he'd spent memorizing the ins and outs of DayClan's underground was wasted... it was almost enough to make him sick.
Turning around, Havilah made his way back down the tunnel he'd come in through... only for the ground to cave in under him and sending him spiraling down into more darkness.
Of course Havi was the first to meet her again. This time, it just so happened that somehow, some way, wherever he landed, her voice seemed to echo 'round the hole. Maybe he'd died, maybe he was in hell. After all, in what other universe would he hear Emiko's giggling voice creeping up his spine, despite no one seeming to be there.
Havilah knew what to do when falling underground. Cadets and even kits were trained on twisting their body to fall feet first with their limbs spread out as far as possible so no one part of the body absorbed all of the pressure. As he fell, though, he was lucky enough to find his feet on a chute-like tunnel that her slid down to the bottom. He landed so well that it looked practiced, although you couldn't really see anything since this tunnel was in total darkness.
And then he heard Emiko laughing, causing his hackles to raise and claws to come unsheathed.
"You've got to have better things to do than torment me," He snarled, sparks starting to fly, this time intentionally. Shule wasn't around to stop him and he could claim self-defense if his adoptive mother ended up dead after this encounter.
Havilah decided not the respond and began to search around for potential exit points. He found a few possible tunnels although two of them were just a bit too narrow for his long-legged frame. So, he picked the largest one and began to work his way back up to the surface, hoping Emiko's haunting laughter would fade into the background until he made it back to safety.

Emiko wasn't so easy to get rid of. Her laughter seemed to follow him wherever he went, though no matter how much he looked behind himself, she was never there. Perhaps she was just out of reach, or maybe she was reaching him some other way. But he didn't appear to be losing her anytime soon. "You're such a great son. The best I could ask for, you know." Emiko seemed genuine in her compliments, which possibly made it all worse. The care she had for him was so clear, despite the horrible things she'd done to his parents and littermates.
"Dear Blind Protector, Emiko, go live your life somewhere else and give me peace!" Havilah finally howled toward the direction he thought she was, his temper short as ever, "Commander Shule says I can't execute you... but I'm starting to think if I keep listening to her the Regime is going to end up six feet underground permanently. So don't test me."

"You just need to come to your SENSES, Havilah! I'm your mother. I love you." Emiko laughed lightly, though the care in her voice was infuriatingly genuine. "Without me, your life would have been so much worse than you realize. I did you a favor."
"You're delusional," Havilah growled, slamming his paw into the hard-packed dirt between his paws. Was this hell? He still hadn't found a viable way out, but his personal demon always hovered near but far.
After a pregnant pause he continued onward once more, determined not to respond to her anymore. After all, it was giving her what she wanted, which was the last thing Havilah would have ever wanted to do.

"Not any more than you, trying to villainize me without ever taking a moment to listen. You always were hard headed. I should have taken you with me after that murder spree. Getting you out of the Regime a while would have done you some good." Emiko mused, seemingly not minding the monologue that Havilah was ever more annoyed by. And he still hadn't found her either, what was amusing.
"Are you even listening to yourself!? You say I'm trying to villianize you in one breath, then, in the next, go one talking about your murder spree. You made yourself into a monster, no one else," So much for not responding to Emiko. She was baiting him and Havilah knew it. Still, calling her out like this was oddly therapeutic. He'd never been able to have this long of a conversation with her since she revealed herself to be the murderer of his family.

"You thought me fine enough, even with a murder spree, until I told you about your parents' deaths. So maybe don't play the peak of morality, dearest Havi." Emiko pointed out. "Those two would have killed you if they thought it would get them ahead in life. Your father especially."
"Do you really think I'd believe anything you'd ever say?" Havilah challenged right back, the fur on his shoulders rising in direct correlation with his blood pressure, "I believe you had reasons for your murders in the past, but now I've learned they were nothing more than senseless. The actions of a cat who is little more than pure evil."
